Script? What's this, that is outside the explosions Budget. I'd say the story snippets in the trailer are the best we'll get. It's all going to be a giant battle with New York getting blown up again.

see here's the thing, most of the people who like these movies they don't see robots beating the shit out of one another often. I do, I see it every day whenever I want, I have catalogues of this shit.

Why would I watch this movie when I can watch Gaogaigar or Getter Robo or Mazinger Z or Big O or Overman King Gainer or Gundam -insert universe here- or Mars Daybreak or Gurren Lagann or Daiguard or Macross or Zoids etc. etc. etc.

The tranformers films aren't just bad movies, their BORING. The action is terrible, the designs are ugly (and I have seen ugly designs for robots thank you) and none of the cast, human or robot, is likable.

Why in the hell would I watch this garbage when I can see this?

much as i despised the first two films, i'll be the first to admit, as far as shaky cams go, bay seems to have learned his lesson judging by the trailer.
That was my thought: Thank GOD the camera is holding still. With the camera holding still, at least I can see what's happening.

Kinda.

When the movie was announced, I was like, "Another one? Really?!"

When the plot was revealed, I was like, "A secret mission on the moon that's been kept secret for 40 years? Well, that's kinda interesting, although it does make one wonder why NASA or the US Government failed to mention that they found technology on the moon that resembles the stuff that's killing hundreds of people across the world!"

And when I saw this trailer, I was like, "Well, the vaguely interesting plot seems to have been sidelined. Why will you do time for treason if word gets out? I'm pretty sure everyone in the world knows these robots exist, why don't you just tell them that there's a bit of their technology on the moon? Wait, if the US Government knows it's up there, and the Autobots are working for the Governement "in secret", why not tell them it's there? Surely telling them might have helped them repel the Desepticon threat. How do we know stuff about their home planet? Did we find it on the ship? Because I pretty sure all writing you find on that ship would have been in Cybertronian, or...whatever language the transformers speak in. Guessing it can't be easy to translate. And why did you reveal everything you know about their home world? Again, why not just say, 'There's some of their junk on the moon'? 'Years from now, they're gunna ask, where were you when they took over the planet?' Hasn't it been previously established that the Desepticons all humans eradicated? Who's gunna be left to ask that question, let alone answer it? Wait, are you seriously sending in para-troopers to kill the transformers? Are you actually f***ing serious?! 'You may lose your faith in us, but never in yourselves. From here, the fight will be your own.' Who is losing faith in the Autobots and why? They have continually defended this entire planet from robots that are equally, if not, more powerful than they are. And they have, thus far, succeeded! Why are you losing faith now? Is it because of this invasion of transformers from the moon? Yeah, I can safely say that was our fault, and you know why? WE DIDN'T F***ING TELL THEM ANYTHING WAS THERE!!!!!!! Oh yeah, and thanks for leaving us, Optimus. I'm sure we can easily take down this treat with our f***ing squirrel troops!"

Yeah, I know it's just the trailer, and some of the stuff might make sense in the context of the movie, but I've never had so many problems with a trailer before. And despite all of this, I have to see how this movie fits together, becuase, currently, it looks like a bigger mess than Revenge of the Fallen

How dare you have a well worded opinion that you like something many people do not. You sir sicken me!

I also sicken me for I to would like to see this idk about story line I just like epic music with big shiny things clashing with lots of exposition and stuff.

Not ever Movie need to be as mind blowing, deep, as well executed as the first matrix was.

Well, my only gripe in the second film was that the "comic relief" was a little unbalanced and made everything seem too silly (which would have been rectified by simply removing the entire college sequence and Sam's roommate). The new one seems to be taking a more serious tone (based on this trailer at least) and I hope that holds true with the full feature.

Megan Fox's replacement looks like a puffed up barbie doll - I mean sheesh,I could have done without so much close ups with her - or any at all.

Well, I doubt this film can stop me from thinking what I normally thing about the Transformer franchise.

And was I the only person who watched this and thought of Micheal Bay in Imaginationland?

I'm not gonna lie. I'm still going to watch this. It may end up offending me more than the 2nd film. Or, for all we know, it will end up being an enjoyable sci-fi/action movie. I also hold no expectation for LaBeouf's newest RealDoll. Seriously, her lips look more fish-like than Megan Fox's.

I can litteraly see no difference from the action scenes in this movie, and the ones from the earlier ones.

You mean Rosie Huntington-Whiteley? She's a lingerie model whose only appearance is "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show". Not sure if it counts as irony.

Well, it LOOKS better than the others, and it would seem as if the writers, and makers have realized their mistakes. The ADD jumpy camera seems mostly eradicated. But was I the only one watching all the scenes of robot ass-kickery and city destructification... then saw Shia Labouef waving around a puny little glock 9mm and felt absolutely underwhelmed?

This was like watching the Sonic Generations trailer. It looks good, but considering all the shit that came before I'm not interested.

Also, could that trailer music get any more obnoxious?

I agree. I didn't watch the Transformers as a kid (instead I watched the Gummibears), and even if I think the two first Transformers movies weren't awesome or well-acted or something like that, they were not terrible, they contained perfectly adequate mindnumbing action, and at least they were not as bad as, say, Moonraker (DON'T watch that MOVIE).

Effects look amazing.

Shia looks like his habitually atrocious self.

If the tickets were free, I'd definitely watch this in theaters. I think I'll just don a paper bag and beat myself with a frying pan whenever Shia is on screen. The pain would be preferable.
