The ironic thing is that some people on this site are actually saying that drawing a picture on a site that one must actively seek out is "disrespectful".

It'd be like me taking a shit in my toilet and having someone enter the lavatory and peek in the bowl and complain about how disgusting I am.

Just stay out of my shit and you won't get offended, people. :p
A more correct analogue would be if you took a dump in a public park (and even more correct would be if it were on a bible or an American flag). I mean, people have to actually go to the park in order to see your shit. Why can't they just ignore it?

This argument is frivolous. The site was set up as a statement, in order to be seen. If you draw (take) a picture on (a dump in) your own computer (toilet), no one cares. Although if you don't flush you are disgusting. :p

Not at all, since the public park is publically funded. Though I would dump on a Bible. And an American flag is nothing more than a piece of cloth. I'd burn one. *shrugs* Actually, I'd burn one in glee for the 1st Amendment that allows me to do such. Ironic, eh?

People telling me that I can't draw Muhammed is the same as saying i can't eat meat on a friday. It's taking other people's beliefs and forcing it on others. That is wrong. Double when you threaten death over a joke. Those people who did that (Revolution Muslims out of New York) should be ashamed and brought up on charges for death threats and inciting violence.
So, in order for them not to force their horrible beliefs on you, you force you justified beliefs on them? Thats brilliant...

Edit: Lets take it a step further! And force ALL people of different faith to become atheist just like us. That will surely solve all the worlds problems wont it? /Edit
seen southpark? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_God_Go

There exists a belief that mere logic won't work, but one must be a "dick" about religion for all of mankind to turn ateist, starting with muslims.

Thumbs up to everyone who drew muhammed.

Psh.. allow me to play them the worlds smallest violin. Its seriously screwed up when you threaten death over drawing a person. Especially when said people may not even be from your country or that religion. Are they that batshit insane?

I'd say more but i'd probably ramble and get myself in trouble, my point is its dumb and they should just get over it. Noone is going to stop because they whine about it.

I still don't understand how breaking an unbreakable rule of a religion and insulting more a million people is expressing and exemplifying the good nature of free speech. Its abuse of free speech. Call muslims assholes or dumbasses or whatever (just an example, not insulting anyone here, plz dont ban me :D) but insulting their religion does no one any good. Its abuse not expression.

Lol. I drew a picture of the prophet holding hands with Jesus on Paint in less than a minute. My friend thought it was so funny, he uploaded it to his phone, and made a chain letter of it. He sent it to everyone he knew.

The only way you can abuse free speech is by preventing free speech.

Their religion is hokum.

I dont see what the big deal is. Plenty of Facebook pages are plastered up to make fun of every single other God and prophet that someone might believe in. What makes Muhammad so special?
So in the name of fairness I would say they should let the page run its course, the more they fight it the more attention it gets.

Warning some may find this picture offensive, but it carries alot of truth

crap, you cant see it. anyway the picture is a Muslim guy drawing a Jewish person with claws, and fire in his eyes while a guy is drawing Muhammad as a plain stick figure and the Muslim guy is saying "that is SO offensive"

If you want to control the masses, remove their ability for information and knowledge. When it comes to Muhammad the extremists go really extreme. Seems to me as if the Muslim extremists are forcing censorship through violence and threats, nothing new here.

Your freedom of religion ends where my freedom of expression begins. Here in the Western World, sacrilege is NOT a crime. I could post a picture of various religious figures sodomizing each other, and there is NO LEGAL ACTION WHATSOEVER that adherents of those religions could take other than call me names. At that point, however, I'd probably have a pretty strong case for a defamation of character lawsuit.
Speaking of India don't they have a couple temples where thats more or less depicted on stone wall carvings? I think i saw it on an episode of Wild Boyz awhile back.

hugely hypocritical. they are either for free speech or for censorship, you can't have it both ways - especially seeing as no one is harmed by drawing a vague approximation of some ********** ****** who started a completely ******** ********.
(Harmless expression of personal opinion has been censored courtesy of Facebooks' Firefox Taskbar)

I feel this has gone to far...On both sides. On the side of Pakistan Banning the site, I think thats abit to extreme, but then conceder the fact that were also going to be disgracing every other person who follows the Islamic religion. So to far, on both sides.

lol @ Pakistan, south park has drawn jesus and other religious figures without any christians or other people complaining.
and everytime Scientologists / followers of Islam complain about shit like that, I remind them of that exact fact. Almost every religious group / minority group has been relentlessly mocked light heartedly in shows like South Park. Lighten up, guys! :p

Because its relavent to this discussion you should probably watch this:

The guy sounds like a condescending asshole: "(I paraphrase) The west is a glorious bastion of freedom, science and culture whilst the East is a hostile, primitive desert mob."
Well if were paraphrasing now, lets take a look at the angry mobs point of view:

"FREEDOM GO TO HELL"
"EUROPE WILL PAY"
"WE WANT DANISH BLOOD"
"SLAY THOSE WHO INSULT ISLAM"
"BUTCHER THOSE WHO MOCK ISLAM"
"BEHEAD THOSE WHO INSULT ISLAM"

Either way i have no like of religion and the especially the way religion controls nations over there.

And because this just became relavent:

Now make your argument.

First of all I'd like people to read this http://www.cracked.com/article_18510_6-supposedly-ancient-traditions-that-totally-arent.html to see that first of all, islam extremism is actually a more modern thing. Secondly to this quote

Define 'provacative'.

And why not be provacative just to be provacative? Isn't that what Lenny Bruce did? And he helped every single person in America by being provacative.

I can make fun of whatever I want. If I were to pull away from one subject, that would be even more disrespectful because it suggests that, well, everyone else can handle it but you're too much of a child to so I'll back off. No. That's even more disrespectful.
I would have less problems with the facebook page if it was in reaction to something that westerners didn't start. We all know that south park created that episode probably knowing that they would get death threats. in fact anyone else remember their family guy episode? So this is where its at fault. I would have no problem if your being provocative in reply to something they had said. For example http://blogcritics.org/culture/article/muslim-clerics-uncovered-meat-remarks-spark/ If in response to this comment all the women of australia got infront of the clerics house in bikini's that would be something that i'd be all too happy to support. But since south park started all this by insulting a religion because they could, I have a problem with this type of provocation. (note i haven't seen the episode with mohammed in it)
