I still agree with you, but that's a bit different. An adult, unlike a child, has the ability to provide consent to matter, though not necessarily in your scenario, but they do. One role of the parents is to make choices in best interest for the child as they grow up. Though, debatably, I believe circumcision should not be one of those things.NeverAiling said:Think about it this way. Imagine someone coming into your house, and mutilating your adult body, while you slept, without asking you.
Would you just get on with your life and forget about it?
And restoration provides only appearance. The foreskin is an organ that is more than skin. There is no way to restore it. Only to recreate its appearance.
i would suggest doing some serious research first, as i would for any procedure you're going to have done to yourself or your child.Wolvaroo said:I'm circumcised and and quite happy about it. I'm glad my parents for whatever reason decided to save me even the most trifling chance that it'd need to be done when I was old enough to feel it.
As others have said, you can only speculate about how it would feel either way. And I've not had any problems with mine yet.
If I have a son and my wife is indifferent to the decision my vote shall be yay.
Say WHAT?! I thought circumcision was rare: only Jews and a minority of Catholics. I'm pretty sure circumcised guys are in the minority here in Australia.Spartan Bannana said:Being uncircumcised is outside the norm these days, with over half of the US being circumcised
I've had no complaints. Foreskin is a natural body part; the only reason a girl wouldn't like it is if she's been influenced (the nicest word I can think of for "brainwashed") to expect a circumcision by culture and family. Otherwise a foreskin is what her instincts would expect to see.Spartan Bannana said:I am uncircumcised. I'm a little worried about all this, I've heard girls don't like it, and being a teenager, that's pretty much ALL I worry about.
Woah! Someone mentioned that earlier and I thought they were taking the piss. $100,000 for a foreskin? Hmmm...nah, still not worth it. Any get rich quick scheme that involves me losing part of my penis is one I can do without.mastertang said:
You do understand the concept of 'humour' yes?mastertang said:You do realize it's the hospital that would get that money. They charge the parents to circumcise the child so in essence they'd be paying them to make money.scumofsociety said:Woah! No. It does not.MA7743W said:I don't really see why people do it.
It doesn't offer any medical benefits does it ?
Partly as a way to stem a certain type fungal infection as well I believe.Mystic Beef said:Circumcision was started in desert countries where they couldn't wash much and there was alot of sand.. you get the idea and then it was taken up by several Religions.
haha reverse for me!Grimm91 said:I am and if I always have wondered what it would be like if I was not.
This might be slightly off-topic,Fraser.J.A said:Of course you could make the same argument for armpit hair on girls, but we all know armpit shame was invented by marketers on behalf of shaving razor manufacturers. Yes, because vaginas are so elegant.StPararararanex said:I'm a girl and I have to say that uncut penii are really ugly. Sorry, but they look like some digusting thing off Trimmers. I prefer the cut
