This specific game I saw someone ask about on here, but the post is nearly 4 years old and no-one responded. I'm gonna edit it to what I know was in the game for a fact, but still need help figuring out what it is.

"(Some of these details may be distorted or not completely accurate but I'm going off of what I can remember.)

I remember playing this PC game around 1997-2001, and I believe it was through the old Jukebox Shockwave player. The character was a guy with long shoulder length hair, possibly like dreadlocks, that were ginger. He seemed to be an average guy on a personal mission, And I recall him having like goggles pushed back through the front of his hair, (I feel like I remember him wearing some sort of surgical mask over his mouth, unsure though) and he may have been dressed strangely (I seem to remember almost like his clothes didn't really match well).

The one important aspect is, during the intro, you're greeted by someone who's identical to you. He says something along the lines of, "I'm your great, great, great, great (Etc, it either goes on for a long time, or has a "a few hours later" transition)" grandfather/grandson.

The game was sort of pixellated looking, but the graphics weren't incredibly bad for its time. This guy had a ship and was exploring space, (I distinctly remember if you hit the 'edges' of space, you get a warning that counts down since its out of boundaries) but I can't remember if his ship crashed/ran out of fuel, or if he was simply adventuring various planets, but Its seems like there was the option to go to other planets almost like in star fox, but more 2d looking. Also, the only planet I can remember him exploring was this odd desolate sandy mars-like planet (Which could have been mars, or a made up planet). It was a somewhat puzzle-like game if I remember, you had to do specific tasks in order to progress. It was also a 2d sidescrolling game, but I feel like the characters might have had a bit more detail to them, similar to Abe's Odyssey. Other characters may have been around, but if so they were probably like weird cartoon-y aliens. If anything close to these details comes to mind, even if its not exact, please share. I'm so eager to find this game, and I hope someone can help."

Hopefully someone can help, I've been trying to remember this game for years to no avail.

OK, so there's one game I played back in the 90's (Around the time Outrun by Sega was out) I think it was Konami made as it was along the same style of some of their games. So in this game you were a small guy with a gun and would run and get into this blue car, and drive around. I think you were like robbing places? When the car took damage it would smoke then catch on fire, you could exit the car and go on foot to find another blue car to drive around in. I think the cabinet said Renegade , however Renegade, usually leads me to the Side scrolling fighter. I know NES had a version of it too. It's not GTA either.

It must have been fifteen years ago at least. It was a 3D game (with very cartoonish graphics) where you could wander around this city and rob buildings. Very puzzle-based, with guards that followed a prescribed path. If I remember correctly, you'd record your moves, then play it forward and see if your plan worked. Anyone remember this one? It's been bugging the hell out of me and I don't remember quite enough to pin down the name. The game was for the PC.
I would be happy if someone recognize game but as me can't remember name to write something more about it... also if u need some more info. please ask me, i don't know what more to say about it, but if you ask question maybe i remember something new that would help us find out :)

I would really like to find this game, i'm looking for it more than 2 years now :(... thanks for any future help
Anyone?

Did you play as a squad or a single robber?

Heist came to mind for the timeframe:

Was it 1st person or 3rd person? What did your character look like?

It was 3rd person and you played as single robber, also it was cartoonish... A character remind me to Gru from "Despicabble me" movie, but maybe little thiner than Gru.

thanks for replays :)

An 80s arcade game.
First you played as a spaceman on the surface of a side scrolling planet. After completeing the level you then fight in your spaceship above the planet. Then you pick a new planet to repeat the process. Possibly the ship fight happened before the surface fight.

After all the planets are conquered, there was was a Space station level. After which hazy memory suggests the final boss battle.

I've been trying to find a game for a while I used to play in my early childhood from the late 90's-early 00's. I remember it being similar to the Sid Meier's Civilization series and it had a hex-based grid. There were like units on the grids, such as a blue man or something (I think). The one thing I remember the most is that when a unit died, a grave would pop up and it says 'R.I.P' and it stays there for a while. I used to play it on one of the early Windows machines, can't remember exactly which one. I think it was the XP.
Sounds very similar to what I am looking for!
Still looking please anyone!

Hey im looking for a game that I played in the mid too late 90's. Very crude graphics by today's standards. it was 3D.

It seemed to be a Japanese mech warrior type game but there were sections where you would walk aboard a ship/maybe a base. But ultimately could pilot the machine.

I remember a snow level (one if the 1st couple levels i guess) where one of your team mates gets blown up?

Definitely a Japanese game.

Regards

Hi guys, I really need your help to find this game:

It's a 3D game I used to play it on Windows 98 or ME, I think It's between 93-96 cause I got it once in a CD with Virtua Cop - Virtua Figther 2 - The House of the Dead - Bubble Bobble 2 and many other cool games.

There are 4 Colored fish to select and many areas like amusement park or ghost town, It starts with a huge square grid, We are standing on one side of a square, Initially, the sides are in black colour, we can highlight it (the color will be specified with the player's color ) by moving around the four sides of a square, we can obtain scores by highlight more and more squares, there are also some tools along the pathway, like making others square disappear, they have to make all over again, and there are some monsters, they move all over the square grid, they are blocking the players way and there are also weapons we can use. This game can be multi-played ... which is very awesome, and the graphics and everything in the game is nice as I can remember.

plz help me get its name, much thanks..

I need help trying to remember a old space sim game
It wasn't 3D or actual combat, but it had strategy, you could visit station in each planet, and each system had a lot of planets ( with a lot of system logically )
There were 4 Faction, all humans but with different ideals
( The Federation, The Rebels, and other two that focused on Mafia and Trades )
The combat was simples, two ships on each side, you would chose your action ( Fire, Advance, Board, etc )
I remember well, during Board the game would change to strategy combat, with my troops taking each part of the ship one by one ( it was very rare to actually reach the bridge and seize control, because of the unique Combat Machines, even tough I was full Marines )
What else...

There was also a sequel to that game where you could create your own Pirate Faction and effectively try to seize control of the entire universe ( tough I never found out HOW to create my own faction actually )

Pretty sure that's Xain'd Sleena [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtWYgrN75SM] (A.K.A. Solar Warrior, or Soldier of Light).

Probably Shogo: Mobile Armor Division. The first level is in snow, and both teammates can get blown up, though that doesn't affect the story (and with how poorly allies aim, it doesn't affect the game, either). Multiple levels also had to be played on foot.

I'm trying to remember two games that have nothing to do with each other and I'm pretty sure they came out before 2000. They were both console games.

Game 1: It was a side-scroller where you were a little person, maybe a witch, trying to collect stuff. I think the level looped until you got everything.

Game 2: It might have been a top-down game. I remember a ladder, and I think you had to fight a slug. Maybe you had to shoot it. The slug(?) was in the middle of the room, and I'm pretty sure the room was made out of metal.

YES! Thank you so much! No matter how long I tried digging, I could never find any sign of this online. You're a legend!
