hi,
i'm searching an old pc game. i rememeber it was adventure game like Alone in the dark but earlier; there was a medieval city with strange buildings, a castle, a church and a library. Outside the city there was desert, brambles and dark creatures.at the beginning of the game, during the attempt to kill the king (or someone else) you were poisoned with dark knife. In the game you are banned and you turn into the beast slowly. You can use a special fight move but, if used, faster became beast.
I remember at some time you went to a harbour tavern and you must win a guy at Othello to sell and buy objects.

thanks

sounds like

Hi everyone!

Does anybody remember an Amstrad CPC game in that you manage a spacecraft and you can visit planets in two different solar systems, one of them is enemy and another one if your own system, in order to win you must destroy all cities of the planets located in enemy's system, you can also travel to the sun but only small amount of time because you will die of overheating, additionally there are several space dock stations in your system where you can fix your spacecraft, you win the game when you destroy all enemies cities and you lose when your spacecraft is destroyed or when all your cities are destroyed.

Does anybody know what game is? I am looking for it desperately.

Thank you.
Daniel.

Hey everyone,

I have been reading through this thread slowly and can't believe all the classic games I used to play listed in here, but there are a few that I still just cannot remember the names of...

1.) A PC game, probably from the late 90's, it was sort of an isometric viewpoint with the camera changing when you would go to different areas, was set in a mostly modern, but somewhat dark and slightly futuristic cyberpunk-like city, I am not sure if I had the full game or just a demo, but I remember having a character that sort of looked like Neo with the trenchcoat and all in a parking garage and would walk out onto a dark city street and these two cyberpunk gun men would chase after you depending on which way you went and I remember I could never get away from them, it had a free-roaming sort of vibe but I never got that far in it to truly know.

2.) Another PC game, probably mid-late 90's, it was sort of a top-down RTS with RPG elements like picking up loot and controlling more of a single group of fairly generic warriors/mages/rangers rather than building bases or anything like that and each group member had their own inventory and I remember fighting orcs on grassy terrain with wooden fences/palisades and campfires at the start and saving a few more characters who join you and I think you could do little quests and such, I remember the graphics leaning a little more cartoony and vibrant (sort of like Warcraft II, but zoomed into the map a bit more and the colors were definitely brighter).

I found the other two out, was Dark Rift (3D N64 fighter) and Killer Instinct Gold (2D N64 Fighter) with human torch looking character.

Thanks so much for any help on figuring out what these couple games are named, I really appreciate any suggestions!

There was this point and click adventure game pc game I had as a kid, I don't recall much of it but it was one of those classic myst type pictures combined with drawings and actors videotaped adventures, it definitly wasn't older than 2005 but I played a lot of old games so it could be any time really.

I don't remember much of it, but I remember the start of the game, you were in this town at a lake and you would need to find those plastic rings that keep a 6 pack beer together (or was it some cola bottles/cans?) to catch this speaking fish and you'd get I think a lamp or something and you could knock on someones door and you'd get some cheap ass indiana jones imitation type character talking about the fish I think.

I recall being stuck at the very start cuz I was afraid of entering the black water pit somewhere in the game.

I think about those few scenes regularly and I've thrashed my entire 'old stuff' room trying to find the disk of said game and I even spend hours upon the internet trying to find the name of the game using all kinds of search terms I could think of but remember, this is like, early 2000's, and I never found it.

Maybe the game is crap, maybe it's one of those hidden gold classic gems, but I just want to play the game so I can see wtf it was that the fish was saying and everything.

So, i have been searching for this game on the internet for a long time.

- It is a Sci-fi/futuristic game

- Its a War/shooting game, you control one soldier and have the other AI soldiers help you to fight an army of aliens.

- You see your soldier from a distance, like Zelda games.

- You could ask for reinforcements (soldiers) based on how many aliens you killed, an i remember they would come in a small spaceship in groups of 4-5, there where many tiers of reinforcements.

- You have to defend a base, there where usable turrets there and some interactable doors etc.

- I remember the game title having "war" and a year like "2031" or "3000" on it, but im not sure.

- And i remember playing it on a Cd ROM on PC, in one of these "1001 games" CD that comes with a magazine.

Hi guys,
I hope you can help me! I've played a classic point and click adventure back in the late 90s (I don't know if the game was current or older). I only played a little bit at a friends place, so I don't know too much about it, but I loved it and would really like to see if I can still get it.

The game went something like that: You are one (or more) astronauts (I'm rather certain) in some cave system. The first puzzle is to find a way through the caves. The caves are "wholes" which are connected to each others and you need to find out which connects to which to find a way. When you finally find the way you are suddently in a fantasy adventure land and I think you try to find one of your crew or something like that. I'm rather certain the theme also contains dragons. That's pretty much all I remember. I was facinated that it started out as a space/future thing and turned into some middle of the earth fantasy thingy.

Well, I hope anybody can give me some hint. I allready went through most of the Wiki page on adventure games but didn't find anything.

Greetings!

Hey,
thanks for the quick answer, but it wasn't The Dig. It was drawn more like the LucasArts Games (They of the Tentacle or Sam & Max). And once you left the cave system from the beginning you pretty much where in some medieval times world, which had a cave for a sky, but was still very colerfull.

Any information or hints would still be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone im looking for a game i used to play on my friends pc he has also forgotten the name. It was a single as well as multiplayer tanks game where one player would use the traditional directional and functional keys and the opponent would use the numberpad to navigate. Each team had a base which was a whole section with buildings and ammo and gas refill stations. The vehicle could be changed i remember a pick-up truck/jeep. The aim of the game was to navigate from your base and destroy your opponents base while finding a flag on their side to win. Between each base was a wall with gun towers. The game ran on windows 98 and was semi 3D i think. Or should I say not completely birds eye view. It had some 3 dimensional angle. It was also split screen horizontally. Please can someone assist. Graphics Looked similar to Army men.
