Ok, the main character of the last game you played attacked you... How screwed are you?

I'm playing Demon's Souls right now. I'm a magician. I think I'll be ok as long as I kill them before they kill me. If I'm not my character, then I might be in trouble. I know martial arts, but I dont think that will/can help me much.
The last game I played was a flash game called Telepath RPG Chapter 2.
The main character can shatter the mind of anyone at an arms reach and can call down a burning hellstorm of fire on anyone standing infront of him.
If I do somehow manage to get a shot in, he can heal himself by attacking me with pure pain (I don't even know how that works).
He's leading a demon/human/robot army with members at least half as competent as him.
And he always gets to attack first.

Seeing as how I made him into a ninja who can kill nigh-omnipotent demons with four-swift jabs, I'm pretty much screwed. He could probably just poke me and I'd explode like I swallowed a grenade.
...Not to mention that he could just teleport right to where I am, so I can't even run or hide.

Somehow I don't think Kachi from Sin & Punishment is someone I'd want to be attacked by...

Oh great, i'm going to get the ever-loving crap beaten out of me by a 800 pound(at least) gorilla wearing a red tie.
Chibiterasu attacked me? AWESOME HE'S ADORABLE. I am probably screwed though, he has a magic brush and a giant-ass sword...
I could beat my Oblivion character:
- my character is over-leveled which must mean I'm probably stronger than him;
- I can also run around him while he tries to hit me with clunky movements, he never does.
Also my targeting system is better;
- I can "yield", so he stops attacking me, and kill him in his sleep;
- put a mirror in front of his face and he dies of a heart attack or commits suicide;
- I put a grenade in his po... oh wait that's another game.

Miles Edgeworth? I think i can take him. I doubt his hideous neckwear or habit of screaming "OBJECTION" can do much against a spear to the gut.
