I remember it was a gameplay trailer, or more it felt like a technological demo, showing off an engine without any HUD (ammo, health etc). I think I saw it between years 2006-2007. It was a First Person Shooter set in some sandy town which felt like Egypt, Turkey or Iraq, the place where it was happening looked like this - http://bit.ly/1btublC ... you know this kind of a building structure, I also remember that there was a little sandstorm going through that place, enemies were all over the place - on roofs, on balconies, in alleys, enemies were also wearing this on head - http://bit.ly/1d1D1xO ... person which you controlled could lean over objects, was holding and shooting from a weapon which looked like FN-FAL - http://bit.ly/1cvMngh or HK21 - http://bit.ly/1hL3YaZ ... at least I think, and in a background was playing some kind of an orchestral Arabian/Turkish felt-like music. I don't even know if that game was released or cancelled, or if it was just some kind of a technological demo, and I also don't know for what platforms it was made for. Can't remember more.
Did you searched the default FPS games of that time, like Call of Duty 4?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhuIjNSg7Gg
Yeah man, I've searched that so many times, typed so many things, have been searching for so long but the right game has never showed up. I was so desperate that I even created an account here just so someone can help me. Still no luck.

Hi! this awesome thread made me register. Ill help if I can with some games. Now, the question:
I cant find an old PC game, I think released about late nineties. You are a kind of a blue chip or token in a field with two goals, and you have to score but the levels are harder as you reach them including obstacles or bombs. I had a CD with some demos and this was one of them. Sorry if I have no more info, blame my childhood not me :p

I know its an impossible task but... this thread gives me hope :p

I don't have a clue what game mine is.

Its not too old, maybe from early 2000 or late 90-. It is an adventure game, 2d platformer. Plot is simple, guy loses his girlfriend because cliff where they were sitting on crumbles. Guy needs to collect souls(or something like them) to get his girlfriend back. I remember the guy being white, also the character seemed to be very small, as some plants filled the whole screen. Apologizies about my bad english, not a native speaker.

I have two games I'm trying to figure out. One was from the 90's and was for the NES. My dad rented it from a video rental store, so I didn't get to play it for long. In the game you could get different suits (similar to super mario 3) that made your character behave differently. The ones I remember for sure were 1) a bear suit. I recall the bear couldn't swim (which doesn't make sense, but w/e) and if you went in the water with it you died. 2) mole (or another earth dwelling critter) that could dig through terrain. I THINK there was something like a frog which liked the water. Sound familiar to anyone?

The second game was for MS DOS (also sometime in the 90s). I remember watching my dad play a lot of it... you commanded some sort of space ship and could invade planets or board and pillage ships. I can't remember if it was strictly select-an-option type play or not. Sorry I don't have much more to go on :p

The NES game sounds like Little Nemo: Dream Master. The game revolves around a young boy in his own surreal dreams as he journeys to Slumberland. Nemo can ride certain animals such as a frog, a gorilla, or a mole, by feeding them candy. Each animal has its own skills needed to complete each level. The purpose of the game is to travel to the Nightmare land to rescue Morpheus, the king of Slumberland, from the clutches of the evil Nightmare King.

Hey guys
I'm actually looking for more games. Shockwave on PC years ago like 7-10 years ago.
The company's name starts with an S I forgot the rest. It's like miniclip games.. I'll just describe one and see if anyone remembers those.

You are a woman on a ship that has been attacked by indians or w/e island inhabitants. The captain of the ship is dead the doctor has been poisoned by one of the arrows and a drunk guy is somewhere in the back of the ship. You start by getting a rope and a wooden board to use as a shield from arrows as you pass from the front of the ship to the other side of it. You will need to get something from the captain (can't remember what) you'll make an antidote with the bottle the drunk man has and something else you get from somewhere on the ship. The goal is to get you and the doctor out of the ship using a boat but the machine that lowers the boat in the water is broken so you also have to fix that...

And they had more games alike. All this kind of puzzle/escape games. Ones that test your brain so to speak.. And can't actually find any of them for years.

I remember the logo of the firm being a yellow S in a triangle colored dark but I could be wrong.

If anyone knows about them reply please.

I´m looking for one of my favorite games from my childhood.
Its a game that plays in space i think on a kind of space station, its 2D and a Sidescroller, you play an astronouth and to open some of the doors there you have to solve number puzzles.
I played it about 93 and it was on DOS
I think there was a kind of shield you could activate to prevent dmg, and on some part of the space station there was a kind of poison that dealt steady dmg to your hero.
I think there were some kind of weapons you could switch between with the number keys.
badly thats all i can remember, would be really cool if somebody knows the name of this game
What was very significant were theese number puzzles that you had to solve to open some doors, the looked like
------------------------------------
| 45 65 12 87 01 45 21 88 ?? |
------------------------------------
and you had to solve the last number, just an example for this
thats the part thats like imprinted in my brain Happy

Games that are NOT the ones I look for are:
Abuse; super solvers: outnumbered; math rescue; Captain Comic I & II Duke Nukem II; Electro Man; Gateworld; Phylox; Sinaria; Space Quest I; Space Chase; Out of This World; The dig; Wreckers; Starflight; Starquest 21st; Alien Carnage; Math Blaster; Rick Dangerous; Lezac; tryian; Abandoned; Defender; Kernel Exeption; Elite; Flashback; Frontier; Space Station Oblivion; Solar Winds the escape; Rama; Cyborg Hunter; Kult; Black Stone; Zack Mackracken; Turrican; Xain Sleena; Contra; Alien Breed; Supernova; Out there Somewhere; Commander Keen; Another World; Cannon Fodder; Crusader no Remorse: Astrocold; Cybermercs; s.c.a.t.; Space channel; Lightspeed; Dream Warrior;
Here is a Picture of what I remember the game looked like, please keep in mind that my memory of this is 20 years old and I was 6yo back then Wink

