Unfortunatly, they will have to end the series at number 3, which is a dissapointment to me to, AoE: III was too far from it's roots in AoE: II.
Stuff that I want dead:
Tomb Raider (AKA Dumb Raider), sure it was a nice series in the beginning (according to some), but come on, it is no fun anymore.
World of Warcraft - does this need any explenation? Anyways, namechange suggestion: World of Grindcraft.
Anything Mumbo Jumbo makes, because they backstabbed all the fans by killing the Sin-project.
Age of Conan - oh wait, that's killing itself.
FEAR-series - the first one was great (except for the heavy engine), the following expansions was too much of the same, FEAR 2 demo was just... lame.

AoE II is one of the greatest yes, Warcraft III being one of the others. Personally I'd rather World in Conflict up high with AoE:II, but that's me.
AoE: III I was glad I asked my uncle to pick up a copy from maylasia for me.

I would really like to see the following 3 games brought back!
1 - Cannon Fodder: I used to love getting attatched to those little guys and seeing what rank I could get them upto. The level design was great and the controls simple and intuitive. Given how longs its been since its last installment I feel its long overdue a sequal.
2 - Elite: Given how good the other elite games were a sequal is long overdue. There is a whole generation on missed out on how good elite was trading, exploring, dog fighting and the immersion.
3 - Twisted Metal: More of the same please, more cars more enviroments and enhanced graphics. I want to go out and wreck shit.
Honourable mention goes to Kilelr Instinct and Dungeon Keeper!

Now I am actually convinced the Halo series is my personal best game series ever, I loved Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 equally, each for different reasons. However I worry that all these spin offs are going too far. Especially when many are being developed by someone OTHER than Bungie (there was no way of saying that without sounding like a fanboy, beleive me I've tried) and I just think the series is over. I may cry for no longer may I see the Arbiter or Cortana or even the Cheif but at least I know the series ended with the reputation of my favourite trilogy ever, keep it as a trilogy.
