Sten had to go back to his homeland
morrigan was TRYING to disappear
alistair might have a nation to rule.
Wynne is probably dead by now
The Dog, Zevran and Oghren are the only ones who pretty much stuck with 'the warden' or said "i'm going to wander"
That's the whole point of the mod - you can spec Zevran for ranged combat from the ground up. Want to use Alistair in your party but you are a tank yourself? Spec him for Dual Wielding. Want to use Sten as your main tank? Spec him for Sword&Shield. Etc. etc. The mod resets all the stats and talents so you can redistribute them as you see fit.Sir John The Net Knight said:Never really found much use for Zevran. I was range heavy and Leliana provided plenty of utility that he really didn't.Jandau said:As far as the latecomer goes, if you're playing the PC version I'd suggest looking up the Respec mod that lets you reset the stats, skills and talents on any character. Really helps with some of the poorly built characters. Zevran's total lack of lockpicking skills is also a problem that I usually fix with that mod.Sir John The Net Knight said:Alistair bitched out on me and ran away when I spared Loghain's life. Fucker took my Superior Dragonscale Armor with him. And Loghain comes into the game way too late to build him up well.
The MetaGame Items mod [http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13] is better imho as it does all that but also lets you do things like change your class (Mage Human Noble? Done.), Origins (Dwarf wants to become King of Ferelden? We can do that) or just change your party members anywhere.Jandau said:That's the whole point of the mod - you can spec Zevran for ranged combat from the ground up. I really tried, I thought "Oh, giant strong warrior, sounds awesome, from an exotic land? Even more awesome! Boring monotone, one word answers EVERYTIME I seem to talk to him... UGH..."Hurr Durr Derp said:I believe that's a pretty common issue. It seems everyone who hates Sten dumped him early on and never got him to open up, while many of those who used him for a longer time think he's pretty cool.Archemetis said:Ah now see, I found him so mind-numbingly boring that whilst attempting to get him to open up I just told him to take a hike and never come back...AboveUp said:Sten wasn't so bad after he opens up to you. Plus his sword searching quest wasn't too bad.Archemetis said:Oh No, give Ohgren some credit Sten is FAR worse than anything in that game...
Although saying that as soon as I got Ohgren I never once used him...
Well...Galad said:Well, they have to keep Morrigan and Alistair for Dragon Age 2 after all..
Well, Shale excluded, Sten? And... uuuh... I think that's it.Altorin said:fair enoughhazabaza1 said:Well, I found him okay. especially when he's having a go at his dog for stealing his pants (trousers, goddamit! You're a dwarf!) even when you didn't have the dog in your party.
Well, Zevran can also be dead, so I don't really think they'd give him a major role.Altorin said:Alistair could be dead by the end of DAO. It would be hard to write a story involving him that didn't use ME2 shortcuts (and they would be shortcuts)
Morrigan is clearly more of a villain type by the end of DAO. Either she's run off because you refused her Dark Rite, or she's run off to have a Demon Baby. Either way, she's more of a villain then a character you could bring back as a player character.
But yeah, Oghren? *sigh* I preferred Zevhran's humor
Hey, who CAN'T you kill in DAO? I know you can kill Wynne and Leliana... can you kill Oghren? Is that why he was picked? Because even if you side with the golems, he doesn't attack you, he just laments his wife's choices that led to her death
Pretty sure Sten attacks you when you enter Haven but I'm not sure if you can kill him there or just beat him down to make him get back in line as I've not done it myself.hazabaza1 said:Well, Shale excluded, Sten? And... uuuh... I think that's it.
