Of course, but there's no need to when you wear these shirts:

That's one of many :)

Yup, need a couple of tries, though.

Didn't use suit and tie today, though, I'm a senior, so I'm what we in Norway call "russ", meaning that we wear something I would (almost) call a "uniform". Red baggy pants and a hoodie, in addition to a white lab coat in my part of the country.

I know how to do a basic one that looks halfway decent. Not the best in the world at it, though.

Yep. I use a Windsor knot every day.

I learnt (a four-in-hand, not the Windsor) in my first year of school (when I was 4) and there was a poster on the door containing a list of all the people who could tie their ties and shoelaces (I was one of the first people on it :D ).

My secondary school featured a tie as part of the uniform, with suits in the 6th form, so yes, I can tie a tie. Full Windsor knot too!
I can also tie a bow-tie! That takes a while to learn...

EDIT: Ha, I posted directly below someone who went to the same secondary school as me!

Of course I do, pretty much anyone who's been to a secondary school in England should be able to.
Ties weren't mandatory (and I don't recall them even being optional) for girls in my secondary school so I really have no clue how to do it. I mean, I can sort of picture my father and brother doing it and can probably mimic the movements but it would look bloody horrible.

(and yes, yes this was some time ago...the eighties)

A quarter of don't know how to tie a tie? Really? I mean...

I went to an english secondary school, so, yeah, I know how to tie a tie. Intentionally badly, admittedly, but I still know how.

Yes, I had to learn when I went to prep school, they had ties at my school in Dublin but they had fake ties for people who didn't know how to tie proper ones.

I always like to overdress for a party. Ergo I tend to wear a tie or bow-tie to a lot of events.

I once tried to explain to a girl how to tie a bow tie, and tried to demonstrate on her thigh. And stupidly said that I probably needed something slimmer about halfway through. Bad move.

Half windsor looks best on most of my shirts, some look better with a Pratt (haha). Does anyone use a tie slide? I like the look of them but I have never got round to getting one.

I sure can, but if I am to believe my buddy, I'm doing something wrong. Apparently I tie ties the American way, while he does it in the more fancy European way.
Meh, it does what it is supposed to regardless of what he says, so I don't care.
