Ok the game I'm looking for is a PC game that I remember being told is similar to StarCraft. In it you can choose from 3 different groups one of which I believe was elves, but you could summon and control magical beings as units, another group was humans in which one could make and control robots as units, and I believe the 3rd group was aliens or something like that. I know there was a campaign mode in which the first couple chapters of the story you had to play the human group. It's been at least 5-6 years since I've played it and it was kinda old then. I know you had to get resources for buildings and units.

It might be one of the old warcraft games. They were also made by blizzard and were very similar.

Sup, i wonder if you guys can help me find this really old game that i played when i was a child. You were some sort of black haired soldier or cop on a blue armor with a energy sword (lightsaber like), it was a futuristic game, on the first level you started on a ship and then you dropped down on a chaotic city in destruction full of robots to destroy. It was a 2d sidescrolling game, i played when i was a child on a old windows 95 (or 98) computer. And only played the demo of it. I dont remember the name...

I remember playing Math to the Real World around the same time as this game, as well as Roller Coaster Tycoon.. but I also remember thinking that I preferred Sim Theme Park to Roller Coaster Tycoon so it is possible my school just had old games in stock... still, it must be from 1997-2002. Hrm...

I've been spending so much of my time trying to remember this game that it's starting to become an obsession o_o No listing of educational games has it, at least, with what search terms I can think of.

Do you remember if it was cartoony like Monkey Island or more realistic like The Riddle of Master Lu?

Also was it an adventure game or just mini games?

Also was it on mac or pc?

Please take a look and help me to remember:

it was a PC game run and played by CD or harddisk, in the years 96´s-98´s (not exactally the year launched). Although not a fully open-world adventure, was played in third-person. The character went a journey through time, from the pre historic era using stones and bats to defeat enemies / animals, through medieval Japanese with swords, arriving in a phase at the game whose futuristic scenario was played in space. It was a very cool game when I was young, but I can´t remember the name...

PC for sure! It was more realistic.

It was a whole game with its own CD, stacked in its box in the class room with the other "educational" games (granted... they had Roller Coaster Tycoon right next to it. ha :))

I wish I could remember more about it! I've been searching in all the ways I can think of with no luck.

I remember that the main character was a redheaded male who in the beginning had this badass creature companion, however a bit later into the game it got broken and he had to retrieve all of the pieces. I also remember that certain pieces (monsters) were better against mechanical or organic enemies. And it was for the Playstation 2

One last try:

Hello guys. Hoping you can help me. Been looking on-&-off for about a year...

Unfortunately, I remember very little about the gameplay. I think it may have been an early space-based top-down RTS, but, like I said, I have very little memory of the game play. One detail sticks out: pit-mining. Resources were gathered in the game by pit-mining (Earth? The Moon? Alien planets or asteroids? I have absolutely no idea... the surface was quite grey though). But you had to survey the surface, which cost some resources, and then, if you liked the results of the survey, you would place a mine, which carved out the landscape in a great circular pit mine.

I _think_ resources were used to build ships, but I'm fuzzy on that, and I really can't recall what else you might have spent the resources on, or even what you did with the ships (assuming I've even got that part right...).

One detail I'm absolutely firm on: the soundtrack featured Holst's "Mars" _very_ prominently.

It was a PC game, and from the mid-90's; definitely no earlier than '92, and likely no later than '97.

Thanks in advance guys!

Were all of the puzzles science related and focused on education? If not maybe it was a regular adventure game released around that time.
Could it have been one of the Myst games? They have all sorts of puzzles and I could see a school having one of them.

Hello
I'm wondering if u guys can help me find 2 games i played back in the day and now i cannot seem to find...

First it's a strategy game where u build these multi-level cylindrical buildings as part of an off-world colony on some planet and that's about all i can remember....

Second it's a game somewhat similar with X-COM series but u only had one guy to run around with and u had the choice to cyber-upgrade yourself all the way up to the brain (that would give u a bad end tho).

Thanks.
As far as the strategy game goes, if it was only ten or so years ago, the only game I can think of that matches that description is called Earth 2160. There were also many prequels to the game. Hope that helps.

Yeey it really was Earth 2160... Man i've been looking for this for a while now.... Thank man....

Maybe Star Legions - 1992. Mars is the opening theme song. I've never played it but it looks like ships scan the surface of the planets before doing anything.

Description:
1) In an office setting
2) Man in yellow (if i rmb correctly) hair has to use the lift to either avoid the other characters or try to bomb them (I can't really rmb)
3) Progressive stage

Thanks in advance guys!

And this is precisely why people shouldn't be afraid of asking again.

I'm very happy that you found the games you were looking for.

On this vein, he should look into the Star Fleet games too.

Hey people,
I played a game years ago, Im talking a good 10 years ago ish, and the game may have been old then, at a guess its from the 90's or possibly early 2000's. It's 2D Isometric if I remember correctly.I never did finish it as it bugged out, and I couldn't get the guy who I had gone to meet to activate the next part of the quest, I think he was Dionysus, or he was sending me to see Dionysus, one of the two.

I have looked for it several times and often think I have found it when I read the description of other games, only to see scree nshots and realise its not the correct game. So here is what little I remember in points.

1. Made in the 90's - early 2000's.

2. 2D, Sprite graphics, Isometric.(IIRC)

3. I think you speak to a wizard at the beginning, or very close to it, then you start out on your journey with the person you were living with IIRC, your uncle or father I think, and you wander through woods and other areas fighting things on the way, (you have mana and a sword. ) and meeting people and asking them questions for clues as to where to go next.
It seems to be set in ancient greco roman times, and several of the people you meet are from that mythos, there are Fauns /Satyrs in it, that have this awkwards looking animation where they kinda jump and knee you and make almost a skeep/goat noise as they attack, and I think maybe there was one of them who was either nice/on yourside or gave quest, the rest pretty much tried to kill you lol The last thing I remember about it is progressing through various areas and to some ancient ruins to meet various Gods and important people from teh mythos, and they keep sending you on the next and eventually comming to this village/town/city where there is a man who is either Dionysus or he is meant to send you to him, and there is someone else in the place too but other side.. but I never could beat this part as it bugged on me.There was fauns/Satyrs in this place too and would always attack you..it was highly annoying.

If anyone reconises this from my very vague destricption I would be forever grateful, I really want to go back and beat it if possible lol.

I just cannot for the life of me remember what its called, and my vfarious searches for it on google have often given me game titles that when I check their synopsis sound exactly right, but then they are always in 3D, or too new.

p.S - I played this on a laptop with Windows 95 , circa 2004-2005 (IIRC) amd as I said it may well have not been a new game then, as the game that came with the laptop had been my sisters.

Many Thanks in advance.
Titan Quest? Maybe?

TV Tropes even support the friendly satyr you remember.
"All the monsters and enemies in the game, only excepting a single centaur hero and a satyr merchant found in Greece, who are friendly."
