Nose Bleeds.

I used to have them regularly, but now I don't seem to get them any more. Think I largely grew out of it, like earache. Anyway, none of them were very bad, mainly just a few drops.

On a totally unrelated note, 2000 posts! I call an international holiday.

Never had a nosebleed, I don't imagine the feeling of blood coming out your nose is a pleasant one. Must smell of iron for ages afterwards or something?

I have chronic nose bleeds and I used to get them almost everyday and they'd all be the big "blood dripping everywhere" type of nose bleeds too.

So any one of those.

i used to have that too.
this once time in school it was just raaaaging out of my nose and i already lost the will to stop it and my whole class freaked out, and i was just sitting there, making a puddle.

teacher: shouldn't you stop that
me: i should, yes.
teacher:why won't you?
me: meh.

poor bastard who had to clean that up.

OT: the longest time i had a nosebleed i had i for 3 hours maybe 2 and a half but i had hickups for 8 hours straight that is even more annoying.

Once just before I went to sleep my nose started bleeding. I had a cold at the time so I figured it was just a runny nose and ignored it. When I woke up in the morning my pillow was covered in dried blood. I was quite disturbed by that.

Well, I've been smashed in the nose a few times with hockey sticks, that wasn't fun (it was gushing like taps turned on full, out of my nostrils and all over the school's historic carpet).

I also get spontaneous nosebleeds - one doctor actually told me to drink it, because they were concerned I would get anaemia...I filled a pint glass from one nosebleed.

Then the other day I was swimming and it looked like I had been properly punched in the face, got it everywhere, but not so much in the pool, thankfully - I've only just started going to that one >_<

It's really strange as my blood clots extremely quickly if I cut myself, and the wounds heal quickly too - it's just nosebleeds that don't stop for around 20 minutes and pour away.

I normally don't bleed from my nose. I can't clearly remember the last time it happened, but I think it was in kindergarten: I have a vague memory.

I've had them that last half an hour or more. A wet cloth I find works best to staunch the blood loss, and I know a guy who taught me one of the best ways, if not a bit embarassing, to stop one is a tampon. I have seen it done before and stops it in around a minute.

I had one while sleeping, don't know how much I lost, but the pillow was entirely red, and so was most of my shirt and blanket. What made it worse is that I didn't even know while it happened, I woke up and it was over already, and my head was all sticky. Awful.

I've only ever had one nosie bleed ever. It happened at break time in school. I filt nomily then I just felt something running done my nosie fast. Went to wipe it and it was blood. it real unexpited. Since like I sayed that had never happened to me before.

So Escapists, What was the worse nose bleed you've had?

How long was it and how did it happen?

Usually I get those little ones. A spot here and there, nothing too bad. It's not until the weather is really hot that I get the bad ones.

Then I'm hanging my head over the sink, breathing out my mouth, and giving myself a bloodletting. My longest nosebleed was about an hour, hour and a half. If it goes for that long, then, I tend to get blood clots.

During a fight last year I got punched in the nose and it cut it inside and out. I had to go to hospital after. I still won tho...4/0 BABY!

I have only had a nosebleed once, in kindergarten. Some huge boy (who probably already shaved at age 5) threw a huge rock in my face. I cried, I was comforted, and I pissed in his backpack every day for a year.
The bleeding lasted for, I don't know, about 5 minutes.

Never had a nose bleed since I were about 6 years old.
Which is kinda weird, since I've been in quite a few fights, I've played hockey, and I've broken various bones.
I've also bled from my face multiple times, just not from my nose.

I don't really get a ton of nosebleeds or at least ones that come out of no where. One time though me and one of my friends were squatting during our weightlifting class and he had just finished his set when a thin trickle of blood came running down from his nose. we just kind of looked at each other, laughed, and went to get him a tissue. we got about half way across the room (which isn't all that big) when the flood gates opened. we ended up sitting in the locker room for the rest of the class trying to get it to stop bleeding. I had to leave to go to my next class but when I talked to him later that day he told me he had missed the remaining three classes of the day. That means he was bleeding for about three and a half hours.

No but having dried blood inside your nose is not the most comfortable feeling.

Mine lasted most a a night, can't remember why....I even filled my bathroom sink with a little puddle of blood.

Today at school when messing about with a friend my nose started to bleed... a lot. I had no tissues so I had blood dripping off of my hands and people telling me not to put my head back or it will come out my eyes... I eventually got to the nurses office where I sat for half an hour with my nose bleeding non-stop. Any longer and I would have had to go to hospital to have it checked. There was blood on my jacket and trousers. Although I didn't feel light headed nor was it sore, just annoying.

Although I did get to miss double chemistry

How long was it and how did it happen?

About as bad as yours actually, it lasted for almost 3 hours and I went through 3 rolls of toilet paper.
I got tired of that nosebleed really quick.
