Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone can help me to figure out what the name of a computer game is. The game is about a wizard kid that is able to fight monsters. He has a staff that he is able to upgrade and have it shoot out multiple orbs at faster speeds each time. Also, he is able to change the types of boots he is wearing to have them do specific things. In addition, when he decides to leave from a battle, he says "run awayyy." It is a very basic styled computer game. It is somewhat cartoony in graphics. If anyone could help me out, that would be great! Thanks!

Help!! I so BADLY want to know the name of the following game. I have been scouring the internet for weeks but people have just filled it up with so much junk that the best my searches provide are grand theft auto...this game is MUCH MUCH older...but legen- wait for it...dary!

I would say the game is mid 90s-ish...kids computer game

So this is a kids game and the premise is you race from stage to stage against the computer, and based on how much money you earn at each stage or how well you do, you get to choose the mode of transportation to take you to the next stage...some modes are faster than others...some of them that i can remember, are hang gliding, jet packs, and maybe a plane or a sports car. anyways, it was a great race and i remember it always coming down right to the end against the computer! Crazy fun!

PLEASE HELP!! :)

Hi,

Thank you in advance. I still need help identifying/locating the Mars colony simulation game described below:

Hi,

I hope someone knows that name of this game I played on Windows 98.

I think it was a 2D isometric Mars colony simulation game/Simcity on Mars between 1998 and 2002.

When the game starts, you are located on a colony ship above Mars and there is a menu prompting you to launch/eject the escape/colony pods. If you launch too soon, the pods will fire retroburners too soon and crash, and if you launch too late, the pods fire retroburners too late and crash or the ship in space explodes/runs out of oxygen.

The pods looked like this, but in top down isometric view: http://www.chthulhu.com/models/hab/100_0652a.jpg
If you were launched the pods at the right moment, all 4 pods survive landing, otherwise 1 or more would crash and leave a tile of rubble.

I think the in-game GUI and terrain looked similar to Life on Mars?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vajYpGgv3qM
However, the buildings were different.

To begin building, you would have to build a corridor from one of the pods. The corridors looked like this the + shaped buildings in Moonbase: http://www.emuparadise.me/GameBase%20Amiga/Screenshots/M/Moonbase_-_Lunar_Colony_Simulator_1.png
or the x shaped buildings in Outpost: http://s.uvlist.net/l/y2011/11/89809.jpg
The buildings must be constructed next to a corridor or another building similar to Moonbase and Outpost.

I think the greenhouse sprites looked like this: http://www.outofthecradle.net/WordPress/wp-content/uploads/pole_colony.jpg
or this: http://www.creativecrash.com/system/photos/000/095/261/95261/big/greenhouse3.jpg?1275254426

There were other buildings, but I can't remember what they looked like. All the buildings had the same sized footprint (occupied a tile) and all the tiles were the same size.

I think in the game, you could also build rovers that looked like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3a/Sojourner_on_Mars_PIA01122.jpg/220px-Sojourner_on_Mars_PIA01122.jpg
The rovers were built from the pods and you used them to explore the planet. I think there was a day/night cycle, so that the rovers could only move during the day.

The game might also have been single player turn-based.

I'm sorry I don't remember much more.
The first thing that comes to mind is Outpost.
Thanks, but it wasn't Outpost. The game didn't have the star system map or let you choose what to take on the ship and didn't have videos. The game starts when the colony ship is already in orbit around Mars and the player must decided when to launch the colony pods.

I'm figuratively dying to know the name of this game.
The closest thing i could find was Hungry Red Planet, but it's an old educational game and there's no videos, no screenshots, no nothing, so i can't really check anything...
Thanks, but it wasn't Hungry Red Planet. The game didn't have any aliens or other non-human creatures.

I can't find any way of searching this game correctly through search engines, so hopefully you guys can help me out!

It's a 3D pc game (I think 2006) where you walk through a cheerful, colorful village-town type setting, and your objective is to turn EVERYTHING into darkness or 'dead'. (I also think you were a clown-type goofy character)

In order to do this, everything you touch and walk next to dies; such as the grass, trees, the village residents turn into zombies as you walk near them, and buildings become haunted looking. There's no special keys, you just simply destroy the place by walking around.

So basically the whole game is you turning a cutesy town into a morbid, undead place..And you can't move onto the next level until you've completely ruined everything by touching it.

The strange thing is it kind of seemed like a kids game

Hopefully you guys can help me cos I'm having no luck finding this game.

It was an old point and click adventure game, for some reason I think it has the word "Island" in its title.

I cant remember a lot about it but you start on a dock and in a barrel nearby is a red herring

At some point in time you get a coconut, which you crack in half on a sharp rock, you fill the coconut with water and go see the sand king, you throw water on him and subsequently kill him allowing you to loot his bucket that has a hole in it and his flag, you later on put the flag onto a coffin and it opens up the next area.

It's not The secret of Monkey Island, or Mysterious Island but I'm sure the name is very similar.

Hopefully someone can shed some light onto what the game is because I never got around to finishing it and it's something I really want to do.

Thank you

Hello everyone!
I played this game on the NES when I was younger, but I do not remember its name.
Your character was a boy with a megaman like blue costume. He could shoot balls, albeit not as fast as megaman.
Whenever you took damage, your costume changed color. First, from blue to yellow, where you could shoot two balls, or a stronger ball, I dont remember, then, from yellow to red, where you could definitely shoot two balls, or more.
Basically you had three lives: blue, yellow and red. The last thing I remember is that a level, maybe two, have a circus thematic.
Please help me find it, for old time's sake.

Whit out the grass stuff i would say: Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stubbs_the_Zombie_in_Rebel_Without_a_Pulse

But thats not a kids game, it is even in the index of forbidden games in Germany.

