Where are all these bugs people keep talking about? The only complaint I could rustle up about the game is the weak writing of the Saudi Arabia missions and the depiction of SIE. Apart from that, what's not to love?
I also went in as a field agent vs. Brayko, and I punked his ass through careful juggling of Assault Rifle/Pistol. But then again, I'm used to playing games with horrifically unfair boss fights (God of War, for instance).
I think that part of AP's failure can be traced to marketing, as well -- there wasn't any. I only found out about it because I follow 'upcoming' news obsessively. But I bought it sight unseen because it's Obsidian (makers of KOTOR2, or 'the good KOTOR game').
I support the creation of Beta Protocol, and I say unto the publishers of the world: you have my money if you back this game.
