Can't remember the name but it came out in the 2000's I believe.
It was a mystery solving game. You were a sister and brother team
(I think they were brunettes or redheads, can't remember exactly)
Their grandmother/aunt/relative lived or owned a mansion and had weird guest living in the place.
You solve puzzles, riddles, math problems, memory games.
I can remember only one and it was where they you had to cook quiche.

I'm trying to remember a PC game I played in the 90s. It's got the cartoony early 3D graphics style. The main character is a guy with an oval shaped head whose almost bald except for a small ponytail. He wears a blue robe. It's set in a desert locale. That's all I remember, and it's bugging me.
Sounds like Little Big Adventure 2 - Twinsen's Odyssey.

Hi, i wish you could help me. He I want I played it about 15 years ago, I was just a kid. In it, you were a man that started in a chaos city with an alien invasion I guess. The thing is, you must to shoot them, and in the very beginning you got two enemies: some kind of worm that jump and attack you, and the others that punch you. One of them was green and the oder violet, I think. You started near a crashed plane and got to crouch to kill the little aliens. then you got to get up a ladder and go inside the building through the broken windows. You have to save people that were trapped in some kind of jail with a electric device that controlled the bars door. It was a 2D game, and better graphics than Mario I believe. Please help me with this! I played it when quake was hot too, I think. And duke nuken (nukum?)

Hi guys, trying to remember a game i played back in the 90's. It was on the PC and I think it was a Windows 95/98 game. It was shovelware, and I remember the CD cover and the back to be yellow. The game features two brothers, one dressed in blue and the other in red. You controlled the blue one while the computer controls the red one. It's a puzzle game, with all sort of challenges, I remember there being a game similar battleship, and peg solitaire being one. The point of the game is to collect clues of the princess' location throughout various points on the map. You moved throughout the map through dice rolls. I think the blue brother's name stated with a H and the other brother started with a P (I keep thinking its Hogi and Pogi). If anyone knows the name of this game, I would greatly appreciate it!

I remember playing this game on the PS1/PS2 I think, It's a futuristic racing game with 5-6 characters. I can describe each of them. There's a guy/girl in red who drives a red car with 2 wheels on the front and 1 at the rear, a yellow robot that drives a yellowish car, with 1 wheel at the front, 1 at the back and two at the side, a guy in green that drives a green 2 wheeled car, a girl in purple that drives a purple car with 1 wheel at the front and 2 at the back and 1 more young driver in blue that drives a normal blue car. These aren't cars exactly, more like futuristic vehicles. They all have 1 unique weapon; the robot has a machine gun, the green guy has lock on missiles, the red guy has missiles, the purple girl has blades that come out of the back wheels, and the young kid gets this shield like thing which knocks up other racers if you hit collide into them with it. The common weapons include a big missile that goes out to strike the person in first position, a shield, speed boost and more that I don't remember exactly. This is a single player game, and I loved playing it as a child. I'm devastated that the name of the game slipped my mind(it's been more than 10 years since I've been playing that game D: ). I hope someone out there would be able to help me find it! :)
EDIT: I also remember, if you are at high speeds and there is a ceiling above you, you can drive upside down.
I FOUND THE GAME!! It's called Firebugs. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=348433 - The site I found it on. It shows futuristic racing games for all kinds of platforms!

Hey people,
I played a game years ago, Im talking a good 10 years ago ish, and the game may have been old then, at a guess its from the 90's or possibly early 2000's. It's 2D Isometric if I remember correctly.I never did finish it as it bugged out, and I couldn't get the guy who I had gone to meet to activate the next part of the quest, I think he was Dionysus, or he was sending me to see Dionysus, one of the two.

I have looked for it several times and often think I have found it when I read the description of other games, only to see scree nshots and realise its not the correct game. So here is what little I remember in points.

1. Made in the 90's - early 2000's.

2. 2D, Sprite graphics, Isometric.(IIRC)

3. I think you speak to a wizard at the beginning, or very close to it, then you start out on your journey with the person you were living with IIRC, your uncle or father I think, and you wander through woods and other areas fighting things on the way, (you have mana and a sword. ) and meeting people and asking them questions for clues as to where to go next.
It seems to be set in ancient greco roman times, and several of the people you meet are from that mythos, there are Fauns /Satyrs in it, that have this awkwards looking animation where they kinda jump and knee you and make almost a skeep/goat noise as they attack, and I think maybe there was one of them who was either nice/on yourside or gave quest, the rest pretty much tried to kill you lol The last thing I remember about it is progressing through various areas and to some ancient ruins to meet various Gods and important people from teh mythos, and they keep sending you on the next and eventually comming to this village/town/city where there is a man who is either Dionysus or he is meant to send you to him, and there is someone else in the place too but other side.. but I never could beat this part as it bugged on me.There was fauns/Satyrs in this place too and would always attack you..it was highly annoying.

If anyone reconises this from my very vague destricption I would be forever grateful, I really want to go back and beat it if possible lol.

I just cannot for the life of me remember what its called, and my vfarious searches for it on google have often given me game titles that when I check their synopsis sound exactly right, but then they are always in 3D, or too new.

p.S - I played this on a laptop with Windows 95 , circa 2004-2005 (IIRC) amd as I said it may well have not been a new game then, as the game that came with the laptop had been my sisters.

Many Thanks in advance.

I've had to sign up to ask this; it's driving me mad.

Two games I'm dying to find the names of.

1st one is a megadrive game, in which you control either a helicopter or a futuristic tank looking thing. It's a topdown shooter in a similar vein to Mercs. I seem to remember you could pick up a bubble shield that had 3 or 4 rotating bubbles around you. That's all I remember about it really.

