hi guys i remember playing a cop (or a detective) game in the late 90s on windows 98 (A dos game im guessing). The player starts off in his apartment looking for his handgun and car keys (the car is parked in the road downstairs). The player character wears a black full coat or something similar. Next the player should go to the city bank (i vaguely remember a white building) where a robbery is taking place. The bank is surrounded by police. The player is tasked to get a megaphone. Once thats done the head cop uses the megaphone to negotiate with the robbers who have hostages. The robbers demand a helicopter, the cops agree and a helicopter comes and the robbers escape (dont remember much about the hostages). Next the player is asked to diffuse a bomb which is placed in a dustbin. Once the player diffuses the bomb, he is asked to find the helicopter used by the robbers. The player has to drive to someplace and finds the helicopter. Inside the helicopter the female pilot is killed.

And thats all is what i remember from the game. Maybe it was a demo game dont know.

Please help me find this game guys. And its not police quest but is VGA i guess. I dont remember. Please help been searching for this game for 15-18 years now

Okay, I've made an account specifically for this and this is a long shot!

I played this game when I was a kid. It was for PC, came in one of those thicker boxes and may have had more than one disc. You play a little purple magician with a cone hat who has lost something/his girl and has to find/rescue it/her. There is magic involved and it's sort of an RPG. I can remember so little about it. There seemed to be stages and i definitely remember the second boss being a massive spider with a bunch of smaller spiders as well. I also remember there were fragments of this sword you could assemble over the game and one of those fragments was located within a big thick area of tress.

That is literally all I can remember. MAIN CHARACTER IS A LITTLE PURPLE MAGICIAN WITH A CONE HAT

Thank you!!
i think its "brave dwarves 2 deluxe"

Hello everyone, this is probably a long shot, but here goes.

I have been trying to find two specific games I played when I was a kid and have been searching for them ever-since then. They were both played on windows 95 in the mid to late 90's. For clarity and efficiency, only GAME #1 will be mentioned here with GAME 2 being mentioned later in another post.

= GAME #1:

= I only remember one specific scene/part or level for this game and not much else, so I'll do my best to remember.

= I believe it was a 3D sci-fi shooter (fps) game set on a (possibly red/Martian-terrain) with alien doom-like enemies.

= The part I remember was likely at/near the beginning of the game as it had a tutorial/introductory vibe to it.

= I believe the level had you (the player) being led/instructed along a transparent shielded/force-fielded path (similar in my head to a glass aquarium observation tunnel) across the red terrain by a female computer voice as you go.

= outside of the shields, a battle/war was taking place between allies/humans(?) and the enemies/aliens and the allies either lost or were losing. You could actually intervene in the battle by walking through the shields into the battle, where the enemies would try to shoot at you whether you were inside or outside the shields, but I believe that you were unarmed at this point.

= I don't think the aliens or their projectiles could pass through the shields, only you could. So long as you stayed on the path inside you were protected. Reminds me of the beginning of Halo CE where you can see the enemies up close fighting allies, but you were unarmed and defenseless until you later find weapons.

= I think the female computer voice would tell you exposition about the enemies, their attack on the base or whatever, as well as something along the lines of "do not be concerned, the enemies wont be able hit you so long as you remain inside the shields" and would scold you and/or warn you to return if you left them.

= I think the planet's(?) terrain was mostly uneven/natural and rocky, possibly openly explorable in that area too (not linear)and the path may have only been a go-between between 2 buildings/structures or to/from a ship. Possibly the rest of the game was open and outdoors too, but not entirely sure of anything in this particular paragraph/bullet-point to be honest.

Anyway let me know your suggestions to what the game could be, I am at a loss so far. All help is much appreciated, cheers :)

Hi guys, I'm looking for a game that I played when I was young. It was a side-scrolling CD game on PC platform in the year of 2000s may be(or 2000-2005), actually I don't know about the release date of it. I've tried my best to remember most of the game details but I cant remember the name of it.

The starting animation is talking about a man was locked in a tower in the sky, a mage(maybe?) casted magic to free him.
Although the game is side-scrolling game, it looks like 2.5D. The background is 2D picture but your character and the enemies are 3D image. It is a kind of adventure game, and you have a health bar and mana bar on the top left hand corner.
In the game you can choose 3 types of character, a young man with sword, a young girl with staff and a man using two-handed axe.
I remember some of the default button which are "Z" and "X", "Z" is using a light attack and "X" is a heavy attack.

