There is a game I remember from when I was like five or six so, that makes it around 2000 or 1999. The game could have came out before that but, I just remember playing it on an old PC or Mac when I was that young. Anyways the game involves a boy solving mazes or puzzles trying to save his dog. The dog might have been kidnapped or maybe abducted by aliens and that's why your trying to save him. There were movable obstacles, but if they happened to hit the dog and it died your character would also die. The only other thing I remember about it was that it had a level/maze that involved moving a ton of balls that were either blue or purple.

Another searcher..... (as in I am one)

I am looking for the name of the game too. I remember it was a robot who kidnapped the dog.
the name of that game is rescue rover! gosh i hope you see this because it was driving me mad that i couldnt remember the game's name so i did a huge search about it and thanks to the fact that you said it was a robot i found the wikipedia article about it.

Hello guys. Hoping you can help me. Been looking on-&-off for about a year...

Unfortunately, I remember very little about the gameplay. I think it may have been an early space-based top-down RTS, but, like I said, I have very little memory of the game play. One detail sticks out: pit-mining. Resources were gathered in the game by pit-mining (Earth? The Moon? Alien planets or asteroids? I have absolutely no idea... the surface was quite grey though). But you had to survey the surface, which cost some resources, and then, if you liked the results of the survey, you would place a mine, which carved out the landscape in a great circular pit mine.

I _think_ resources were used to build ships, but I'm fuzzy on that, and I really can't recall what else you might have spent the resources on, or even what you did with the ships (assuming I've even got that part right...).

One detail I'm absolutely firm on: the soundtrack featured Holst's "Mars" _very_ prominently.

It was a PC game, and from the mid-90's; definitely no earlier than '92, and likely no later than '97.

Thanks in advance guys!

I'm looking for a game,Not really an old one,But still looking for it right now! You are a ragdoll stickman in a bubble (game is 2D but changes camera angle sometimes) and you dont seem to be affected by gravity that much. You control him with Arrow keys,And you fight through enemies,As they get tougher and Tougher. The game also featured KevinMacleod's music in it. Anyone remembers this game?

Hey, so I am wondering if anyone can help me, I used to play a game on the pc, Not sure which gaming site it was from. It was an rpg, you play as a man in a town, I seem to remember you collected parts of photos to make a full picture of a naked girl. Also you could play in an arcade to earn money, I seem to remember you could also go fishing and sell your produce. I also remember something about a missing girl. There were a few of these games I think they made 3. I just can't remember the name! Any info would be gladly appreciated! Thanks

There are several PC games I have forgotten the name of.

The first one you played as a young boy who crash landed by either boat or airplane (I think it was boat) on an island with your companion (who may not have been human?) so you have to go around the island finding your parts and giving items to people. Like if someone wants something, you have to get it from someone else and so on. There was a chief on the island. The game was 2D and you clicked your way through.

Another game I can't remember is where you played as a monkey and had a bunch of mini games and earned bananas. There was bowling, mahjong, swinging from vines while avoiding spiders (this was my favorite. eventually you went from the forest to some caves)and you could buy different houses with bananas. Then you could buy stuff for your houses too.

Another was where you explored the world during the civil war and found objects and brought them too people and then at the end you wrote newspaper articles with stuff you found out and pictures you took. It was a learning game I think.

Hello to all!

I need a name of a game which I played with my friend and also with the bots in I think 2004 (something like that) on one old PC.
The game was very similar to FAR CRY 1 (maybe it is but I can't find that map) so it means the game/map has TWO islands, and you are spawning in base where you have a HELICHOPTHER and some guns to pick, its very small island, and also you have a little boat to go to another island.
On that another island, (I think it was with bots) bots have their mission to defend their base...Map/game have always been sunny and you have a big distance to sail (I mean from your spawn position to another base)...The other island had too much grass and trees, so it wasn't like the beautifull island with nice beach, without the wood...So it means the map was almost only blue (becouse of sea) and green (of islands), and yea like I said, it was like FarCry 1, action, very realistic and enjoyable to play...

Once more, maybe it is really FarCry 1 with some custom map (but I don't think so, becouse we couldn't in that age (like 8) download that shit lol)...