PC game from early or mid 90's. I think I played it once as a demo at some computer store like Circuit City. The entire screen was pretty much static and it looked like it was a control room. There was a monitor where all the action played out. I only remember one scene it starts off with your partner showing up on the monitor and I think he talks to the camera and your only way to communicate with him is to blink the camera light. I remember that you could click on a journal and find clues on commands you can execute from the control room. If i'm not mistaken the commands where keyed in a number pad. Also if memory serves me right this was one of those games where each action scene is played as a movie cut scene much like the interactive movie games but with more options of interaction then just choosing an option and playing out the next scene.
Could be Critical Path.

No, I'm afraid "Totally Rad" is not the game I was looking for.
I remember the character having a head bigger than his body, and the projectiles are bigger than in "Totally Rad".
Basically, in the game I am looking for, whenever you are hit, your costume changes colors and you become stronger, the closer you are to dying. You die in three hits.

Signed up hoping to find this as it's my last hope :D This may be vague , but the game I'm looking for is a ps1 game , I'm fairly sure it was by a Japanese developer although I could be mistaken . The game was an arena game where multiple characters competed against each other . The particular level I'm thinking of was a desert level where there were tribal looking statues , huge rocky creatures and sand tornadoes that would catch you and send you flying up , characters made loud kaw noises whenever they got hurt haha. The game was quite challenging and between levels you were in a white room, I think when you won , you got crystals but I may be confusing it with another game. Art style was very polygony more so than regular ps1 games. A million thanks to whoever helps me find this.

I went through every single game on Wikipedia and I finally found it! The game is called Poy Poy! AKA Poitter's Point!
Hope this helps someone.

looking for this game i once played

played on PC

it was animated graphics
you played as female sort of treasure hunter who has 2 daggers or something similar to kill monsters

in one of treasure hunts you find crystal ball which is guarded by wolf looking character called Light, after you defeat The Light you touch the ball and you get some dark powers which show up on your skin as dark purple lines and eyes turn purple as well

there's also another wolf called Dark who protects that no one gets their hand on The Light crystal ball

later you get the Light powers which show as yellow lines on the skin

and basically you just slash through monsters to proceed, you can't proceed to next area before you have killed enough number of monsters that just keep spawning in the area

opening cinematic if i remember was some shadowy looking character going to some shop where some old guy is who after the visit gives you the treasure map leading to Light/Dark island. but might be wrong with this one

anyone knows what game it is?
X-Blades ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyMu97VCoWg )
omg yes
How could i forget such easy name

Thank you!

Hello. I'm looking for a name of a game and althought I remember it well, I have no idea what the title was. I played it on pc when I was a kid. I think it is really old, because it had very simple graphics. I think there were only black, white, red and blue color.

It is 2D and there are red and blue robot. Each start at their own end of the screen. They jump and run on platforms, that are also in different levels (4 or 5 levels) and there are ladders between them.

You start without any accessories. At the bottom is something like water and a goal is to push the other player in the water. When you run into each other, you interact and bounce. You can run, jump, kneel; so if you kneel and other player runs to you, he trips over you. From above are droping items, which you can use, like a gun, lightning strike, invisibility,...

You can play against computer, or against your friend on the same keyboard.

, I'm trying to remember the
name of a pc game ,, its a cinematic interactive movie
type game, it came out in the late 90's on CD. very
similar to Mad Dog McCree. and the Amverican
Laser game titles, but it wasn't put out by them. its a
first person shooter and I remember a lot of it taking
place in the buildings outside and inside factories andky
warehouses and on catwalks some of guys in full length
leather jackets, with guns you have to shoot em.
some reason I remember green and black being a lot
of the color of the case covers . a first
personshooter featuring live footage as your
targets. I think at some point the enemy's were in
helicopters this is around the warehouse
industrial area.. I'm fairly sure between 1995 and
2000., thanks

Hey ppl
I'm looking for a NES game, i don't remember much, only that it was some platform game. At start you pick one from about 6 possible maps, in the end you beat a boss there and get some power-up from him. When you're done with all the maps you go to the last map, where every monsters are mini versions of previous map bosses, and (if i remember well)there is no gravity on that level.
I think that your main weapon was a stick, but i'm not sure about that one.

Anybody knows what this game was called? I'm so eager to find it!

This was some sort of racing game with about 6-8 players. I remember being able to choose a paintjob for your car which consisted a black background and covered in white eyes (I used to call it the eye-car). There was this map where you could get on some sort of elevator as shortcut and the end of the course was a chickenbarn with a huge saw in it. No weapons were involved and I remember one of the racers was called 'Has-Been'. I think you also had a nitro boost but I'm not sure about that..
You could choose from 2 types of cars. 1 was a sort of broad and low one and the other.. yeah 'slimmer'..
Damage to the cars were pretty realistic too for its time.

The term you're looking for is "FMV Game" the FMV standing for "full motion video", was a big fad in the mid 90s on the PC and Sega CD. I'm not sure what game that is but it sounds at least a bit like "Crime Patrol".

PS- Also it sounds like what you're looking for is a "rail shooter" rather than an FPS.

The game I'm thinking of is an action RPG or an adventure game for PS2 that I played around 2003(?)
The perspective was third person and you were able to switch between three characters throughout (2 guys and 1 girl.) I think the game was Japanese and released in America.
The game wasn't very long but I remember the first level was played in a yellow field, and I also remember an ice level. The environments were very cool. During the game you could find elemental powered armor and weapons to help against enemies set in different levels that took place in a fantasy realm.
The one thing that stuck out to me was how soothing the background music was in each level.
If anyone could help I would appreciate it so much :)
