Not for nothing, but if someone won't date your friend just because he has braces, they probably aren't worth dating anyway.

I had braces from 14 to 16, at the time I thought it was horrible, but it's definitely worth it.

I agree here, depending on the colour of the braces and just how well they compliment the person they can be like glasses, sometimes cute sometimes not.

Yeah, but I think glasses make the girl look extremely sexy about 99.999999999% of the time.

Yeah, glasses seem to make intuecuality shine, which is pretty sexy for me too.

But it depends on the style of glasses for me.

Yes I'd date someone who had braces. It's a confidence thing.

Besides, you could always tell him that it's better to suck it up for 18 months than have a lifetime of crappy teeth. That would stop him from getting dates for sure.

These days bracers can nearly be invisible, but thats besides the point. They arnt that bad. Just very expensive for the parent and the person will end up with beautiful teeth in the end.

What style do you prefer?

I tend to like the thinner glasses best probably because that's what I wear:

When you're older it makes a bit of a difference... it wouldn't make a difference to me, but after you get braces off your teeth look so much better.

As a person with irreparably crooked teeth and legal blindness, I can honestly say I've never been bothered by people having braces, glasses, bad hair/skin, weight etc.

If I liked a girl, then I wouldn't give a damn if she wore braces. If you're gonna throw someone just because you think they're appearance is (temporarily) a little off, then you must be pretty shallow. Hope you have a better reason than "they look bad."

It depends. Do they have a great personality and sense of humor, in addition to being generally above average in attractiveness? Sure. Braces don't make or break a person.

agreed, and keep in mind that they are not permanent. Even if they don`t look good on someone, when they are done with the treatment they will have a beautiful smile, or at least nice straight teeth

If someone turns you down because you have braces, its because they are shallow and you are probably better off that way.

They are not attractive by any means, but they don't make a person ugly. If I liked said person for any other reason I would still date them anyway.
They are one of the least important factors in physical attractiveness in the first place.
