No Mos Def? No Wu? No MF Doom, No de la Rocha? Not even a Fugee or 2? C'mon, man. At least you have some older radio stuff (and some Public Enemy, word).
Hey, the fact that there are only 8 sections for albums means I had to choose between a hell of a lot of good rap albums. If you want to complain to The Escapist and ask for more spaces in polls be my guest.

My Name Is is one of the funniest things I've ever heard: Marshall Mathers isn't a rapper, he's a comedic artist ... or ... he was anyway
Since when was he an artist?
Poetry = Art

Rap = Poetry to a beat.

Hood Nursery by Killah Priest I think is probaly one of the best raps ever written. Now, I'm not a huge fan of rap but I really liked this song.

Also, From then till Now by Killah Priest is another quite amazing rap.

*sobs* I have waited so long for a music discussion here that wasn't metal related.

Hard to choose between snoop and wu tang clan, but why no B.I.G?

I'd have to say that Aesop Rock's "Babies With Guns" is one of my favorites, best is a very subjective term and your poll is very limited in options

I read that as "Best Rape Ever" and came here expecting a good thread. Oh well.
You're not going to last very long here.

Oh, and on that list I like Straight Outta Compton. (I loved the early Ice Cube, especially with Dr. Dre producing.)

I mean, Marshall Mathers LP. In fact, all of Eminem's albums. I like Eminem more than almost any rapper I have ever listened to, mostly for the comedic lyrics and catchy music.

[small]That's why I don't like his newest album.[/small]

the one where actual music was played, oh wait.
So, Damian Marley and Nas forthcoming album Distant Relatives? From the songs I've heard of it so far it may actually have alot to say in terms of competiting with some of the best hip-hop albums of all time, those guys gel so well together, it's madness. I wasn't sure about how a live band would sound at first, but some of the beats they've produced have been top stuff.

There's your attempt at trolling de-bunked.

Music is an art form in of itself.

Anyway, I would say The Infamous by Mobb Deep. However I voted for the Chronic in order to help give the poll some meaning.

"Blueprint" - Jay-Z
"The Chronic"- Dr Dre
"Straight Outta Compton" - N.W.A.
"Doggystyle" - Snoop Doggy Dogg

All of those are great albums, no doubt. Wouldn't call any of them the greatest of all time though.

"It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back" - Public Enemy and "Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers" - Wu-Tang Clan. I haven't got those albums but I have other by those groups and they are top quality.

I am not an Eminem fan.

It's Chamillionaire's Mixtape Messiah 7. He murdered it. If mixtape's don't count then Lil' Wayne Tha Carter III was the best.
