Hey guys. My best friend and I have been trying to find a game we used to play together way back in the day. It was one of the nostalgia moments where we went to the movie/video game rental store together, and tried to find the best game for 2 players.
Countless hours of searching and THINKING, "That's the game!" when doing searches, we still have no idea what the name is. Here is the description.
It was a Super Nintendo game. You flew an airplane or a helicopter, still not 100% sure on this, but believe it was a plane. You were in a cockpit interface. I believe you could select what to do, but Player 1 would pilot the aircraft, and Player 2 would fire the weapons. It wasn't a side scroll shooting game, and it seemed like an open world, but that may have been too sophisticated at the time. Either way, it was pretty much like a dog fighting/shooting stuff on the ground game. Problem is, I don't believe either of us ever played a single player, so we have no idea if the game was any different. I know it sounds pretty vague, but I don't recall throughout my life many games that let you operate in this fashion. You usually controlled and fired your own vehicle/aircraft, with a few buttons to fire and use your special. But this game utilized the different buttons on your controller for various weapons and the pilot would use different maneuvers to avoid enemies.
Any and ALL help would be greatly appreciated. Even if you have an idea that this MAY have been a Playstation One game, that's fine too. We are both totally convinced that it was Super Nintendo, but there is room for error. I don't think you guys realize how many times we've had drinks together and reminisce on the game, and then continue to have more and Google search with more luck. Maybe we should try it sober for once, but that takes the fun out of it.
Thanks everyone. I hope someone can help solve this long mystery!
