So is microsoft's definition of an exclusive is that it comes out on Xbox and PC. Cause I'm not sure if that how their supposed to work. I mean I don't see KZ2 or Infamous on PC.
Yes, it is considered a "Console Exclusive" and Microsoft practically owns PCs so yes, it considered Microsoft Exclusive if it's on PC, Xbox, or both.
The that makes me feel bad for 360 fans when their exclusives are nothing more than PC ports. I mean rally the only way you can judge a console is in its exclusives. I mean its just my opinion but if you offer a console version of a game and then a pc version. I'm going to go pc everytime, if only for the greater amount of community interaction with the game. I actually glad that microsoft didn't port halo 3 or GOW2 to the pc and actually gave people a reason to play the console.
I don't see them as Ports, Microsoft own a huge portion of the PC market so of course they would want to release games on both consoles. As long as they aren't for PS3/Wii, I don't think they care.
Then that really only seems to be encouraging people to just get PS3 and PCs to play games. Sure you might miss a few exclusives but for the most part you won't miss any games. Plus accesories for the PC are much cheeper than the one on the 360. Hmmmm 10 bucks for a wireless router or 90 bucks? Decisions, decisions.
Eh, I still like my 360 though.
And I unfourtunately have a love affair with mods. Don't judge me!

That's because PC gamers are fussy buggers, we like well crafted games that aren't obvious ports of a lowly console game(don't get all offended I own a crapload of consoles as well, including the PS3). Some games aren't worth porting to PC as they will probably and historically be greeted with a bad reaction, look at Devil may Cry 15 (or whatever number they last made), that sold so badly on the PC market because it was a blatant port and sucked, the only exception I can think of is Halo and the thing that saved it was the multi-player.

Not sure why they didn't make Infamous for PC, they made Prototype...oh maybe that's why, might have found the answer for KZ2 as well, HL-2 and Crysis, and lets not forget Gears of War and the UT series, or FEAR.

I'm not entirely surprised since Activision are threatening to dump the PS3, and I certainly won't complain about spending $10-20 less for a PC version.

Good luck getting it to work on a PC without a Microsoft OS ;)
I don't think Microsoft gets any direct licensing cash like they do with consoles though. Although they probably sell more IDEs.

Although I don't know how the whole "Games for Windows" label fits in here.

There is also the relative similarity between the platforms. I don't know about the official SDK, but you can pretty easily write code that will allow the game to work on both platforms in XNA game studio.

Honestly, I don't really care. This game is shaping up to be more and more of a disappointment to me. Unless it gets great reviews, I'll probably just ignore it.

A real shame. Everything up to Chaos Theory was so great.

I could live with a Jason Bourne-styled Splinter Cell. After three games that relied entirely too much on trial-and-error stealth tactics, this could be a good change of pace for the series.
I agree.

I actually really enjoyed the first 3, wasn't too big on Double Agent, but this is shaping up to be pretty sweet. I was skeptical until I saw the E3 briefing video they got on XBL, and I shat my pants.

I'm pretty excited for it now.

EDIT: Okay, before you go "STFU it won't be exclusive GTFO LOLOL", read my post after this

Didn't the PS3 version of Assassins creed have horrible screen tearing issues?

The PC is not a console, and when referring to "console exclusives" they are just mentioning the Wii, 360 and PS3.

I know alot of people that might get mad at people calling the PC not a console.

I dunno, I never saw any, I only play in Standard Definition. And I was joking before.

From games, no. From OS installs, either OEM or retail, they certainly do. (though not as much as they make from their server OS and from Office, which are the company's real money spinners)

Seeing as it does more than just games, and from it's conception back in the 70's they certainly never called it a console, why would they call it one now?
