Hello everyone. I really need help finding this game due to a friend of mine's current situation. He can't stop having nightmares about the game though it's old so he only remembers bits and pieces. Here are the things he remembers.

When he was 7 years old (now 18) he played this game on xbox. It was an FPS and the most he remembers is there was a part in the game where everything looked apocalyptic, grey and foggy, and on this hill was a cross with this bird like creature nailed to it similar to jesus, crows flying around the creature which then looks up at you while(?) its dead.

It could have just been a small part in a game rather than a big plotline but from the description it seems like a horror. He said he played it on Xbox. His therapist has been asking him to find out what the game is for a while now, trying to find the root of his night terrors.

Thank you and please let me know if you find anything out. If I don't see what's on here for whatever reason please email me at redacted
I think he's remembering Pestilence from The Darkness [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uthowHw5puQ] (he comes up around 1:34:35 in the video I linked, and there's some low-quality screenshots here [http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/720416/images/darkness_ch2_b01_070.jpg] and here [http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/720416/images/darkness_ch2_b01_071.jpg]). Hope this can help with the nightmares. :x

So me and my mom are trying to remember this game which was for what I assume is the original Xbox
It was a multiplayer game and the characters had swords
For some reason I remember it being somewhat oriental?
And for the most part the atmosphere was really foggy, like this was a prominent characteristic in my head and I don't know why... this description is so vague, if I remember anything else I'll be back.

hello everyone.
So here are 2 games that I have been trying to remember by name.

1.
This game is about a teenage boy who gets picked out to be the next secret agent or some sort. It's an old school game mostly point and click with puzzles to solve. What I remember from the game is that you have to find a way out of a camp and trap this sergeant to proof yourself.

2.
This game is totally different but from the same time as the above. You play as female who needs to save the world or something? It plays in a steampunk kinda era and you are accompanied by a guy with sunglasses and a Mohawk and with your best pal the robot dog. It's also point and click but with combat and more 3d feeling.

Think you guys can help me out here?
Not sure about the first game, but the second is probably Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator.

Okay, I'm looking for a game (probably from the early to mid 2000s), it stared a (I think) green man, who was always in a squatted position, I am fairly certain that he wore a brown (or green) tunic and goggles (although that might just be my bad memory) what I can remember 100% is that the game is 2D, the character had a very long tongue that was used for platforming/collecting the objects in game, and I *think* his name began with the letter "G" and that the title of the game had something to do with "Legend" or "The Legend of -----" I used to play it all the time on my dads PC, although I am unsure whether it was for Windows or Linux.
The closest I can think of is Gex.

Hey, so I'm looking for a particularly old title. This was a Nintendo DS role play game. All I remember largely is that it starts in a Chinese setting with a woman walking around and she encounters a dragon that she fights which she falls victim to said dragon and gets kidnapped. Her friend (I assume) learns of this kidnapping and goes after her, trying to bring her back and stop that dragon.

Hopefully someone can ID the game. Thanks!

Hello everyone. I've been searching for this game for days but found absolutely nothing at all.

It's a pc game that had pretty good graphics for that time. I remember playing it like 9-10 years ago, it's 3D 3rd person but more of a plane view (the camera was more above the head rather than behind it, so the characters looked smaller than usual), where a guy kills I would say pirates or ghosts (I really can't remember, maybe neither) with direct combat (not shooting), located on an island with weird places (some weird locations I really can't describe), and eventually you take a ship and sail through dark and scary tunnels with lots of ghosts that you have to get through while sailing, then you land on another weird island and continue the process.

From the gameplay, I remember you can summon like 3 ghosts to aid you, and another really cool thing where when you have the capability as a character you can hit the ground with the hammer or summon thunder-like powers to take down multiple enemies as once.

I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Reposting this:

Mid '90s DOS game, got a shareware version on a PCGamer CD back when a single CD had like 20 demos on it. I'm going to guess the demo was '96 or possibly '97.

Gulf war themed (it is NOT Desert Strike, that's what I thought at first too). Top down view (I think), not isometric. You can play as a helicopter or a tank and can spend money to buy weapons or upgrade your vehicle. Action shoot 'em up. You need to land your helicopter and pick up POWs and bring them back to safety.

Please to be naming the game I'm thinking of, por favor. Been driving me crazy.
Are you sure it was top-down. If it was side-ways on it could be Cobra Gunship?

Also.. Curse (but mostly bless) you efficient and good, dedicated, old game masters.
(I don't want to name names. You know who you are!)
I finally had a really obscure game that I knew about but you beat me to it.
I didn't think anyone else knew about Solar Winds..Or Galapagos..or ..heh!

Oh man, this thread is amazing! I have some of these 'can't remember the name of this game' problems myself... but this one is the one that drives me craziest. It's about collecting aliens from different planets.

System: PC in the age of floppy disc games OR either Atari or ColecoVision (not completely sure where I was playing this one, I kind of thought I was playing it on the TV and it was a cartridge, but I could be totally wrong. The lists I find online for titles at least directly from those two consoles' makers- which were the consoles my family owned around that time period- don't show anything that looks like this game from what I can tell, so probably PC? I'm totally at a loss, help!)

Year: Was playing this in the late 1980s to early 90s. I am not sure if that's when it came out.

