Hey everyone,

I have been reading through this thread slowly and can't believe all the classic games I used to play listed in here, but there are a few that I still just cannot remember the names of...

1.) A PC game, probably from the late 90's, it was sort of an isometric viewpoint with the camera changing when you would go to different areas, was set in a mostly modern, but somewhat dark and slightly futuristic cyberpunk-like city, I am not sure if I had the full game or just a demo, but I remember having a character that sort of looked like Neo with the trenchcoat and all in a parking garage and would walk out onto a dark city street and these two cyberpunk gun men would chase after you depending on which way you went and I remember I could never get away from them, it had a free-roaming sort of vibe but I never got that far in it to truly know.

2.) Another PC game, probably mid-late 90's, it was sort of a top-down RTS with RPG elements like picking up loot and controlling more of a single group of fairly generic warriors/mages/rangers rather than building bases or anything like that and each group member had their own inventory and I remember fighting orcs on grassy terrain with wooden fences/palisades and campfires at the start and saving a few more characters who join you and I think you could do little quests and such, I remember the graphics leaning a little more cartoony and vibrant (sort of like Warcraft II, but zoomed into the map a bit more and the colors were definitely brighter).

I found the other two out, was Dark Rift (3D N64 fighter) and Killer Instinct Gold (2D N64 Fighter) with human torch looking character.

Thanks so much for any help on figuring out what these couple games are named, I really appreciate any suggestions!
1.- might be

That was it!!! All came back to me once I read the name. Thank you so much for finding that, was looking for that name all last week. You deserve some sort of game treasure hunting medal for your service in this thread. Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

I apologize in advance for the vague description!

It's an RTS. Semi cartoony graphics. Top down view. I can only remember two of the units in the game.

One of them is a ranged unit. Black robes, skeleton face (I think), may have been called a lich or something similar. Ranged fireball attack.

The other unit is a melee unit that I think was mostly purple in colour and had a sword and a large purple shield. The most identifiable characteristic of this unit is probably it's very clunky walk animation.

Unfortunately, that's all I can remember. If anyone knows the game or can even point me in the right direction, I will be very grateful.

Thank you to all the awesome people who answer this thread :) Good luck everyone!

Edit: I played it around 1998-1999 on PC

Hmmmm that one looks interesting, but I don't think it was it, I remember this one having more 2D and cartoon-ish graphics giving off a bit of Warcraft II sort of vibe. Of course, it was years ago and I could be remembering it wrong though... Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it a bit closer to make sure!

Hi everyone im looking for a game i used to play on my friends pc he has also forgotten the name. It was a single as well as multiplayer tanks game where one player would use the traditional directional and functional keys and the opponent would use the numberpad to navigate. Each team had a base which was a whole section with buildings and ammo and gas refill stations. The vehicle could be changed i remember a pick-up truck/jeep. The aim of the game was to navigate from your base and destroy your opponents base while finding a flag on their side to win. Between each base was a wall with gun towers. The game ran on windows 98 and was semi 3D i think. Or should I say not completely birds eye view. It had some 3 dimensional angle. It was also split screen horizontally. Please can someone assist. Graphics Looked similar to Army men.
very likely

I've been thinking about this game that I've played a couple of times on the PC when I was a wee lad.
The game was like a platformer-shooter i feel like it had alien characters, there were levels with laboratories and caves. I do recall that there were little power ups, and something about "green containers" is within my head. I cant reacall if it came on a CD that had a bunch of demos on it.

Hi!

I would like to ask help to identify the game I forgot the name of and vaguely remember.

I played the shareware version of the game between 2004 and 2010. It was a ball and paddle game, like Arkanoid and Breakout. The twist is that there were no bricks on the field as far as I remember but lines or strings you had to break. The game was Asian themed, the paddle was looking like a spaceship and when you moved the paddle thrusters activated on the bottom sides of it. I remember some of the powerups, one of them was called "Drunken fuel" or something like that, it made the spaceship wobble up and down when you moved it sideways, there was an "Ice fuel" one too, it made the spaceship slide around and there was another one which made the ship move fast and hard to position.

Hi everyone!

Does anybody remember an Amstrad CPC game in that you manage a spacecraft and you can visit planets in two different solar systems, one of them is enemy and another one if your own system, in order to win you must destroy all cities of the planets located in enemy's system, you can also travel to the sun but only small amount of time because you will die of overheating, additionally there are several space dock stations in your system where you can fix your spacecraft, you win the game when you destroy all enemies cities and you lose when your spacecraft is destroyed or when all your cities are destroyed.

Does anybody know what game is? I am looking for it desperately.

Thank you.
Daniel.

the video is for a C64 though...
Is not that game, in the game I am talking about when you orbit a planet you see the planet from above and you can switch your weapons between fire to straight point to shoot other spacecrafts or fire a bomb to the planet in order to destroy cities.

hi there

in fact, i don't remember much of the game, but as mush as i remember:
- it was a PS1 game.

- 3D design.

- something between horror and strategy.

- it was about a girl living in palace (or castle) and it was about different people trying to enter the palace and you (playing as the girl) to prevent them from entering the palace and catch you.

