I am so happy to find this thread! There's a game I remember playing back in middle school, so sometime in the early 2000s, and I believe it was either on the PlayStation 1 or 2. The main character's name was Virgil -I'm fairly certain- and he had short brown hair and I think he wore a trench coat. And in the game you kept having mysterious dreams, hearing a mysterious voice and it had something to do with your past (I think you're supposed to be half demon, but I'm not 100% on that). And you had to escort/protect this young woman.

And that's all I've got, but I would love to find it and play it again if I could. Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Hello, I'm new here.

Anyway, there was a PC game I played in the 3rd grade. It wasn't really a "game" per se, it was more educational.

This game was pretty weird. There were at least four activities you could do. One of them was to draw a pattern on a background and either a group of circles, triangles, or a ballerina dancer could follow that pattern. The music played during this activity was really nice. Another activity was to simply play notes on a piano/xylophone. Various sounds included an 80s like synthesized sound or sheep (hitting mallets on sheep). This was a lot of fun to play, but I can't remember the name of it. This could only be played on the PC and it seems you could play it on a Windows 95 or 98 system.
Funnily enough someone was just mentioning Thinkin' Things Collection 1, I think the game you're looking for is Thinkin' Things Collection 2.

It's a long shot, but could it have been the arcade coin-op game Out Zone?

I specifically remember playing a game back when I was younger. The game was about a little male crocodile, which had a female crocodile as a girlfriend and she was kidnapped by a "bad guy". You had to go through levels, killing other bad guys to eventually end up on a boss fight with the bad guy.

During the game, there were some weird fans on the ground, which would help you turn into a swirl shape and I think move faster. It also had spikes that could kill you.

There was an option to create your own level too. The game had a green colour theme going on, and it finished with "to be continued".

I'm sure it was Windows 95, but I could be wrong
That was probably Alex the Allegator 4.

Hey guys, need help! I used to play this game in the late 90's, I think. I played it only on PC. The plot, from which I can remember is about being a babysitter for a scientist father. You're alone in the house with a baby when all of a sudden a portal opens up an alien being comes through it. The being takes the baby through the portal and it disappears. That's pretty much all I can remember. The game seemed similar to MYST in terms of style and control of the game.
Okay, this time I'm pretty sure this is Lighthouse: The Dark Being [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrmNgq9EUtY].

Hey guys. So I am looking for a pretty old game. It was working well on PC on Windows (not sure which one). It is kinda a strategical/tactical game where armies fight (no guns as I recall, only swords, horses, etc). And I remember the idea was to place your given army (I guess it should progress as you go further) in a line (or like 2 rows are available) on the one side of the battlefield and then you just press the begin button and the fight starts. (I don't recall having an ability to control the army once the fight begins). So the tricky part is that I don't know if it is the whole game (placing your army in anyway you want in the battlefield before the fight and then letting them fight) or if there was more to the game. Anyway I also recall that after the win there were different upgrades available for my army and I could choose one (i.e. archers can shoot far away and there were probably like a few levels of the same upgrade which just simply makes it better).

The best visualization of the idea of the game which I can give you is if you look on your screen and there's one task-bar at the bottom and one at the top. I place my army in any order I want in the bottom and then press the start button and both armies move towards each other and fight untill there's a winner.

Hopefully something like this actually exists and someone can remind me of that game

Have a good day everyone!

It's a first person pc game from late 1990s to early 2000s.

You are a male character on some kind of quest. The game starts in the heros cabin in the mountains/forest. You have to go through the house and take necessary items. Not everything in the house is selectable so it's lots of point and clicks. One item I remember always finding was a sack. If you did not grab the sack you'd only be able to carry a few items once you left the house. Once you leave your house you never go back. I remember being able to forage for berries. I know there were a lot of puzzles in the game but the one I remember most clearly is you had to reassemble an organ made from crystals based off the length of the Crystal and the pitch It produced. I I remember one other odd puzzle. you were trying to sneak into a mountain (maybe building??)and you had to climb up the outside and come in through a window. When you came through you were in a room full of women in a hot tub.

Any help would be so appreciated!

Hello everyone!

I looking for 2 games. I was child when I played with them, it was at least 10 years ago. I have some accurate memory pieces but i couldn't find the games with keywords. Os was win98. So the 1st one:
It was a kinda 3d ball game. In the main menu you could choose among some ball textures. In the main-menu's right side there were 3 "stage". First with 12 levels, second idk, third with 4 levels this 4 were extra levels, you couldn't play with them before complete stage 1-2.
Gameplay: Top of screen was black thick line, and white time counter maybe you have to complete the level to time. Control: left and right (maybe little slow down with down) Sometimes you had to bypass some barriers cause when you hit it, it stopped you. And sometimes was accelerator field on the "field". The last levels (of 1st 12) had moving barriers, which came from the ground and it moved frequently up and down even at the whole width of field (which was 6 or 8 unit)
I think that the terrain was a bole on the 6th level. The terrain was never the same, each map had a different terrain and skybox, but it was just design.

