"The second reason behind this choice is purely linked to production," the explanation continued. "Having a single target platform means that we can optimize the game even further, because we only have one type of - console - hardware to support."
This is such bullshit, the game has a PC port, you can't get more hardware diverse than that. Why can't companies just be straight with consumers? Say it out right "MS gave us a shitload of money, fuck off Playstation owners."
Thank you. Companies just don't like to admit they love bribes.
The braindead idiots we call fanboys seem to want to forget this little fact of life and pretend Microsoft is the angel of the business.
And the braindead idiots that actually
are fanboys seem to want to forget that XBox 360 and PC's core architecture are a lot similar to each other than to PS3's zombie Atari Jaguar architecture (especially since the PS3 has zero forms of connectivity to Windows such as the Media Player connectivity or the version of Windows Messenger Live the 360 has had since ever not that anybody uses it). Also I suppose Nvidia/Ati, Intel/AMD, and all the other companies that make parts for computers were in on the bribes as well so they can see some profit increases from people upgrading their computers to play newer games if they so wish.
Where does the money trail end!? Oh noes! IBM is making parts for both the Wii and the PS3!
Conspiracy! ATI makes graphics for both the Wii and the 360!
Conspiracy! I hate to think of the veritable shitstorm that will follow should the PC version of this latest Splinter Cell iteration have the Nvidia logo in addition to its PhysX system!
I do so hope I can stop this hyperbole soon. Course that probably won't happen, since I'm sure you're one of those people who crows from the rooftops everytime a PS3 exclusive is announced, then act like Microsoft or Nintendo shot your dog everytime they get an exclusive
