Oh for fuck sake!! Watered down games my ass. It's a fucking hand held system!! it's games are no more watered down that that of what you would see on the DS!! It's like your trying to compare it's games to consoles, jesus. So blatantly ignorant and naive of a statement. Pathetically small screen? I guess the DS's screen, or the ipods screen doesn't cut it for ya either, you know..as they are smaller or close to the same size as the PSP's. Nobody is forcing you to buy UMD movies, and who is to says that some people don't have said movies. They are there for people who don't already own the film!! If you already got the movie, dump it on a friggen memory stick. The UMD movie argument is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard because guess what, NOT EVERYONE HAS SAID MOVIE!! Oh and god forbid they make the PSP a multi media center, you know...just like god forbid your cellphone, ipod, CONSOLE, DS and computer do the same fracken thing. The hypocrisy and ignorance is just so painful to see.

*takes deep breath* sorry I'm in a bad mood and I grow tired of people bringing up the same tired old and blatantly false arguments over and over again. I try not to be an asshole about these things, but it's getting hard to restrain myself. And this anger is not solely directed towards PSP haters, it's *insert system* haters in general. It just seems the PSP and Wii get the most undeserved flack around here.

But good for you that you bought all those games for a bargain and bought them legitimately. You actually know some business sense and learned the ancient art of saving up. It is easily learned, and surprisingly easy to master.
Whhaaaaaaaa?! Isn't this what you've been grilling me on? I even buy my games at full price and I get you and Emo-face screaming down at me! Fun conversation though. I've been thriving on debate lately. Thanks again.
Well, you buy some of the games you pirate but not all of them. But I wasn't referencing you if that's what you were thinking, I'll forgive you (for now 0_0), but I still don't agree with your method of playing and/or buying games. Sorry if you thought I was bagging you, and I do think that Flying-Emu has made alot of points against you.

I give flak to things that deserve it, which is just about every system ever made. Because every system has it's flaws. Read some of my precious posts: I also get very judgmental about the wii, PS3 and 360.

And really: Handheld consoles have always been a rather silly idea. The same game, but on a far worse system with a much too small of screen. Hell, the earliest ones (to make it even more ridiculous) were in ... the equivalent to black and white.

What could've made the PSP an unbridled success: A little planning ahead. If the UMDs were actually universal as their name suggests, there might be reason to play them. In fact, with the combined support of the PSP and PS2, there'd be much more reason to buy UMD movies.

Perhaps have some support between transfering data from the PSP to PS2 memory card and back again. That would make it... worth while.

50 million sold isn't "unbridled" success? Hell, the fact that it survived against the DS is proof enough that it's a successful system!

Here's the deal. The PSP goes hand in hand with the PS3.

Peter Dille.... No. Don't know him. Then again I know few names in the videogame industry except them really big'uns like Richard Garriot, Peter Molineux and Sid Meier. I don't really wanna count Tom Clancy considering he didn't start with the videogames, I think.

On this raging piracy/consolewar/whatever highjack, (Disclaimer: The following is all my own personal opinion and will not affect you or your beloved/hated companies unless you let it) the PSP's games are meh (have never cared for MGS, nor FF9, except Dissidia), the DS's good games are more numerous, my friends have modded PSP's, I will never buy one, I have an R4, I barely use it, I have been attempting to make amends for the last couple years of rampant piracy by looking to see if I can't buy the games I enjoyed here and there (barring the Sims 2, I mean come on), don't know anything about UMD, I like (not love) my DS and its games, the PSX rocks, the PSP is probably inferior to last-gen consoles, superior to fourth-gen consoles, and this wall of text needs more paragraphs.

First and last post to this thread, feel free to flame me for whatever regardless.

^Now why would any of us flame you for preferring the DS over the PSP? at least you clearly say that you enjoy one over the other and that you don't have interest in it and not blatantly hate it. And good for you trying to make up for your piracy by purchasing those games (if by what you implied was that you are purchasing the very games you pirated)
