Um... what big reveal? No one ever said. Not that I really care a whole lot - just mildly curious.

Anyway, I never bought a Wii, so I probably won't get a Wii U. When Xenoblade 2 comes out (or anything else by Monolith Soft) I will buy THAT and then borrow a friend's Wii U to play it on. Which is what I did with Xenoblade.

No I didn't miss it, it's on the list, I just honestly don't care. Still people like Picmin so I guess that's Nintendo's system seller for the time being. It doesn't change the fact that so far 95 percent of the games catalogue is ports. Everything else mentioned sounds like a repeat of the wii.

People appreciate things more when they find it themselves and if they don't bother they didn't want to know.

I'm amazed how much resistance there is over this. Imagine if someone wanted to play the unfinished swan and journey, but didn't have a playstation. Or trials evolution but didn't have an xbox.

I did look at the other games. Out of that list, there is only one game I want, and I'm not into mario / zelda either which will come along later. So perhaps I should stick to a console that covers my tastes, rather than forcibly changing them to fit around some games so I can play bayonetta 2? Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps....you lot shouldn't take it so personally.

BUT to anyone who DOES like a couple of those games (or more!), don't let my comments hold you back! They just don't particularly appeal to ME enough to justify buying a WHOLE NEW CONSOLE!

For reference, some games I like:
fifa, batman, bayonetta, fallout, ninja gaiden, mass effect, ghost recon, cod, ssx, dirt 3, dragons dogma, saints row, vanquish

Also, I have swapped consoles before, but there was a lot more overlap, and multiple exclusives I really wanted to play.

Bayonetta 2 will be on the wii U only.
The best version of ninja gaiden 3 will be on the wii U.
It has those shooters you love which are practically all the same, but more options for playing them.
It'll have a new dirt.
It will have lego grand theft auto covering that sand box feel.
Wii U is getting lots of platinum love, I notice two platinum games on your list there.
Wonderful 101 is platinum games, so is bayonetta 2 both exclusive.
The last mass effect game was already made, so I see no point in listing it despite it being on there.
It can obviously get batman and has done so since the NES days.'

Giving them a link or video is a far more effective response than just poking people. Show them something you believe is a great representation (like you gave me) and it actually may just capture their interests. Assuming they didn't bother to look just shows that you don't have a clue what you're doing (herr durr). You don't come of as clever or friendly, what the hell type of reponse are you going for?

Fifa - I see no real benefit in using a pad for plans.
Bayonetta 2...I know, that's what started this.
Ninja gaiden 3 is awful, no matter what console. 2 and sigma are the good ones.
Besides, I'm not interested in playing the same games again, just on a different console.
Not into lego games.
The next platinum game, metal gear revengance isn't wiiu exclusive, and in fact isn't planned to come out on the wiiu at all.
Just looked at the wonderful 101, yeah...not my thing.
I was listing games I liked to illustrate my tastes.

Ps3 and xbox share a lot of the games I like. I initially chose xbox over ps3 because of halo, gears and mass effect (which started out exclusive) and it was cheaper.

Later I switched to ps3, because I wanted to play DMC(4 and new), GoW (3and ascension), ssx, the last of us, and possibly starhawk and twisted metal.

If wiiu has alot of overlap with the major releases, as well as having more than one exclusive I really want to play and I'm looking for a new console then I'll definitely consider it (price included...). But that's a lot of tripping points at the moment. But if you're offering me a free one I won't say no either.

I'll buy it if these aren't the only good games we see on it for the next 3 years. There releases look good, but I want consistency. I threw money at the Wii and bought 8 games, waited almost a year and saw nothing else I wanted released.

Eh, already decided I'm getting a 3DS, so if anything, that's a vote towards not getting a WiiU. Also, other than Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter, there's not a whole lot on the WiiU that's exciting me, and I can get both those on the 3DS, albeit in different forms, plus pokemon, advance wars, it being portable, etc. I'm still open to the idea of getting one, but I'm gonna need something better to motivate me to do so. It really needs it's own killer app.

There is a Fire Emblem game. That series is the biggest system seller in the world for me. Everything else is just icing on the cake. I will however wait until SMT X Fire Emblem comes out though, in case there's a special edition like the Awakening 3DS.

Woah woah woah, Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS? If I find out it's an XL, and coming stateside, this will have made my night.

EDIT- Stateside, yes! XL, no. Oh well, probably just going to get the Mario Kart bundle then. I needs that XL, sorry to say.
