Almost two weeks ago, I got a septum piercing. The reaction to it has been... mixed... to say the least, due to the fact that it's a very uncommon piercing around here.
In the time between getting the piercing and right now, I've noticed something strange. In school, teachers seem more suspicious of me. I don't know how to explain it without rambling but basically they seem to be less trusting of me, generally much less willing to hear what I have to say, etc. Outside of school, when I go into shops, security guards seem to watch me more closely than usual. Only two days ago, I was in Tesco to kill about 15 minutes until I got picked up by my friend and I couldn't help but notice that a security guard was hovering near me anywhere I went. I'm beginning to think that people are associating piercings with trouble in general.
What's your opinion? What do you think when you see someone with unusual piercings (ie. not ears or navel)?
EDIT:
That's a septum piercing. Mine is smaller though.