I'm in desperate need of you guys, but I am afraid this is going to be a tough one..
A few years back, say 8 years, I walked into a dumpstore in the Netherlands, this is where I live by the way, and I saw a God game in the 'very cheap games' section. I didn't buy it because we were in a hurry, but I've been regretting it ever since.
The problem is that I've never played the game, so I can't really give a detailed description of it. What I do know is that it wasn't all thát old, around late 90's beginning 00's I reckon. It was a god game for the PC in which you needed to obtain as many followers as you possibly could while killing the followers of rivalling gods. To kill them you could use natural disasters. I have looked for it for a long time now, so it won't be any really well known one, like B & W and Populous or even slightly lesser known games.
I would be forever grateful if someone could tell me which game it was.
Thanks in advance, and my apologies for any grammatical and spelling errors.

Ok guys, found your site and have been browsing but didn't find the name of an old pc game I am trying to find. It was older, almost seemed 16 bit in art style. You were in a red mech/robot suit going through some kind of castle or cave. You did have a gun you could aim, and could double jump with a jump jet kind of deal. You had a chain weapon you could swing around. Enemies were bats and such. I want to say that you had crash landed on the planet was part of the plot, and that the areas were massive as you were rather small on the screen. I can't remember if it was freeware or something of that sort. I hope you can help me out, thanks!

Trying to remember the name of a PC game from the late 90's to early 2000s. It was a 3d game with a first person view, or a 3rd person view from directly behind your character. It was a medieval/fantasy type setting and you could choose to play as a barbarian-type guy that used large two-handed weapons, a dwarf that had a shield and a one-handed axe or mace, a female elf I think that used long pole-type weapons, and possibly one other type. I don't recall any magic or spells in the game, but you did level up and gain more strength and hp, and could find better weapons. Basically all you could do was run, jump, dodge, attack, or block. It was kind of like playing oblivion but without any spells. You progressed fairly linearly through the stages....there was no overhead map or world to explore, but I think you could go back to earlier stages. I remember that frequently when you killed a monster or a monster killed you that their/your limbs would be sliced off. There were traps and pitfalls and that sort of thing. I don't think you had an inventory or could pick up and carry anything other than a new weapon but I do remember there being health potions....but you couldn't take them with you, so if you came across one and didn't need it at the time you would have to go back and find it once you did. The monsters you came across were the usual suspects such as orcs and skeletons and such and I think there was a boss at the end of every stage and each stage was quite long. It was a fairly difficult game and it was easy to die from traps or from the large chunks of damage the monsters would take out of you when they connected, so you had to really conserve your health and any potions you came across and really figure out the attack patterns of different enemies and how to dodge and block them and attack while taking as little damage as possible at all times.
Oh yes and also like oblivion you could control the type of attack you make whether it was a left-to-right slash, right-to-left slash, overhead smash, etc.

I seem to remember the final boss being a skinny, red-coloured, demony-looking guy that was really quick and I think he could even disappear and reappear somewhere else or teleport (which was not the sort of ability any of the monsters in the entire game possessed). I think he might have also had a vampiric weapon (would restore his hp when he damaged yours) but I could be wrong on that.

Hope this was descriptive enough as I know the type of game I am describing could be any number of games as the setting and gameplay seem rather generic but if you could help me out many thanks.

I don't remember much about this game. It was probably mid to late 80's and I'm not sure what system it was. You played as a flying dragon (but maybe a bird, or griffin??) and you collected eggs. You brought them back to your nest and I think they hatched after you were killed to let you keep playing. I remember it was very difficult to control the flying creature. Not joust or spyro.

Dear community,

I used to play this game on the Windows 95 platform; a kind of space based asteroid type game. I think it was around mid to late 90s and you would attach your ship to these large rocks/planets and try and kill off other ships without getting killed in the process.
In this game, there was a console to choose different ways in which you could kill the enemy and best of all, before you chose your weapon of choice, you could type a message in that would appear just before you launched your attack.
You were these little 3D ships and the aim was to kill of the rest using a variation of attacks, I think you had a number of points which limited you to the kind of attacks you could use and it ended up with massive craters in these large rocks by the end of the game.

Any idea what the name of this game might be?
Sounds like you are describing Warheads SE

https://www.google.ca/search?q=warheads+se&client=firefox-a&hs=dzh&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial&channel=np&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=CZLMUtTWBvS-sQT-p4LADA&ved=0CDUQsAQ&biw=1452&bih=926

It was like a re-imagined version of Scorched Earth but with several different "planets" instead of all being on the same landmass

Text-based game from mid to late 1980's that my late older brother played on a TRS 80 computer, but may have been cross platform:

- Completely text based
- Played on TRS 80 (but may have been cross platform)
- My brother used BBS's, Prodigy and Compuserve (may have been online, but don't know)
- Game involved (at least in part) exploring a wilderness as some sort of knight or king w/ an entourage
- Text based wilderness map (characters for forest, water, mountains etc.)
- Monochrome (even though he was playing on a color computer)
- Navigated using N S E W
- Involved medieval combat against AI armies when encountered on the map
- Believe combat system took into account unit types, numbers, experience, training, etc.
- No visibile combat was animated, just a combat report showing the results in text (like Evony)
- Don't believe this was soley a combat game, it felt like he was on a larger quest exploring the wilderness w/ other quest objectives and maybe some fantasy themes.

Thanks in advance for any of your ideas.
