Honestly? As much as I'm against seal clubbing and seal hunting,
Why? Seals are just animals like bears and deers, so long as you make good use of the meat and fur and don't just kill them for no reason i fail to see what the problem is.
I know but I'm secrelty a nutcase who doesn't want animals to die ever. I'd be vegetarian if I didn't love meat so much. But there's not a lot thta can be done really so I don't let it really bother me.

And as long as the products are useful its mostly alright with me. But if people are skinning animals whilst they're alive (I saw that done, it was horiffic) for fur then those people deserve no worse treatment.

It seems that we are in much agreement on this topic.

A small part of me willing to entertain the unfeasible sometimes wonders if PETA's ranks are filled with former die-hards who've been bought out by their enemies to trivialize the organization. I mean, for the most part I support what they stand for, but I could never get behind a group like this because of all the ridiculous shit they do.

And what the Hell were they doing at the Michael Jackson trial in bibb lettuce bikinis? What the fuck does that have to do with child molestation and fame?

These bastards give hippies a bad name.

My favourite past-time. Whatever PETA says, do the opposite.

I'm off to my local zoo to beat the shit out of some seals.

Actually, according to the Penn & Teller episode about PETA, it seems like PETA kills lots and lots of cute animals every year (e.g. dogs and cats that they can't find a home for).
That is quite true, I've seen the reports the last couple of years, I forget which site they were on because I found the articles through Digg, but PETA kills far more animals than the Humane Society or PAWS every year. The Humane Society and PAWS euthanize somewhere between 30%-40% of the animals they can't adopt out and PETA was like 97% in 2008. And they claim to care about animal rights.

Well someone didn't play through very long. 60 seconds or less and you should be at the hill's end. Though I'm disappointed for a different reason. If they wanted to truly capture the awesomeness that was SkiFree, they should have had a Sasquatch with a club run out at the end and beat the seal mercilessly.
While that would have been possibly the most awesome end to a flash game ever it would have defeated the purpose of the game. It really pissed me off that no matter how many seal clubbers I drove my seal under he would just blink and move past them.

Does anyone else find it sickening that people who hate the mistreatment of animals work so hard on making games about mistreating animals?
I know its supposed to be "shocking" so if I play it ill start hugging the nearest furry critter, but its still very strange and disturbing.

Ok Im completely disturbed by men raping women, for reasons I will not disclose, but Im not going to spend my time torturing myself by programming a game in which you viciously beat and violate a helpless woman.

Its sick people.
sick!

does'nt anyone think that all these peta bastards should stop wasting time and money on protecting animals and use that energy to do something useful, say like feeding the millions of homeless children in this world?

No points are scored and the game appears to run forever or until you get sick of it and go do something else, whichever comes first.
Wow, you have a short attention span. On my first attempt, I finished the race in under a minute.

I'm going to fail at that game on purpose.

Then go play some more seal hunt.
Is it even possible because i tried, and the seal hunters don't actually do anything to you.

Before people continue on about the evil malevolent practices of Canada, (or PETA for that matter, though they really don't have a good track record.)how about you have a look at the laws and practices of the seal hunt and have an actual informed option.

As a Canadian I can safely say "those seals had it coming!"

PETA just needs to crawl in a pit, everything they do just ends up making themselves look bad...

Alright the seal hunt is fine. There are way worse things these people could be worrying about

Why? There's nothing wrong with hunting seals. I kind of wish that they'd sell the seal meat. I'd like to try some.

OT: Too bad the game sucked. Now that the development of bad games has been added to PETA's list of activities, it now has no redeeming qualities (at least in my opinion).
Yeah but I like seals, all animals actually, especially the cute ones so it doesn't really sit right with me to hunt them. I know there's worse things to worry about but that doesn't mean I can't be pretty disappointed about this too.

Besides I guess I had Canada painted out as some paradise, which is pretty stupid actually, where nothing goes wrong ever, I guess it has its faults too.
I'm a "Newfie", and damn proud of it. PETA needs to get some sense. They're ruining thousands of lives because of they exaggerations and outright lies. I wish they'd realise that their tactics betray their 'cause far more then helping it.

The Seal Hunt is heavily, heavily, HEAVILY, monitored. The use guns now, and have for quite some time. Sealers do not kill white coats anymore. It's illegal, and no one would buy it anyway, 'cause if they're caught they're way up shit creek without a boat, let alone a paddle.

The Seal Hunt is important to our province. It' brings in money for families they don't live near the city who really need the income.

Not only that, since Newfoundland, Canada, and certain other countries have fished the Cod stocks to near oblivion, the Seal Hunt helps towards the conservation efforts to bring back the Cod stocks. Seal eat Cod. Lots of it. While we sell and eat practically every bit of the fish, the seal usually just eats the tender bits and leaves the rest to waste.

I will say, Flipper Pie is really damn delicious.

It's not as bad as, say, American slaughterhouses.

I am SICK and TIRED of people freaking out about the seal hunt, considering that calves have eyes <link=http://x59.xanga.com/3d1c976b37733208128098/w162040574.jpg>nearly as cute as seals but are constantly killed by gun blasts to the temple. For your delicious burger.

Leave the seal hunt alone until you fix your OWN animal treatment problems.

PETA, yeah. Who cares what they say? They lost the last bit of credibility they had with that "sea kittens" bullshit.

Also, the game looks like it was made as someone's unfinished first attempt at flash.

I love you. In a totally non-sexual way, mind you.
