hello all, i remember playing a game on NES I believe, it was a top down rpg sort of like final fantasy, but one of the quests in it you had to save up and buy a bunch of swords( maybe it was sell them to him?) not sure sorry. been looking forever, trying as many games as I can but cant find it, any help would be great. I also just remembered that you played a different character each quest then they all came back together at the end. Thanks

P.S> after some thinking it might have been on one of those 52-1 type games

Hi,

Trying to find out a PS1 game. I'm like 99% sure it was a PS1 game. It was sort of anime-ish, with the characters and all being asian. It was sort of a hack and slash game with the camera angle being looking down from above etc. Can't really say mutch about it but maybe there were different characters and there were a few boss fights etc. Sorry don't remember much used to play it as a kid.

Hello,

I am currently looking for a few old games. It was in a bundle of games that either worked on Windows XP or Windows 98.

1) An old school racing game with pac-man like movement. There were other race car's trying to crash into you as you tried to get flags. In a pinch you could expend some of your fuel to make a gas cloud that the enemy cars could not get through. If you ran out of gas before getting all the flags then you lost.
2) An old school Top Down Turn Based Strategy game. You would move around 1 square at a time. Your character took up 1 square, as did your sword. On a turn you could either move up down left or right, or you could rotate your sword clockwise or counter-clockwise. Every turn every enemy on screen would follow set rules to try to get closer to your character. They were not very smart though. They would never move farther away, so if a wall was between the enemy and you they would just wait until you came around the corner. Eventually the enemies numbers grew to a point where a valid strategy was hide in a corner and alternate your rotations until all the enemies were in a line and you could move straight to kill a whole line. I vaguely recall the enemies looking like maggots.

If you know the name of the game pack the racing game was in it might help me track down the second game. Any help appreciated.

Hello,

I remeber game, where you were controlling hero, the camera's view was from up, it was game something like 1990-98 i think, we played it in windows not sure if DOS or some win95 etc version. You were controlling 1 hero witch can claim some stones on the floor, he had to stay on the stone rune, it was helping him to give him mana or money i dont know with he used to summon some mobs like wolfs, skeletons ,etc and more... the point was to kill other main heroes. it was good to protec the stones on the floor by having there some minions, the stones were some circle or something like that... i remember there was some missions, but they werent so good like the map all vs all

thanks for alll help

This late 80's early 90's DOS game was primarily about animals and I think had a series of mini games. I remember a ginger cat that meowed on the main page of the game. There was also a frog that you had to guide through a maze to get the fly. There was also a forest scene with various forest animals, but I can't remember what you had to do with the animals. It was a simple game targeted at young kids. Does anyone remember? It's driving me nuts!

I too have a game that I cannot remember the name of, I played it on my very old PC on a floppy disc. It was a platform fighting game and featured a girl with long purple hair, she fights a number of creatures such as skeletons before facing a boss, one is a blue werewolf, a purple werewolf and a Buddha like man who throws magic balls at you.

It is set in a number of locations but only 1 screen, no scrolling like in the boss battles of such favorites like adventure island, metroid etc.

I really want to play this game again, however I cannot remember the name and my floppy disc has since...well, been destroyed.

I could see the entire player while I was playing.(It was like GTA view If i remember right) All I know is that I am a man inside some army camp. I can sleep in a bunker with few other man. I remember that we had to stand in front of a fat general or leader and he was talking to us. At the night I was able to leave the bunker but there were guards with flashlights everywhere and would not let me walk freely around. I can't remember If my goal was to leave that place or..

Hi guys!

I'm searching for an old point and click adventure game that I played on my mom's old laptop (somewhere between 95-99). I only remember parts of it, but i hope some of you have played with it :)

- The game takes place in a futuristic world, and it's in a cartoonish stlye, like the scummvm games
- You play with a guy who wears glasses and i think wears a white suit (not sure)
- You start in a place that looks like a construction site, and from there you can go to a subway station (in the toilet you got beaten up by some big guys, the train can run over you)
- There is an old house after that, where you get into an old apartment, where you can gather some stuff. I think there was an old lady you could talk to.
- The only "cinematic" i remember: You get into a flying car with a busty girl (she drives) and a big white dog. She brings you to an entrance of a futuristic mall (or some building). The entrance got a security robot-eye, that you can disable some way, but i think i only did it once :D
- In the mall (or some building) there are bunch of people moving, and i think that's where i got stuck.

Any help would be great :)
Sorry to quote it again, but it's bugging me too much :) It was not a big classic game for sure, i checked a lot of abandonware sites (at least 10), but no luck. Beneath a Steel Sky and Space Quest are not this game, but this one is like the hybrid of these two. Maybe a hint: it was preinstalled on a german notebook that my mom bought (used) in Germany.

Hello everyone! Awesome thread by the way! I would like to know the name of a PS1 game I used to play long time ago. This game is an RPG game with little soldiers viewed from distance. The first level used to be with a white truck driving and when you click on that truck, it becomes a solder base. I would really appreciate it if someone remembers it. Thanks in advance!

Hey, that sounds an awful lot like Command and Conquer, but you described it as an RPG. C&C is the closest thing to the game you described that I know, sorry if its not the wrong game :L

So, I'm trying to remember this old game, it probably came out anywhere between 1995-2000. It was a top-down space shooter. It was exploration based, so you could fly in any direction. I remember you could upgrade your ship, possibly even get new ships as you went along. There were other alien races you could encounter and you could affect your relation status with them. If you made them angry they'd be more likely to attack you. Also, there was a police force that would attack you if you broke any laws. It was for the PC. I've been looking high and low to find this game but can't remember it's name. Thanks for the help!

Hello.
So, 8 years ago, more or less, I played a RTS game like Starcraft for example, that had a different drawing, almost like a cartoon, and I remember that we need to collect normal resources like wood, meat, iron to build the little buildings, and one particularity of this game, is that sometimes, a criminal comes to your little town to kill the workers, however you could send The Policeman to arrest the robber bring him to jail and then transform him into a worker to help your town.
I got this game from a demo CD from the PC Gamer magazine I think.
I really realy want to play the full game, if we find it, because it brings a lot of good memories to me.
I hope you can help me guys.
Bye

PS: Sorry for my bad english, I'm not American.

Can someone tellthe name of this game? I think it's a ps2 or n64 game, it is a 3d game, 3rd person view, you start playing with a boy or a girl and then you fight with some skeletons and then appears a big akeleton and you kill him dropping him into a big abyss. All i remember is this, this guy also remember this about this game: ''I remember playing an old PS or PS2 game where you could either play as a girl or boy, and in the beggining you got like a pan to use as a weapon or helmet or something and it was an RPG game, I really wanna know the name of this game!!!''. I think it's castlevania n64, but i thought you could chose between a girl or a boy, here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qny8XKXGBQ. please tell me, my email is [email protected] and my facebook is diego santiago marinho.

It was this platformer which featured a hatchling that was still stuck in its egg, with only its feet sticking out. The story is that it got kidnapped and has to get home. The first stage took place a landfill and the hazards included ants and pits of acid. If you lost, the game over screen shows the grave of the hatchling. I think it was a PC only game.