The second: I have less memories about it. The object was that, you have to reach a rocket. But it was also a kinda ball game. You had a little ball, you had to hit planks or going threw bubbles to remove it. When you cleaned the map you launched the rocket. I could play only with the demo but, I could see the levels in menu. It has around 5-8 stages. Six levels in each stage, here the structure was an inner hexagon the stage label, and around the inner there were 6 outer hexagons which were the maps.
Oh one more thing: on some maps there were a thin semi-transparent line and when the ball went threw the line (it was inevitable) you couldn't control the ball until it bounced from the opposite wall.

I didn't even remember these games for a long time, but since the memories "came to the surface" thence the thought isn't resting me.

Thanks: Simon

Okay, I'm looking for a game (probably from the early to mid 2000s), it stared a (I think) green man, who was always in a squatted position, I am fairly certain that he wore a brown (or green) tunic and goggles (although that might just be my bad memory) what I can remember 100% is that the game is 2D, the character had a very long tongue that was used for platforming/collecting the objects in game, and I *think* his name began with the letter "G" and that the title of the game had something to do with "Legend" or "The Legend of -----" I used to play it all the time on my dads PC, although I am unsure whether it was for Windows or Linux.

Hi All,

And thank you in advance for any assistance anyone can give me with this.

I am looking for the name of a console game, multiplayer dungeon crawler type in 3rd person looking down on the characters. The character choice screen is underground or indoors, and I think you can only choose from about 3 or 4 different characters, one of which is a male dwarf, no real customization, can't choose gender or anything. There is 1 female choice I think. I also think the heroes, the characters you played, were supposed to be ancient heroes that were brought back to life to help with a problem/crisis and you completed tasks/missions as you progressed through dungeons, but I'm not sure about all of these details.

I believe it was available on either Xbox (before the 360) or PS3, and we played it after 2004 (sorry I can't be more specific then that about those details).

I believe you could collect things found in the dungeon(s), sell them at various points you came upon as you progressed through the areas. I can't remember whether you could upgrade your character or armour but am fairly certain your weapon could be upgraded to some degree.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Bit of a random guess here, but maybe Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWLya893a0A] for the Xbox?

Hi all,
I played a casual game many years ago. It was somewhat of a puzzle game, sorta like clue-ish. your in a make shift house. in the beginning the house is small, but as you progress, the house gets more rooms. Game comprises of matching items to eliminate them. after which, there is a final pieces that solves the mystery. I know the game realy well, but cant remember the name of it. I know its very old, as a few years ago(when I DID! remember the name) I went on a hunt and found it quite difficult to find, so now I am sure it is even harder. I'm thinking BFG might have it, Any guesses? Thanks!!

edit:
found a rip-off of it.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (can find on bfg)
this is an UGLY copy of it, but the game is exactly like that, with better gfx and game play

There was a computer game I used to play on the late 90s early 2000s.

You played against another player, there were planets of different sizes which created gravitational pull as you shot at your opponent. Depending on how close you came to the planets, the route of the shot would shift. You were able to hide behind the planetary objects to make it harder to be hit.

Any ideas?

Hello guys.
Still searching for a old PC game. It was breakout, arkanoid type game. There was this yellow ball who hit bricks and there was multiple powerups. One of them was that ball starts flashing in different colors and it has sunglasses on and it destroys every brick thats in its way. You could play with a friend too, with the same keyboard 1v1. Soundtrack was weird, one of the songs i believe sounded like - Excalibur, i swear it or something like that.
I really hope you can help me on this one.

Hey there! I'm trying to remember two old games I played in like 2001 (both games where probably made between 1990-2000). One was an Egyptian themed point and click where there was a group of kids/teens. You solved puzzles and what not.
The other I remember a lot less of but I remember a jungle-ish setting, there were simple puzzles and coloring things. I also remember something with a cheetah? And maybe a tree house? It must have been a free game though, because my grandpa wouldn't have bought a game back then.
I was maybe 5 when I played both of them and they were definitely made for kids. I'm just curious what these games were and maybe want to try them out again. Thanks if anyone can help!

Inquiring here 2nd hand for my girlfriend, who's been trying to figure out a game she vaguely recalls and has been trying to find for years. Her memory of the details isn't very strong, so some aspects are estimates/approximations, but the details are as follows:

- The game was most likely on the SNES or Sega Genesis, though its possible it was very late NES or early PSX/N64. She literally doesn't remember what she played it on, but based on the time frame, I'm inclined to say it was likely SNES/Genesis though. Its definitely not a PC game.
- Graphically, she says she is pretty sure it was 2D graphics with a top-down visual style, probably not 3D polygons.
- She describes the game as "dark/gothic fantasy". Most of the screenshots from games I show her, she ends up saying were far too colorful (for example, Phantasy Star was too bright/colorful)
- The game had limited or no combat; either there was none, or she didn't get far enough to encounter it
- As she describes it to me, I've hypothesized that it was something of a point and click adventure game, because she says there was a lot of investigation/puzzles and talking to town's people. Either way, it was more of a puzzle/thinking game than a mechanically challenging one, and part of the reason she remembers so little is because they couldn't progress very far.
- A key element that she distinctly remembers is traveling through wells, either to go from one location to another, or perhaps as some sort of teleportation hub. She also says there might have been something like going through mirrors but she's less sure of this.
- She thinks the game had some sort of puzzle elements involving making potions or alchemy

Unfortunately, the key elements that she remembers (the well transit system) don't really lend themselves to google searches, so no matter how much we've searched, we haven't found anything that fits her recollection.