There are several types of magic you can use, fire , ice, lightning and recovery.
Each type of magic divided into 5 levels, I only remember fire and ice.
Fire L1: Single fire ball drop on a single enemy (Auto targeting to nearby enemy)
Fire L2: Fire burning on the left side of right side (depends on character facing direction)
Fire L3: Lava blast at all enemies position
Fire L4: Large explosion (Area of effect)
Fire L5: Fire from the fire phoenix (Area of effect)
Ice L1: Ice Spikes appear at a single enemy's postion (Auto targeting to nearby enemy)
Ice L2: Ice Spikes appear at all enemies' position
Ice L3: Ice wall created on the left side of right side (depends on character facing direction)
Ice L4: Ice Storm (Area of effect)
Ice L5: Ice Age (Area of effect)

And here are the stage and the boss that I try my best to remember.
Stage 1 - Forest, boss: rock golem
Stage 2 - Floor 1
Stage 3 - Below 1, boss: ice drake
Stage 4 - Below 2, boss: 2 ghost
Stage 5 - Below 3, boss: skeleton mage(necromancer)
^And this boss I think is a main enemy of the game because my character need to talk to him before battle.
Stage 6 - Floor 2, boss: a flying, upper body, large skeleton with both scythe-shaded hand(hand bone)
**Actually it looks like a skeleton reaper, but it is flying and only have upper body
Stage 7 - Floor 3, boss: fire drake
Stage 8 - Below 4

One more thing there are 5 different BGM in the game. Each of them is used for Stage1-5 respectively. And Stage 6 use the first BGM and so on.

I just only remember the stage name and the last stage that I reached is 8.
Please help me with this, it is a memory for me and I try my best to remember the details of it.

A few games. 1st game is a game where you are a monkey and you have to play minigames and stuff to progress and you found a note or map in a bottle in the ocean so you have to make a raft. A minigame I remember is you have to make ice cream for penguins.
2nd game. It's an alien game from a up to down view. not straight up and down. more at an angle. You start off outside of a building with only a pistol (i think) and you have to circle the fence enclosing the building and then you come across a hole in it so you have to go through and then enter the building. In the build there are green aliens, red, yellow, and you can even have explosives. and you can find armor and ammo as you go along. i dont rememeber much more.
3rd game is a game where you have a ship and you have to go from town to town on the ocean. you can upgrade your ship but when you go town to town there is a chance to run into pirates.
The second game might be Alien Shooter ?

Im so glad I discovered this place as this game was bugging me for a long while now and it really irks me everytime when I cant remember the game. I'll try to backtrack some pages and try to help too if I know the game.

Its a ps1 game and an rpg where you go on a quest/adventure (cant remember the reason why sorry) kind of like Final Fantasy 7 style.
I remember this ONLY one particular cut scene where a group of people confronts a dragon/some kind of beast, one character uses the move "Love Tornado" or "Tornado of love". Sends flying hearts all over the dragon/beast then it becomes unconscious. You see the people get out of the place and when you talk or interact with the unconscious dragon/beast, it will awaken and you will have to fight it and obviously dont stand a chance.
Ive been searching and still am for more than a year now. If anyone knows this game let me know
and Im sorry for reposting

you guys know a lot of weird games!!

here's a crazy one...

this was on the commodore 64 sometime in the late 80s, early 90s. my cousin got it from god-knows-where. it was in italian, i think. the loading screen was a green/white/orange italian flag (i think that's the italian flag), and then there was a screen of vertical yellow lines we jokingly called the spaghetti screen.

it was 8bit 2d sprite graphics. you started in a field bordered at the top and bottom by trees. you were a knight-like dude, talking to a princess-like woman in a white dress. black wraith-like things would swoop down out of the forest and try to grab her. you couldn't move (or could only move left/right?) but you could hit the joystick button to swing your sword and kill the wraiths. until they became too fast and eventually grabbed the princess and floated off with her.

the next stage was the same field, with your horse. we named him 'stupid.' because you couldn't call him over, you couldn't go up to him and mount him, you had to chase him around the blasted field all day. there were brown N shapes across the top and bottom of the screen that you could pick up -- they were fence pieces -- and eventually, you could buils a corner to trap the horse in and get on.

