Could you be more biased?

At least the article you copied from sourced got it right.

Winn bolted out of the house and pointed a gun at the police officers, according to an affidavit. An officer then shot him in the torso. He was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
He was killed for pointing a gun at officers. They where defending themselves. He didn't have to flee, and he defiantly didn't have to point the gun at them. Pointing the gun is an aggressive act, he wasn't defending himself from the police.

Would it not have been better to use the money it took to get that gun to buy an Xbox?
I bought a Phoenix Arms .22LR at a garage sale for $75, mostly just because I never owned a Phoenix Arms before, and won't own another in the future - target pistol my ass. I also bought a Mossburg with a broken stock at a gun show for $50, I just wanted the barrel, but a little more money to buy a pistol grip and it would have been good to go again. I think a 360 costs a bit more then either of those.

Police officers are trained to fire if they feel their lives are in danger and there is no other alternative. They're also trained to shoot to kill. Guess what happens if you point a gun at them? This kid's funeral is gonna be a hell of a lot more expensive than the Xbox he didn't want locked away as evidence. And now it's locked away as evidence anyways. Not sure he thought that one through. Or thought about it at all.

As many people said, this article isn't about the 360 being stolen. You don't point a gun at the police, you may as well finger the mafia.

He probably didn't even need to. Brainpower was obviously not one of this kid's strengths. I bet he heard in the news about the string of craigslist robberies around the country and figured he would give that a try, makes me wonder if this is even the first time he did it or not.

I have to admit a lot of these guys robbing people selling stuff on craigslist have to be stupid. You have pretty good chance of the seller having a gun in their house, and with the robberies going on you have a much higher chance of them having the weapon loaded and easily accessible when they go to met potential buyers at the door. I know I did the few times I sold anything on craigslist. Pulling a gun on someone in their home just seems like a good way to get yourself shot.

You Americans & your guns
Yes, what about them? I happen to really like them, even if they are the most expensive hobby of mine. Oh wait, your trying to pull the guns bad card and say that Americans are silly for owning them. Right gotcha.

How is the nice little island you live on?

Pointing a gun at a cop should be listed as automatic "Suicide By Cop". It's baffling how people think when you point a weapon at a group of officers in a foot pursuit will slow them down or you'll get away, your going to get shot because the police are then Defending themselves.

Suicide by cop. Slightly understandable when facing charges of armed robbery.
