I'm going to give this a shot. I've searched online and asked countless people but haven't had any luck. I also don't remember much about it.

What I do remember:

Main character is either a caveman or a g.i. joe type of guy.
I remember a level (near the end? Were they levels and not just different areas of a map?) that was a bunch of bubbling black tar and you had no avoid it.
Another level with tons of junk food (pizza, ice cream)
One of the weapons was a gun shooting purple pellets
Was viewed from an arial perspective
The main amount of "levels" were palm trees and simple grass with rock walls
I think there may have been dinosaurs
Was not 3d from what I can recall
I believe we had a Mac at the time, so I'm assuming it wasn't a PC platform. I may be wrong.

I loved this game so much as a kid! I think it was sometime around 1997-1999. Hopefully someone has a lead!
A long shot, but I remember renting time on the Macs at the public library in my hometown around 1995-1997....there was a game I used to play all the time that sounds a bit like what you're talking about. Power Pete? You are an army guy in prehistoric times, there are dinos, a purple gun, trees, rocks...don't remember about the tar pit, but I never got far (could only check out computers for an hour). I bet this is your game.

That feeling right there is probably one of my favorites in the world; rediscovering an old game and getting ready to relive the glory days. I recently went back and played all the old edu-games we used to have on our macs in elementary school. Dr Quandary, Factory, Amazon Trail, Yukon Trail...they just don't make em like they used to.

Glad to be helpful, this kind of knowledge isn't usually in my 'useful' category.

I am very desperate with the search of a game.
1. the genre i think it is : medieval/fantasy
2. i played this game on the PC, windows XP.
3. It was in the year 2000-2005, in the time of cs 1.6
4. The name i remember is B.A.M or B.A.M.S.E
5. the vision is the same as heroes 3 ( the vision from above ).
6. The unit that i remember is and stone giant ( the same model as tiny in dota, but smaller )
7. another thing that i remember is that 4 units ( workers ) could join to form some kind of a building ( a base ).
8. In the first level i could destroy buildings and get some equipments. In the middle of the map i remember that i had some archers to defend, the part of the building destruction happens on the lower of the map.
9. The distinctive feature would be that in the second level after some time the game would crash. Every time after an step the game crashes.
10. I think that some dragons spawns in the level 2.
The graphics weren't too great.
Help me to find the title of the game
Can someone help me with this game name? I remember that the first map was a town and i had some archers to put in the middle of the map in a key position. The rest of the army was ravaging the buildings to get some goodies.

there was this old game i used to play on this emulator full of genesis games i believe.

The game started you playing with a small herbivore dinosaur and there were these strange alien dino versions of em.

you started off with both an herbivore and a carnivore. The herbivores would eat the grass and make you win points (that worked like mana of some sort on wich you could make it rain on where you chose or make fires)

after a few lvls you would get a new dinosaur like an egg eating one a pterosaurus and a few others. The enemy alien things would also get the same ones you got. like the egg one would get a ninja guy that would eat the eggs with rice lool

you would spawn these dinosaurs with a weird kind of looking egg incubator that would shoot off the eggs around it. you would also need said "mana" to produce dinosaurs.

If it helps of any ways:

Stegossaurus was green?
T-rex was purple
pterodacty was purple
egg eating one was green
triceratops i believe was also purple
and the allossaurus was red.

An old game has been bugging me. Played it on a demo cd with many other games.
Graphics were like androids but slightly improved. Your ship would start on a circular planet with a few buildings. Gradually your planet would build up and producen an orbiting landing pad where you could pick up upgrades. Later colony ships were made and would float round your planet.
While this was happening you could fly your ship and if you sucessfully landed on a new planet it would become yours. These colony ships would then fly to this new planet building buildings and defenses.
While this was going on enemy ships would be doing the same. You could kill colony ships before they arrived kill enemy planet buildings allowing you to claim the planet.
Any help much appreciated

Hi

I remember playing an intense adventure game (at least, it seemed that way then) when I was about 7-8 years old, in 1996. I am not completely sure about the years, but it was the '90.
We had this SEGA game console (not sure if 16bit or 8bit) that you play with cassettes, and this was the game included in the console, that you could play when there was no cassette. It was something about a kid that goes through worlds, something like mario but more serious, with different traps and puzzles to solve to go next. I can recall a certain waterfall that killed you, and you had to get fast under it.

If anyone can remember and tell me what game it is, I wish I can find it online.

Thanks.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsjwEuWgPS0 )

This was built into the Sega Master System II consoles.

