I worship nothing.

All three consoles have nothing we haven't seen before (except the Blu-Ray from the PS3).
I wouldn't call be able to watch movies something I've not seen before, the PS3 is very powerful, but not innovative.

I'm not choosing any, I've dilly dallied with all of them, i've only been offended by Halo 3 so far on the Xbox.

I never said that it is innovative but it is something new for a console.

I worship nothing, for I am part of the PC master race. Consoles bow before me!

I'm confused, what about Blu ray is new?, its just a format for disc's, Compact Disc's were new in 1982, blu ray is just the next logical step for that tech.
Just because it has bigger memory, doesn't mean its a new thing.

I like the PS3, it just gets my goat about people calling it new tech, its not, the CELL processor is a RISC processor thats multi threaded, which has been done before, blu ray is just a disc format.

Sorry to bang on at you, its not your fault I feel this way! :D
but it still grabs my goat!

This is just another version of flame-bait.
I'm fully expecting that MOD ON STERIODS nilcypher to kill this thread the minute he logs on.

While I saw this as Flame Bait, I still fucking bit, shame on me.

If people are worshipping consoles, then maybe you should swap the 'l' for a 'n' in "cults" in the thread title.

The old Nintendo NES probably has more worshippers than today's consoles added together.

For first person shooter games, could you explain how it is still too imprecise? It's not like you typically need anything more than binary digital inputs for gross movements in competitive online multiplayer games.
Because you can only move in one of eight directions at most. Plus I find having to switch between them pretty awkward compared to pushing my thumb in a different direction.

I'd like to know where these FPS games are where analog movement is as crucial as aim.

Again, how many directions do you need to move in when playing a first person shooter? Considering everyone who plays the most demanding FPS games out there, Quake and Unreal, uses keyboards, I'm curious as to why they don't feel limited or awkward when doing things like this:
Each to his own. I just don't like them. I would also like to state 'why doesn't the controller set up feel inprecise when someone does stuff like this'?

My Xbox crapped out on me, I don't own a PS3, and my DS is my shameful little secret. I don't think I can worship any of those things. If I HAD to pick something to worship, it'd probably be the DS - maybe if I pray to it, playing game's won't destroy my wrist.