Anyway, thanks and cheers!

Hey everyone!!! Looking for a SUPER old computer game of sorts, that I played on my mom's old Windows 95 if I remember correctly. I can't remember if it was an online thing, or a disc game, or how it was set up, but you had like a pet alien or creature. There were different kinds and different colors and I remember I used to click and hold on the tail of one and moving the mouse around, could fling it across the computer screen and mess with it. Not sure, but I think it was an on screen type of interactive play where regardless of what I was on there doing, they either hung out on the desktop and like walked around and things, or may have even done so on top of everything else I may have been doing like surfing the web. These little guys were the cutest things ever, and I've been trying to figure out what this was for over a decade!!! Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
The game you're looking for is Creatures. I love that game, it's my #1 favorite of all time. They are finally making a new version, but it will be a freemium game... :\

You'll want to get "Creatures - Abian Years" for Creatures 1 (that way it has the updates, and if you google that you'll find it; also check Creatures Labs for updates) Creatures 2 if you remember a giant volcano in the "lower right" area. Docking Station for the small space ship free version, or Creatures 3 for the one with a big space ship and different rooms for each ship pod/ecosystem :)

For add-ons made by users, search for "Cobs" and "Worlds" for Creatures 1 and 2, and for Docking Station and Creatures 3 search for "agents" and "rooms" :)

Now for my game! I searched all the terms I could think of with site:escapistmagazine.com and quotes on any terms I could find, and I read 100 pages of this topic with no luck. I've put in 20 hours the past three weeks looking for it... so please know that I did try my best before posting here and as such I am __super grateful__ for any help.

It was first person on a computer, a semi-educational game in the mid 90's. You were on an island (or was it a jungle?) and there was a bunch of science involved, for example there is a science experiment with droppers where you determine the bloodtypes of a few slides.
Movement outside these educational "minigames" (which I think you found by clicking on items displayed in the current screen,) was done frame by frame by clicking ahead on a path or at the bottom, which a new image overlay would show the zone you're "walking" in then. I m fairly certain you were the only human on the island.

There was a nest in a rock cliffside by one of the main paths, and when you traveled on the path from the right direction a yellow-crowned penguin would hop down from the nest and look at you before waddling off.

Graphics were still images for most things (especially during movement outside of the "minigames",) but some things were animated simply such as the penguin and those droppers for the blood.

...I think I remember an easter island statue head, but I am not sure about that detail. And a rickety plank rope bridge. hrm...

The blood type thing had the slide in the center with two droppers and two spots of blood (maybe four? doubt it though.) The droppers would drip a chemical from their vial from the closest spot of blood on the slide and depending on how the blood reacted with each chemical you tried to guess the blood type. I think there was a note book explaining basics about blood and the like for educational purposes. It wasn't very useful from what I remember...

This blood type thing is what I remember most clearly because I felt so clever after figuring it out.

Anyways, thank you so much! :) My first post here yes but I will try to continue to help others remember their games!

Ok So I am hoping someone can figure this one out for me. I have been looking for this game for ever and cannot remember the name for the life of me. It was a very old game probably from the early 90's on PC. It wasn't on a CD as I remember it had like 5 hard disks for it. it was a top down view game and very poor graphics. You started the game as playing a guy in some academy where you are learning to pilot these Mechs. Then at some point the academy is attacked by someone and you jump into a Mech and run off in it and try to get back at the attackers. I do remember their being a red mech and I believe when you were playing as the guy I think he was also red. I hope this will jog someones memory about it and know what it is. Thanks

With all the blue it probably was "FarCry 1".

The only other similar game from that time I can think of, is "Delta Force: Joint Operations".
But the color palette was more brown/greenish and generally darker.

No problem, glad to help.

Well, "Joint Operations" is from 2004.

You can still get it on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/32770/), quite pricey though.

Hello, I search for the name of the platform game. You played man with black helmet with green visor, there was a plenty of weapons like classic pistol, shotgun rocketlauncher and stuff like lightsaber shield with granades. Every single weapon were binded on single button. I played the game in 2000 propably :D i think it was name like Bulletman or Gunmann but Iam not shure, thanks for help and sorry for my English :D
