Poll: Do the Escapists know how to tie a tie?

I'm a Norwegian stuck in Scotland for my National Independence day. It sucks.

On topic : Meant to wear one for last two (senior) years of school which i recently finished, so yes.

What are you talking about? The overwhelming majority of secondary schools in England don't include ties as part of the uniform.

But yes, I can tie a tie. I don't remember when I learned or why, but yes I can tie one.

Which is odd, because I don't think I've EVER needed to wear one at work...

I don't know how to tie a tie... I should learn how seeing as I'll be having job interviews soon. But, I am great with Bow ties. Being a musician in an orchestra does have its fringe benefits.

yes. ive known since i was 6. you have to dress for success and while i dont like ties they provide a very important part of an ensemble. they are the centerpiece of your body, so a good tie, and a good knot, are cornerstones for a good suit.

Yes, but not a Windsor. Only the good old 4 in hand.
I've only had to wear it ince, for a funeral, but I have it memorized.
(Too bad I can't memorize anything currently useful)

i had to wear a tie all through school and am now quite familiar with tying and escaping from both the half and full windsor knots.