the third stage was like a horizontal frogger game. you had to cross a really wide water obstacle by jumping onto various islands. every once in a while some sort of flying thing -- it looked like a tiny yellow sun with a music note tail -- would zoom in, and if it hit you, it would make your horse jump back towards the starting shore... and most likely fall in the water and die.

after THAT...! you ended up in a clearing in front of a distant castle. the castle defenders were lobbing some sort of... well, they didn't look like cannonballs, because they splashed on the ground like oil or something. (maybe that was supposed to represent cannonballs? anyway.) in this stage your horse didn't run or jump. all you could do was ride back and forth and press the button to make him eat violets on this castle lawn. no, i'm serious. i THINK the object was to eat all the violets without getting splashed... but we never made it to the end of this level :/

any clue? on how to even search for it? i keep searching for italian commodore games, but all i get is 'italy 1990' :/
thanks!

Trying to find one myself. I remember playing it on the PS2, but it's been a LONG time, before 2006, so that's a Cut off. 3rd Person Shooter, start off with a Handgun, story mode starts you off on your own, you find a girl that helps you out, with two others that come and go. there's a weapon switching animation that has the character put the gun into a thigh holster, and pulling another one out of it.

The first girl you find is blonde, I believe, and sometime during the game, the two that tend to split off, one of which is male (possibly black, but definitely Barret Wallace muscle type) who says, and I'm quoting a memory on this, "Buddy up! ASAP!" The first woman responds, "Wait a minute..." But the other two are gone before anything else is said. I remember the Pistol, a submachine gun, and a shotgun as weapons, though there are probably more. And the first level is essentially in a complex that has Fire Grates somewhere down the line. Either that, or it has Fire in the name.

The controls I remember from the game are as follows:

Move: Right Analog Stick
Shoot: R1
Camera: Right Analog Stick
Weapon Cycle: Triangle

I think Circle makes you crouch, but I can't remember for certain. I Believe there's also an Auto-Lock but I can't say for sure on that either.

It was also out at the same time as Operation: Winback so that might help. Lost both games years ago, and have been searching for them recently, after getting another PS2.

I also don't recall a Multiplayer Option, but I may be off on that one. Also, I do NOT remember if there's a tutorial or not.

I've been trying to remember a game I've played a long time ago and I just can't.

It must've been atleast 5-6 years ago.
I thought it was either PC or WII but I went through the entire WII list and couldn't find it so... either I didn't check well enough or it's PC.

I remember it for being a visually stunning game.
Far as I can remember the main character was a little kid, was accompanied by an animal (a wolf maybe?)

The graphics were very japanese-style, minimalist.
I know at some point the child is climbing a mountain and there are petals / flowers around. Pink/red/white/black.

It was a third person view!

If anyone would happen to remember, I would be so grateful ;_;

Hello! Now this might me kinda difficult. I cannot find a game used to play at my Amstrad 1640 MS-DOS (not CPC6128) when I was a child. That game had a gameplay that was between Space Invaders and Xenon. The name that I'd given to it was "the zambons" because one of the species that was attacking was like mini zambons or something like that. I can also recall a boss that was a giant egg that as many shoot it got it was cracking before it's final destruction. Ok I know I made your brain yogurt now but if someone knows it I would be greatfull!

I remember when the first iPod touch came out my little sister had this app where you took care of this coloured pebble type thing. I remember you feeding it, petting it and at the start of the game I remember you picking different elements to put together to create the pebble. For the life of my I can't remember it but if anyone can help me out it would certainly ease my mind :D

I played this game but I can't remember the name.
It was trippy/psychedelic-like. The only things I rememerber that it was in a kids playroom and you were the kid/baby. The environment was oversized and you were the kid (first person), solving puzzles. One puzzle was with a carousel and some creepy teddybear who was following you. I coudn't play the game for long cause it maked me nauseous. But I want to play it again now. I think it was slightly horror.

This is hard to explain... but i'll try to describe as much as i remember..

it was on Win Xp around 2003-2004. Its a car game...sort of.. a sci fi car game... im guessing i played a demo version of the game.

The player gets to control a monster truckish car to which we can change tires and add or remove parts in real time. Each part gives some different ability. The game starts in bright sunlight. The car has to go around some science camp where some aliens attack (or so i think) and everything is being destroyed, by now the lighting is dark and its night time. The scientists(or normal humans not sure cause they are very small) are small when compared to this monster truck and can be run over.

and thats all is what i remember...please help me get this games name guys
