OK, this just ruined my day.
I will never, EVER, play a god damn FPS, ON A GOD DAMN CONSOLE.
This is why I built my own gaming PC.
I had no intention of buying the prestige edition, but that does not remove the fact that I am right now (for lack of a better word) Pissed Off
Then you should expect to get sub-par ports and limited choice in the future, my friend.
My theory is that the PC's time in the spotlight in terms of being a superior choice has well and truely ended (largely because it no longer has any notable advantages over the console besides slight improvements in graphics, which is also debatable, and the use of a mouse for fine aiming and control during RTS, which is countered by the fact that console controls will continue to improve over time).
I enjoyed playing games on my PC but my computer isn't very good so I noticed that the choice of games I had for it was very slim (unless some generous soul on here is going to donate their time and money to fix mine up it will probably stay that way), my 360 on the other hand can handle any Xbox game I place into it.
This may sound like a reason why consoles are more convienient to play but it's also a reason why they are more profitable (which is what businesses like Activision is after in the end), I remember walking into game shops in the past to buy a PC game (this is fogeting the instances where I've gone into places like Blockbusters where they don't carry PC games) and I remember that every time before buying a game I've thought 'I am going to be so pissed if I get home and this game doesn't work'.
My technical skills and computer knowledge is not great and I know I am not alone in this (hell, I'm part of a greater majority that is otherwise silent in forums like this), it is much easier to sell your product to a larger crowd when no competence or intelligence is required to use it (consoles are simply a matter of pop in and play while PC's are infamous for install times and requiring the player to ajust settings, check their graphics work etc.), consoles make a particular game more accessible to a larger crowd (which is obviously going to be good for business).
This is more than likely why console games get more attention and bonuses these days than PC games, in short, the master race of PC gaming finally has to get off it's podium and accept second place for once, you're not as profitable anymore.
