I'll also be on the waiting list, until I find out what the Human:Giant Robot ratio is. I'll accept nothing less than 1:2, but 1:8 would be ideal.
The other two, I watched. I wouldn't call them horrible, and I even had a case of post-explosion anxiety afterwards, made for good popcorn flick. But... I also have to agree that Sam's character is highly unlikeable, and this is just a personal thing for me, but unrelatable. I can't care about him.
Optimus, on the other hand, I like him, he's an awesome guy. Bumblebee too, though we don't get to know enough about him. The Transformers are so much more likable, but they don't get the screen time they deserve (as someone brought up, for understandable monetary reasons).
Maybe if, like others said, the movies didn't take themselves so damn seriously.
