Goddamn that was funny. I laughed, am still laughing, and will probably watch the remix at least once more tonight.

I was going to Hell LONG before I saw this, so I'm not particularly irked about my fate.

I damn near pissed my pants when I saw that.
Man, that was great. My day sucked so I needed a good laugh at others' expense. Hahaha the Escapist always delivers in that department.

Wait 48 hours, and there will be at least 3 remixes with either BOOM HEADSHOT or a Starfox reference.

Oh my god that's funny.

Does this remind anybody else of that Rick James sketch from the Chapelle show?

Maybe it's because I have children, but that scream sent actual pain and terror through my body. That was absolutely NOT funny. Not damning anyone who thought it was, but my god.. gonna go hug my girls now.

I was expecting hilarity, but it was actually pretty disturbing.
And the sound of that hand colliding with her face probably broke the sound barrier.

Nothing brings a smile to my face like seeing children injured.

Haaaaaa, I probably have issues.

Still, lotta injuries with this thing. The Wii caused problems too, but it really didn't hurt people. It mostly hurt walls and TVs.
In full agreement.
She will now grow up to associate the kinect with sweet back-hands and pain.

in the future she might just set up a support group for the generation of kids injured by the kinect.
seriously though kids should know better then to wlak within 5 feet of someone flailing about like that.
and yes him posting it on you tube smacks of Americas Funniest home vidoes, just without the prizes.

Oh man...

It looked and sounded extremely painful. That kid's face HAD to have been stinging for, at least, an hour. Completely hilarious real life rag doll physics, too.

I'm going to replay the remix for another hour or so and probably laugh so damn hard I'll come dangerously close to cementing my own ass to the chair I'm sitting on with my feces.

The slow-mo slap and the slow-mo scream from the little girl did make me laugh, I admit.

...

This was put up for laughs?!

This shouldn't have even made it to Youtube let alone the Escapist for the sake of fucking laughter!

Sucks this accident happened. Especially since she got his by his ring too. Hopefully he doesnt have to face any legal troubles or claims of abuse. Its not like he purposely did it.

But I'll say what I said on my facebook post that I uploaded this with, which is:
"Gotta show that your pimp hand's strong while they're young"

So, should we assume he uploaded it? Because accidentally smacking your child in the face is understandable. Uploading the video of you shearing the front of their face off with your fist as a comedy clip......well.........
The father was the one who uploaded it but he did so the next day because the little girl was completely fine. No bruises or anything. He said that they can now watch it and laugh about it.

See, this is one of the problems with these motion control devices. Your mind/attention is in the virtual world, so you ignore the real world. It's kind of like what happens with cell phones and why you shouldn't use them while driving.

Now this also happens with standard control games, however it's typically not a problem since you aren't waving your arms around so you can hit someone.

I just don't think these things are ready for primetime yet.
