Hey all. New here, but I'm looking for a rather specific NES game. Overall, it was fairly similar to Gradius III, but it switched between a top-down and side view depending on the level. I remember bits and pieces of levels/ bosses here and there, so I'll just throw it all down:
A top-down level, in a sea of lava. The boss here was some form of lava golem that emerged from a "canyon" type divide in the lava. A side viewed level, water themed- little water globule enemies would attack you en masse, and slowly conglomerate on your ship- not doing damage, but slowing you down until you were forced to the ground, dying. A top-down level, where the boss was some form of massive spider/robot thing. A side-viewed level, in space, assaulting some form of green battleship with turret emplacements. A top-down level with laser gates and buttons which had to be shot to navigate further. A side-viewed level, featuring extreme darkness- a bipedal mech would pace in front of you, with a searchlight tracking up and down in an attempt to find you, upon which you would be shot. The boss was, as one might expect, a large bipedal mech that fired a wide-arc sweeping laser, up and down. A side-viewed level, with narrow, high-tech hallways- the mechanic of the level was that the screen would move extremely fast, trying to force you into walls while the path suddenly would angle and change, with snap-reactions required. The boss was a weird... thing, with arms, that attached to the sides of the hallway and fought you at high speed, breaking down in multiple phases, a latter one featuring a wall of explosions and attacks following you.
Aware this is all rather vague, but I figured every detail might count.
Edit: A rather helpful stranger on the internet helped me find it, Axelay was the name.