2nd one is a pc game, a third person tank shooter. Silly cartoon graphics from what I remember, where you would play in different ears. So a stoneage tank that shot boulders, progressing up to modern day. You could shoot the sheep and they'd explode in cotton wool or something like that. I thought it was called Tiny Tank, but a search turned up nothing for me.

Hope someone knows these games!

Can anyone recommend another site for my search? Because as far as i can see if your question isn't answered on that page it's most likely never to be answered again on this site... Other questions will be piled on..

Just keep repeating it then. The topic is for asking about games, rather than discussing them. I don't think anyone would object to you asking again if your question has been buried 1 or 2 pages back.

As for other sites - I can't think of any site better than this. For figuring out games, I personally rely on specific google searches and my own scarily good memory for game details. So what I usually do is just google whatever is described and then manually checking what is caught by those searches for the defining elements.

As for things being buried before they can be answered... Well, we're only human. At least, I'm fairly certain that we are all human. Not 100% about Diablo Rules (He's inhumanly good at figuring out games). Some times we can't figure it out or just can't keep up with questions.

But yeah, just ask again. And the more details you can think of by ransacking your memory, the better for helping us help you to find that game.

I'm wondering if u guys can help me find 2 games i played back in the day and now i cannot seem to find...

First it's a strategy game where u build these multi-level cylindrical buildings as part of an off-world colony on some planet and that's about all i can remember....

Second it's a game somewhat similar with X-COM series but u only had one guy to run around with and u had the choice to cyber-upgrade yourself all the way up to the brain (that would give u a bad end tho).

Thanks.
Please specify what years "back in the day" were.

And what system you played it on.

Any sort of description of graphics is also incredibly useful.

Well i really didn't mean to be rude as i apreciate the fact that ppl are trying to figure out other ppl's "memories" with not so much as a thanks sometimes as most ppl just come here to ask one question and the never login again (i'am assuming).. It is however frustrating to see your question getting buried little by little every day especially since u've been trying to find this game for years (not obsessively..just..u know, occasionally)..
I had no idea u could keep post-repeating and thanks for letting me know..

As for the games...
It was a pretty long time ago so i can't really remember since i'am more or less a gamer and played hundreds of game since then... Ten years ago?? I really don't know the year...if i did i'd probably google every game in it's type on that year...
Pc.... I only ever played on joystick back when nintendo was "the shit" and pc's looked like refrigerators..
Sorry....no chance i remember the graphics..

A game that seems to fit the second:

Space Siege - It has a isometric perspective, strategy like controls and cyborg augmentations which effect it's ending. It's as recent as 2008 though.

There's also Restricted Area from 2005 (I think):

Maybe you can find it in <link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Mythology-based_video_games>Mythology-based video games?

Ok So I am hoping someone can figure this one out for me. I have been looking for this game for ever and cannot remember the name for the life of me. It was a very old game probably from the early 90's on PC. It wasn't on a CD as I remember it had like 5 hard disks for it. it was a top down view game and very poor graphics. You started the game as playing a guy in some academy where you are learning to pilot these Mechs. Then at some point the academy is attacked by someone and you jump into a Mech and run off in it and try to get back at the attackers. I do remember their being a red mech and I believe when you were playing as the guy I think he was also red. I hope this will jog someones memory about it and know what it is. Thanks

Hey does anyone know this one game. The game is cartoon looking. There are a few different types of robots, there is one pink girl one and a blue one and a few other, and you chooses one and then you choose what course you want. Once you do that the game starts. There are 4 other robots on the screen and you have to try to defeat them. Its like a little course and there are little bubble thing that pop up every now and then and you collect them. The bubbles have different things like a bomb, or a rocket gun, and other things. I can't figure out this game. I played somewhere from 1-3 years ago. Help me find the name of this game.

I searched all the terms I could think of with site:escapistmagazine.com and quotes on any terms I could find, and I read 100 pages of this topic with no luck. I've put in 20 hours the past three weeks looking for it... so please know that I did try my best before posting here and as such I am __super grateful__ for any help.

It was first person on a computer, a semi-educational game in the mid 90's. You were on an island (or was it a jungle?) and there was a bunch of science involved, for example there is a science experiment with droppers where you determine the bloodtypes of a few slides.
Movement outside these educational "minigames" (which I think you found by clicking on items displayed in the current screen,) was done frame by frame by clicking ahead on a path or at the bottom, which a new image overlay would show the zone you're "walking" in then. I m fairly certain you were the only human on the island.

There was a nest in a rock cliff-side by one of the main paths, and when you traveled on the path from the right direction a yellow-crowned penguin would hop down from the nest and look at you before waddling off.

Graphics were still images for most things (especially during movement outside of the "minigames", where you'd travel between "screen" by clicking on the path) but some things were animated simply such as the penguin and those droppers for the blood.

...I think I remember an easter island statue head, but I am not sure about that detail. And a rickety plank rope bridge. hrm... I think there was also a toucan at one point, just flying by.

The blood type thing had the slide in the center with two droppers and two spots of blood (maybe four? doubt it though.) The droppers would drip a chemical from their vial from the closest spot of blood on the slide and depending on how the blood reacted with each chemical you tried to guess the blood type. I think there was a note book explaining basics about blood and the like for educational purposes. It wasn't very useful from what I remember...

This blood type thing is what I remember most clearly because I felt so clever after figuring it out as a kid. I want to go back and beat the game :)

As far as the strategy game goes, if it was only ten or so years ago, the only game I can think of that matches that description is called Earth 2160. There were also many prequels to the game. Hope that helps.