Gameplay: Your screen is always the control room/cockpit of your spaceship, with a viewscreen either showing space, or the alien planet that you have landed on. You go around to different worlds and discover different creatures you can see on your view screen some look friendly and others look mean, and you pick up specimens of these creatures and the number of creatures you have in your ship goes up (it's just a number on one of your panels) but if you pick up the wrong ones I guess it eats all the other ones and you go back to zero. I never figured out what the point of this game was or how to complete it but now that I'm an adult and not a wee child I'd like to find it and figure out what the point was and how you progress/'win'. Some of the creatures were interesting looking. They moved slightly on the screen so you could tell what was a living creature and what was just part of the planet backdrop.

Anyone have any clue what I'm talking about?

Hmm... Sadly no, I think this game was much simpler than Starflight. I don't remember you being able to do much else besides travel to different planets and collect different aliens. The aliens you collected were a little more cartoon-looking than the look of what I'm seeing for screenshots from Starflight, and there were no other races to interact with as far as I could tell. Very simple, always the same one screen sort of game. You never saw anything different except through the view screen, if I recall correctly. Then again, as I said I was too young to figure out how to play it properly though I did try. But the graphics of Starflight definitely look a bit better and like they're trying to be slightly more realistic than the game I'm looking for. For creature styles of the aliens, think more "Spore," less "Alien". Some were quite imaginative, but they weren't trying to look realistic even for the graphics of the time.

I've been looking for this game forever. It's an old PC point and click game where you were a car trying to save your car friend from being scrapped by some evil tow truck (I think it was a tow truck). You had to find all the supplies to save him through mini-games, like get spark plugs from a haunted mansion, get gas from a celebrity car by finishing a maze in her dressing room, and race a car for something else I can't recall. Once you beat the game, I remember sometimes in the outro the evil car would say "That's all folks!" or other little quips. I must've been super young, so it might have come out in the early 2000s but I could be wrong.
Boosting after a year of no response. Still trying to find this game.
Please help me...

Well, I definitely never played this game so I probably can't be much help... but... I dunno, the only thing I've seen that I can think would be like it because games that go back that far that having cars-as-people like the Disney Cars movies are the Wheely games. But I can't find a single one out of the 8 games that has the plot you mention and they seem to be more to be platformer puzzle solving than mini racing games? Anyway, you could search YouTube for Wheely and take a look at the start of one of the walkthroughs and see if that looks anything like it? And if not, it might help to add what about that was NOT like what you're looking for? Might help me narrow. I've been looking for a couple games for myself on every site I can think of and I can keep an eye out for something that looks like this too, but the more details the better.

Hi,

I'm searching a DOS game, point and click styled based in space I think. I remember you started in a jail but I didnt got really far. I do remember you had to breack ur cell light and grab a piece of wire from the wall, then u laid the broken glass in the sunlight wich started burning and a guard comming in, then u chocked the guard with the wire. After that I can't remember me much except for a closed door wich I couldn't open back then (I was fairly young) I do believe that jail was on a other planet (probably mars)

Hope someone can help me out here, I been searching for years for this game :)

Another game I'm searching was a Hearthlight clone, but I remember it being blue gems that u had to collect instead of hearts, and it had an level editor..
Bump.. Srry I just want to find the game

Neither of these sound like something I've played darnit, but has anyone suggested anything so far? I can't remember from when I sped-read this thread, to see if anyone had looked for, or found, the game that I was looking for. The DOS point and click adventure game could be Fade to Black? But I haven't played Fade to Black so I don't know I just know it takes place in space and begins in a prison.

Hello there seekers, I have an old game to find.
It is an rts with living mechs. Weird, right? You bred them and equipped with genetically mutated weapons. The weakest weapon was the hammer, which gave our bronze colored monster a pair of flailing hands. Without them, the monster would bite for minimum damage, which was a sad thing cause it took a long while to get them trained.
Another thing was a sort of beacon antlers or feelers that enhanced something like vision or map centering or some other obscure thing.

It was 13-18 years ago and I believe this was on PC. Everything was kind of dirt-bronze colored. This was some weird sci-fi - fantasy world. Not exactly a rocket spam game, everything took ages.

I vaguely remember that this game had something to do with genes, albeit it has very little in common with Genewars.
I played just a few first missions at a friends house who doesn't remember it at all.

Help.
Likewise, bump.
Perhaps someone heard of this rts.

EDIT: Found it! It's Warbreeds.

Please, for the love of god, if anyone could help:

I remember it being a horror/suspense/escape kind of game, that you started on a manhole/sewer exit or something like that. Its a VERY old game, I remember by the graphics, I just don't know which platform. It was first person, you were in some kind of house. The starting point had kind of a medieval aspect of it, with like dungeon stones looking like a prison around that manhole. I remember a glimpse of a long shot in like a desert with someone walking or something like that, maybe you could take a look in a hole between the stones, and the thing I remember the most about the game is the books. There was a library or something, and I think I thought of that game as a kid as "the book game", I think the books played a huge part. Maybe you could examine them or something.

This is not much but I'm sure someone else here played it, because for me, in my country to be able to play that game at the time, probably it had some success, I'm guessing. I tried searching multiple times, "first person horror game" and a console, like Atari, Sega Saturn, etc. No success.
Anyone?
