I was offered one, but I declined it.
From what I've heard I'm safer taking my chances >_>

That, and it's not been offered to me yet.

I love the attention the media has brought to this. This is actually a pretty tame strain of the flu just considering other flus and not other named ones like Avion. I am not getting one because I know how to not get sick. My roommate had swine flu and I remained unaffected.

I'd get one (why not?) if I wasn't terrified of needles. As it is it'd be totally more hassle to me than it'd be worth.

Conversely the majority of the infected in Mexico were the young adults, elderly and infants, because of the inhibition of the negative feedback mechanism in the immune system resulting in the flooding of the Cytokines creating a cytokine storm.
Am i supposed to be reading infected as 'lethally infected'? I wasn't suggesting that it is only the elderly/young/infirm that can simply be infected, hell a handfull of my 21 year old friends have come down with it, but all it took was a bit of bedrest and some lemsip.

Also i think in this instance it is relevant to note that Mexico is 61st in WHO healthcare rankings whereas the UK is 18th, i would be surprised if that didn't affect the lethality rates.

I haven't been offered to and I won't take it. Especially concerning some increasingly worrying reports/rumours that the vaccine can actually be dangerous.

Besides, common flu is more dangerous and has killed more people than this "swine" flu. More like media/money flu I would call it.

No, not going to get it. I don't see why I should take it, as it is just another flu. Never taken the flu-shot before, so why start now?
I'm Norwegian as well by the way.

EDIT:

I stood out in the rain for 2 hours just so i could get it, in -2 celsius! Got sick for 2 days becouse of that! :(
I dont think it was worth it, im one of the people that thinks its all a massive hype. I havent heard anyone i know have gotten sick actually.
You do know that cold weather itself cannot give you any illnesses, right? If you want to be sick, hang around sick people. Being cold only lowers your immune system somewhat, since the body needs to use more energy on heating you up. Or something like that.
How many people do you think was there? There where alot of people that wanted that damn vaccine. Someone is bound to have some kind of illness!

Plan to though it's not really a rush for me. My grandparents have decided it's the next evil thing in this world so now it's mostly out of spite and by spite I mean I'll get it for laughs. And for those who think it' a media scare to gain sales, that's most likely in the States if I'm assuming right. Here to the North of you guys it's free though distribution can be charitably described as unorganized and uncharitably called a clusterfuck

Like lead poisoning and heart attacks.
Anyway, it's not so much about protecting yourself as it is about people around you.

I'm not vaccinated because I'm not a pussy

I mean, because I'm not fussed by it and I'm not pregnant, crippled or old.

It only takes about a week to recover from it anyway, it's all scare stories to help pharmaceutical companies get out of the recession.

I haven't yet, but Britain has dedicated itself to vaccinating every British citizen, appaerntly.

What a waste of time and money.

Haha! I got it now!
From what you wrote it seemed like you just stood out in the rain to get the Swineflu :p Which, when I think about it now, doesn't make sense...
I blame lack of sleep and a crappy day!