I remember playing this game, it was a 2d platformer. I don't really remember whether you used swords or guns (it was probably guns) but I remember 8 levels each with almost impossible bosses (at least for me at that time). Before you could choose those 8 levels there was an intro level with a boss that was very big but fairly easy.
Mega Man X? ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd2NqblSmIY )

( What system did you play it on? Also what year? )

Hey!
I'm trying to remember an old game i played long time ago. ( i'm 18 years old now )

The game was build like a maze but you still could see the whole map.
There was monsters like Mummys, vamprires, flowers, green frankstaine, werewolves...
in some levels there also was a giant monster like the ones i already said and darkness that you could see your character.
How you killed the monsters? you took items and throw / stab the monster.
I remember you could also kill the flowers by Spraying them, and the vampires by stabbing them with a Wooden stake.
There was many levels on the game.

Thanks so much for the helpers!!!
P.S PLEASE HELP ME D:

Heya, not sure how I got here but I have a game that has really bugged me.

It is on the Xbox and I had only played it at a demo at a store when the Xbox was first coming out.
The demo had four characters but only two were playable in the demo, a warrior-like guy and I can't remember much about the girl. The other companions were a tinker guy and a girl.
You played two characters at once and could swap between them as you willed and it had block moving puzzles and a dungeon boss and I faintly remember dragons.

Sorry for not having much to go on but this plagues my mind so much.

I remember a game from the 90's on the PC where you were a scientist competing with another evil scientist in a drag race, and before you would race, you'd go through a platforming section to collect car parts, while avoiding robots that move around the area. If I remember correctly, you would have to collect 3 or more parts; a Chassis, a set of wheels, and an engine. There was a cardboard box car, a square car, and an oval car if memory serves. I also remember that it was called something like "The incredible machine" or something along those lines, although it wasn't the physics puzzle game where you create the rube goldberg-esque machines. If anyone knows the game I'm talking about, it's been driving me crazy all day! I'd appreciate an answer.
Definitely Gizmos and Gadgets.
That's it! You win +10 obscurity points! I loved that game as a kid and it just randomly popped into my head out of nowhere like 10 years later.

I remember playing a game in the early 2000's on either a Win 95 or 98, it was a (VERY) gory sprite(?) like horror game that featured like zombies/mutations. I can remember you get dropped off in a whole town alone and you have to fight through it and fighting bosses in the end and one boss was huge and you were fighting him in the water and his "weak spot" was when he ripped open his rib cage and showed off the mutations inside his chest cavity. I've been looking for this game for years now and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Any help is really appreciated!

Was it like Diablo? Legacy Of Kain: Blood Omen 1? Or something totally different?

What was the setting, fantasy? Was there a character selection?

Anyone know the name of this RC racing game from the late 90's or early aughts?
It had 3d graphics, but was from a top down perspective where you could see the entire map. One map was like a creepy graveyard area, one was a generic suburban backyard.

Also, there's this game where you go around a museum collecting dinosaur bones, and when you found enough you could bring a dinosaur to life, and it would walk around the museum.

Well, since February I was waiting for an answer and still none. I will try to ask more precisely...

Platform: PC
Genre: Platformer, naval, action...
Year it was released: No more than a decade and maybe even a few more years, it could be a few years less than a decade, too... not so sure.
Perspective: Side view, 2D.
Protagonist: There was actually a selection between a gun boat, naval defense station thingy with guns on it, and if I'm correct there was one or two more vehicles.
Enemies: Bomber jets, fighter jets, not completely sure if there were naval enemies.
Setting: Modern, more or less.
Memorable Moments: I remember the first level was only an ocean at night (Not sure, most of the chances it was night.). The next level had an arctic background, icebergs, etc... it also had new enemies. Sadly, the second level stopped 5 seconds after it began to ask for a serial code since the game version was trial/demo. Also, I remember that the HUD had Roman numbers (I, II, III, IV, etc...) and I don't remember why they were there, perhaps weapon level or upgrades. I'm also almost sure that the enemy planes were green colored, most of them if not all of them.

I really liked the graphics of the game at that time, even though they are kinda old now, I considered them very good unlike other games at that time.

Note: It's NOT a flash game, it is downloadable.

That's pretty much it, I would be very thankful if someone could shoot out the title of the game.
Thanks in advance.
Bump.

I remember it was a gameplay trailer, or more it felt like a technological demo, showing off an engine without any HUD (ammo, health etc). I think I saw it between years 2006-2007. It was a First Person Shooter set in some sandy town which felt like Egypt, Turkey or Iraq, the place where it was happening looked like this - http://bit.ly/1btublC ... you know this kind of a building structure, I also remember that there was a little sandstorm going through that place, enemies were all over the place - on roofs, on balconies, in alleys, enemies were also wearing this on head - http://bit.ly/1d1D1xO ... person which you controlled could lean over objects, was holding and shooting from a weapon which looked like FN-FAL - http://bit.ly/1cvMngh or HK21 - http://bit.ly/1hL3YaZ ... at least I think, and in a background was playing some kind of an orchestral Arabian/Turkish felt-like music. I don't even know if that game was released or cancelled, or if it was just some kind of a technological demo, and I also don't know for what platforms it was made for. Can't remember more.
