Little changes make enough for a new game. I didn't see anyone else complain about these two games getting released, what the fuck is wrong with current Pokemon (Also, care to explain how there are NO GOOD POKEMON AT ALL) Despite the obvious certain ones like Hydregion, Scolipede, and Zoroark. And if you don't like those, well there are some good ones that they've added to be available (You know, Lucario, Tyranitar and so forth)

I think you've ignored what they've added into Black and White 2, I have not played them yet because they are not available in english but from what I can tell, all the little additions make up for it, changes in gyms, changes in the pokemon available, new takes and such are all little things.

Pokemon has always been about little changes to the formula, ever since Pokemon Gold and Silver came out, it has always been about the little things, keeps the core gameplay but make changes that mix up the game bit by bit.

Played Perl and "finished" it, got Diamond (really cheap) and I still haven't played it. Just grew tired of the whole set up and then I stopped buying Handhelds because Pokemon was the only game I bought them for.

Looking back I wish they'd do more significant upgrades to the game-play, something to take out the HORRIBLE gut wrenching grind.

But mostly I just gave up when the aim of the game was to 'Catch the All' and fathoming I never could without cheating, fucking promotional Pokemon Bullshit.

I don't understand, do sequels/new games in a franchise somehow corrupt your memories of the old games? If you don't like the new games just forget about them, and let those that like them continue to buy them. It's not a negative thing for you, because if they stopped making the games entirely it would have the same effect on you as not liking/buying the new ones.

This is coming from somebody who didn't even make it 2 hours through Pokemon Black after buying it by the way, I agree on your opinions of the game, but it doesn't ruin Blue/Red/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald for me, because they're... different games?

OT: Pokemon is a force of nature. It'll die sooner or later, but until that time comes, it'll do it's thing and noone can do a thing about it. Personally, I love Pokemon. The core series has always been fun for me, and the Mystery Dungeon series is better than I expected it to be, especially the newer ones. Pokemon Conquest looks interesting and I can't wait to get it when I can afford it.

I love Pokemon.

However it's a very antisocial Time Sink. Now-a-days, similar Time sinks tend to be MMOs or RPGs played through Steam/xBoxLive/PSOnline/Origin etc.
Ok, it's not antisocial if you have living bleeding friend nearby with a DS and same generation game or you live in a densely populated area where Pokemon is popular.

It's a great vacation game. Eats up time which you'd rather spend playing the game than doing sod all.

If they can make Pokemon be social-able then it might be awesome. At the moment I'm just training my Pokemon and I am thinking why?. I don't breed or EV stuff. Biggest Pokemongeeky thing I did was breed a level 19 Dratini with Dragon Rage so I could 1 shot the 19-10 bracket in the Battle Tower in Crystal.

Problem is that each generation they add new monsters. New comers will be daunted. True you don't HAVE to own them all, but it's still annoying for a new player to know of the Pokemon that exist and how annoying it is for them to get them. If you're a dedicated fan, it's easy. I current have an army of Pokemon from 2 generations back (Ruby and Sapphire).

Plenty of people still look forward to, buy and enjoy the newer Pokemon games, which will include Black and White 2 for sure. Why should they stop making new Pokemon games just because some people aren't happy about it? Its not like they are recalling all the copies of older Pokemon games and overwriting them with the new ones, the old ones are still there for you to play, stop getting offended over nothing. If you don't like the new Pokemon games, don't play them, no one is forcing you to. Many people will play and enjoy the new ones, regardless of how important you think your opinion is. What is so bad about sticking to the same formula anyway? "If it isn't broken don't fix it" The formula works extremely well and is highly successful and they are still implementing a lot of new content with each game, even if the overall structure is largely the same.
