That smug little wanker pisses me off.

Mario doesn't need to be associated with....that.
THANK YOU. I may not like Mario very much, but that little tween tart sucker I hate even more.

Now onto my take of this topic/post...

And to be completely honest? Why was this even written as "Nintendo hates Justin Beiber" ?? So what if they didn't want their game showing on little BB's movie/video. Let him go cry home to his mommy.

Maybe because Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is an amazing movie? That, and Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim) did this:

'To get permission to use the music, Edgar Wright sent a clip of the film and wrote a letter to Nintendo that described the music as "like nursery rhymes to a generation."'

Mario: 25 year anniversary.

Justin Beiber: 3 years from now, nobody will remember him.

Carry on, Nintendo. I see no problem here.

I love it. Nintendo's new slogan: "we may market to kids at times, but at least we're not idiotic Justin Bieber fans!"

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never hits theaters on February 11. Don't miss it!
I'm contemplating what horrendous torture I should inflict upon you for typing out that sentence.
Please let it be something with explosions and napalm!

So, first of all Bieber claims "We don't use that word (German) in the US" (when asked if he knew what his name meant in German) on Australian TV, now he can't use the Mario Theme in his movie?

*CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* Mario > Bieber.

Seriously, anything to ground this tit and his entourage in some harsh reality is a good thing.

The Scott Pilgrim thing is more nostalgia kick, plus they got product placement (a DS) so I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is just the Bieber-verse presuming they had carte blanche to use someone else's IP and they would be greatful.

i think someone forgot how the world works!

So...Justin bieber's music is like meticulous ear rape. Why would Nintendo let THEIR good content be used in a over sized ad for Justin bieber?

Has he raped or abused kids? Killed someone? Tortured animals? NO! HE JUST SINGS! Give him a bloody break you sad morons. I'd like to see you lot singing.

Oh sure he has little green antennas and has a little radar and spaceship sitting in his garage >.>

Yeah your right. Jealousy. Yet, is it jealousy of his age? His talent? Maybe that some guys wish their voices hadnt broken just coz then they MIGHT be able to sing also? ... Who knows.

So... the US doesnt use it? oka.. well.. lets go with that logic. Does his home country of Canada use it? Because he's starting to talk like he's born and raised American, which we will NOT accept canada. Please kindly own up to your trash, as (most reasonable) Americans will to theirs. Like um... Like Hannah Montana. Or really anything disney.

EDIT: Wait a minute, his ancestors are German. What the fuck does he call himself then when he describes his ancestors and the blood line in him?

I'm siding with Nintendo here. Scott Pilgrim is the kind of thing they'd WANT to inject their music into and you'd EXPECT to hear it in, what with all the VG humor and references. This... no. Just plain and simply no.

YES! YES! It's all true! Look what he did to poor Dave! *Points to a man in his mid-twenties, he's rocking gently, drooling and talking to himself. There is a Justin Bieber CD on the ground beside him.*

Simply put, Scott Pilgrim is something that fits with Nintendo's image, and Justin Bieber isn't. Also, Nintendo doesn't need the advertisement from someone who will be forgotten before the decade's over.
