posting for 3W since he keeps getting a 403 error

William felt dazed, and realized he had neither spoken nor moved for some time. he shook his head, trying to clear it, and heard Derrick speak.

"It's possible that these puzzles are my own work," he said, with a trace of ironic amusement, "If so, I must apologize in advance."

He began to move down the passageway carefully, looking out for any kind of trap.

The passage leads to another circular room with three normal not at all needing any special way of opening them doors, which will be deemed left, center, and right. The room is littered with skeletal remains of well who ever happened to have a skeleton in this particular room, upon entering the skeletons rise up brandishing what ever weapon happened to be nearest to them.

Skeletal Warrior A-E 20 HP each
Skeletal Mage A-C 10 HP each
Skeletal Priest A 10 HP

The Skeletal Warriors all charge William the first one unlucky enough to enter taking him off guard and striking him for 7,12,14,14,14 (189 HP left).

Each Skeletal Mage casts an Armor spell on one Skeletal Warrior, Skeletal Warriors A, B and C receive 2d6 less damage from the next five attacks against them.

The Skeletal Priest casts and maintains Dark Bond on Skeletal Warrior D, Skeletal Warrior D receives no damage from attacks, the damage is redirected to Skeletal Priest and is reduced by 1d10+5. The Skeletal Priest is now immobile and cannot attack while maintaining the enchantment.

Upon seeing the skeletal warriors rush William, Derrick already knew his services were needed. He also noted the magic the priest and mages were using.

"Can't make this easy on me, can you?" Derrick muttered, preparing to do Heal Serious Wounds. He patched up 19HP (William 208).

"Leonart, that priest needs to drop, if you would be so kind?" Derrick said, needing a moment to prepare to heal once more.

"The priest?" He turned quickly, pulling an arrow into the bowstring and sighting his target, the robe-wearing humanoid at the back. "I shall gladly do that for you, Master Moorton."

It seemed strange to Leonart. A man who believed in a benevolent and powerful God would become a priest, to fulfill the God's wishes. But that same 'benevolent' God would allow that same pious man's body to be used and abused by magics. A strange profession, but then so was writing.

His mind refocused upon the task at hand, namely firing an arrow into a dry, bony skull. He unleashed the projectile, hitting his mark and reducing the skeleton priest's head to a fine bone powder, but leaving the body to continue it's work. (9 damage, 1 HP left)

Just wondering, fanklok, can we 'Final Fantasy' this bit and have Derrick use healing magic to do damage to the undead?

I doubt that's going to be needed these are rather weak if most of the warriors weren't enchanted xero could kill the entire group by himself rather quickly

Haseo unsheathed his blade. He stood there for a second, then suddenly brought his blade straight down, creating a sonic boom and sending a wave of energy towards Mages A and B, slicing both in half with 22 damage each. "Vortex Blade. Second Stage of Kamitachi Winds." He said with a growl.

It's actually a valid question Fanklok. We might be facing an undead boss later on, and we would need all the help we could get.

We weren't really looking for a compromise of any sort. Just a yes or no answer to the question "Can Heal Light Wounds and other healing spells damage undead?"

Not complaining at all. The double damage to undead is nice. But it ain't an answer on it's own.

we weren't negotiating? ah well no I do believe that the strongest spell at your disposal dealing x2 should suffice, besides you'd really want your only healer to waste his energy doing 30 damage to a boss rather then restoring 30 of your HP? who will more then likely hit that hard

William nods to Derrick, then cocks his crossbow and takes aim. He fires once at the skeleton priest for 7 damage (Whee overkill!),killing it outright, then sends to other bolt at the remaining skeleton mage for 8 damage

Derrick grinned as the priest went down.

"That ought to solve that little magic problem...." Derrick said, deciding that William needed more healing than the skeletons needed killing.

Heal Serious wounds was cast again this time healing many more wounds (27 bringing William 235HP).

Derrick chuckled at his work, but felt that casting spells like that a few more times might be reaching his limit.

I think that the Holy damage is fine, and makes quite a bit of sense actually. Nice to see you back ThreeWords. Thought we lost ya there. :p

Thank you, Stranger. It's good to be back =D

As the priest fell, William felt further energy flow back into him as derrick cast another spell. he rolled his shoulders, marveling at the return of flexibility and vigor the spells brought along with their healing, then drew his sword and lunged for the final mage, as it stumbled back from his bolt, hitting it for 8 (the dice hate me). Under the force of the bow, the already weakened skeleton shattered completely

Skeletal Warrior A-E 20 HP each
A-C enchanted with armor spell

Taking advantage of the openings left from the party attacking the casters the Skeletal Warriors attack.

Skeletal Warriors A and B hit Haseo for 11,13 (276)

Skeletal Warrior C swings at Leonart but he jumps out of the way and into the attack range of Skeletal Warrior D getting hit for 9 (161)

Skeletal Warrior E rushes Derrick and strikes for 14 (106)

Derrick took the blow, as he should have saw it coming.

Always was a little bit too involved in my work...

Derrick decided that removing these skeletons were now a primary concern, so he could Regen everyone. He focused on his two closest targets, D and E, and Called Lightning. The Lighting struck down the first (E takes 20 Damage) and nearly destroying the second (D takes 18 Damage, 2 left). Derrick did not feel drained at all, as being struck seemed to wake up his survival instincts. Kill or be killed.

Here's to bending the rules slightly...
William shoulder charges D, knocking it down, then, off balance, lunges at C. The attack is murderous, and should have been crippling, but the Armour spell still remains, and the blow glances harmlessly off. Indeed, the spell's resistance is so great that he is sent staggering backwards

(The shoulder charge deals enough damage to kill D, but costs William his +4 on his sword attack)

Leonart turned, kicking the skeletal body away and unleashing an arrow into it's chest (attacking C, 6 damage, 14 left).

That works... right? My mind is making sense when I think but not when I make words.

I remembered fanklok. I split my dice roll to kill one and hurt the other. I thought it would be satisfactory.

Well, wolf, we are waiting for the GM to do his minions moves, since we have all already done ours. Unless, of course, he has no problem with us going as long as we don't double post. Thats what I am waiting for anyway.