-in each level there are a person trying to enter the palace, there were a level where two character trying to catch you inside the palace.

- i don't remember how was the way to prevent people from catching you, but i guess you need to throw things at them, closing doors, making noises that make them scare or something like that.

this is most what i remember of the game.

Hi guys, I wanted to ask if anyone remembered a game I dont remember. Its a board game like monopoly but instead you fight monster and level up and gain skill use magic book more like dokapon kingdom. But in this game you can own and town and turn it into a castle turn into a powerful broken op demon, in dokapon kingdom its not broken sadly and its not that fun for me+ no castle. The game is you are trying to get something from the king with requires you to have the most money so you do that by fighting monster and players, fight monster you can buy gear to fight bigger monster till game sesson ends I think I dont remember that part, and if you get too far behind a bat as in animal black bat stars to fly around player character then you do contract with the demon and all your money turns to 0 and you go hunt other player although you dont get money from other player but you can take their gear that is about all I could remember.

-conquer town invest into castle?

-fight monster buy new gear, use magic from magic shop or loot box.

-very similar to dokapon kingdom

-turn into demon, contract with demon.

-ps1 game I think or maybe ps2 but I mostly think its ps1 I think its in 1998-2005 somewhere I played it, prb ps1

-cartoon game, not very polish like anime cute character very simple I think one of the character have a very big yellow pant and yellow hair and is holding a sword.

- I I cant think of anything anymore, please help me. I I tried TT I want to play it again. dokapon kingdom never come to steam.

-oh yea there are class too I think maybe it this version mage thief sword man(yellow hair dude) I forgot 1 more I think there are 4.

-I think there is boss too but I dont garentee maybe my hallucination where if you beat it you get lots of money, somehow I am pretty sure and pretty not sure. sorry.

-I remember when you turn into demon sound clearly it goes like tu tunh aaaaa ahhhhh aaaaaa tu tunhh aaaaa auuuuuu ahhh aaaaa tun dan tun dan tata tann tan dan ta tu tunh repeat.

I want it so bad TT. I have a feeling this will fail TT. what do you call this type of game genre? I love these type of game its say RP but all rp I search is like final fantasy etc role. I want a game like dokapon kingdom.

Thankyou for reading and spending time thinking. I hope I get it. Looking to hear from you.

So, i have been searching for this game on the internet for a long time.

- It is a Sci-fi/futuristic game

- Its a War/shooting game, you control one soldier and have the other AI soldiers help you to fight an army of aliens.

- You see your soldier from a distance, like Zelda games.

- You could ask for reinforcements (soldiers) based on how many aliens you killed, an i remember they would come in a small spaceship in groups of 4-5, there where many tiers of reinforcements.

- You have to defend a base, there where usable turrets there and some interactable doors etc.

- I remember the game title having "war" and a year like "2031" or "3000" on it, but im not sure.

- And i remember playing it on a Cd ROM on PC, in one of these "1001 games" CD that comes with a magazine.
discarding the suggested title, sounds like

Dark Colony (1997)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPk_5Tw0OIM

there is even an expansion

Dark Colony - The Council Wars (1998)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK-2TMcEUaY
Its not dark colony (but very similar) :(

You control just one of the soldiers, and kill aliens to earn credits. You can use the credits to call reinforcements, one of the reinforcements is a ship that drops 5-6 soldiers into the battlefield.

Hi there!

I'm struggling to find a RPG game, not so old, I think maybe 2008 or 2010 or newer...

It is a game where u controls a guy and a girl, not at the same time, but they run together.
If u control the guy, the girl is by his side killing the monsters, bandits with a bow and if u control her, the guy is by her side killing them with a sword or hammer...

The guy is bald and the girl is white (not sure if she is and elf), and as they pass through the levels, they will talking and teasing each other...

but the high point is to buff the weapons with something that glows (purple, blue, red)with something that u can find in the chests. These buffs have a count, a number of times that can be used and then ends.

The environment sometimes is dark, in caves, sometimes is in ancient places...

Sorry for my vague description, but I dont remember anything more than that!

Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a game that similar to Starcraft. Like a game where you try to destroy the other groups. Only one of the groups was just a giant lizard. No building, no nothing, just a big lizard.

It was an old PC game.

Sorry for the basic nature. Thanks guys.

Ok, this has been driving me nuts for 10 years.
I'm not sure how much I have been corrupted by false memory so bear with me.

I played a demo from one of those magazines that came with a cd (lol I'm old), I think it was mid 90s, not sure if dos or windows, I remember the game being in 3rd person, horror shooter, the setting was some sort of haunted manor with various monsters. I think there was a flying camera around the player as it was a kind of tv show but the monsters were real and maybe you gained "viewing points" by making skilled kills. Strange thing was the implementation of bullet time where some kills would have a slowmo replay. Maybe there was a girl to save and a conductor on pop up screens and maybe there was a pop up screen with the flying camera pov, not sure.

Seemed to be really hard, could never get passed a certain point with a specific monster. I think I never passed the demo. No idea if it was ever released as a full game. Never heard of it since. I started thinking about it about 10 years ago and got amazed about how it was nowhere to be seen on the net.

Would be amazing to put this one to rest after such a long time.
