If the situation gives me a second then im going to reload. I always see people get caught reloading while shooting and then they die and look stupid so i guess im just paranoid

Sometimes. Usually though I go through my ammunition and have the game reload for me. Also, I try not to manually reload in RPG's as often, in order to help my immersion.

Yep, and unless something odd happens, I reload as soon as I kill someone, even if there's more people ready to be shot.

What are you *quickload* talking ab*quickload*out? I would never be a *quickload* cheap guy and just *quickload* load a previous save if I *quickload* screw so*quickload*meth*quickload*ing up!

......Yeah, I often load previous saves, if it's relatively fast and easy.

Also, I am an obsessive compulsive saver. In golden sun I would save, run down a hall and then immediately save again. >_<

Not really. In games of Bad Company 2 for example I find myself constantly just jamming one round back into the shotgun (which I use on every map at every opportunity) because it often isn't safe to actually reload (especially at shotgun range). I reload only on two occasions: when I'm reasonably certain it is safe to do so or when the situation forces me to.

I usually forget, actually.

I thought this was going to be a thread about reloading previous saves. I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED!

I reload after either hitting an enemy or getting a kill. Usually when I hit an enemy they come gunning and those few bullets make a difference.

However on Uncharted 2 multiplayer, I reload if I just fire a bullet. Uncharted 2 has this tendancy to need a full clip to score a kill.

I only reload when I think a fight is over I don't do it after every kill unless I am clipping using a bolt action rifle or pump action shotgun. Those are the only times and in those cases it is beneficial as pump actions take a really long time to fully reload.

If I ever play a shooter, I reload after pretty much every firefight I have no matter what. To the point that I actually really hate watching people play shooters when they run around with a clip that's flashing red or even just slightly less than the maximum clip size for ammo.

Though honestly, I don't think it's ever gotten me killed. Or if it has, then it's gotten me killed way less times than it's saved my life.

I only reload constantly when the game doesn't really punish me for it. For example, Team Fortress 2 lets you fire while reloading unless your clip is empty. For this reason, whenever I start TF2, I open console and type "+reload". XD

Yes, but I usually have the sense to duck first. My deaths-while-reloading have been reduced to an eigth of what they were since I started doing that.

I figure it makes more sense to take a chance on a reload than guarantee death by running around empty. I've had to train myself to not reload if I've got ammo and somebody's already shooting at me though.
This. I almost never forget to reload after an encounter, but I don't stop in the middle of the open, I try to stay concealed. If someone finds me, I just reload cancel by sprinting and try to shoot/knife them. I've trained myself on the timing for reload cancelling on nearly all the guns, SoH or not.

I've been killed only a few times doing so. I always find a little corner or safe spot(usually near my allies) to reload. It has saved my life a bit more times than it has killed me. I also seen people get killed because they run out and reload in the middle of a fire fight. So I suppose it's all about luck and chance.

Yes. So much yes, even in games where it doesn't make sense.

It has gotten to the point where there's no conscious choice involved, it's like quicksaving in New Vegas.

I reload the moment a battle is over or when there's a breif pause in combat That I do it unconciously would mean, yes, I am a compulsive reloader.
[sub]Clips. Another reason I prefer melee combat.[/sub]
