A few years ago a lot of McDonalds food issues were exposed through the documentary Supersize Me. After that McDonalds took a huge hit in business, but since then they've slowly recovered. So. do you still eat it?

As for me, I stopped eating it maybe 8 eight years ago but if I'm in a foreign country I will occasionally still eat fries or an apple pie because I know what I'm getting. (I swore off their 'meat' for life).
I really only go to McDonalds for their cinnamon melts and cheap summer drinks. Otherwise, very rarely.

Only if I'm working or with friends and I'm overvoted where to go. I haven't been there as my own decision in years.

Only fast food chain I go to because I like the food is Burger King because a Whopper actually tastes like food. Last Big Mac I had I preferred the packing over the... thing you are supposed to eat.

I eat it maybe once every couple of months at most. Usually because I'm hanging out with friends and it's getting late and we're all kinda hungry or something so we want something quick to snack on.

I've never been a hardcore McDonalds fan, myself. But I don't hate it either. I just don't eat fast food all that often in general.

Yes, because it's absolutely fantastic and I love it.

All I got from Super Size Me is that if you eat loads of calories and don't exercise, you'll get fat. Truly ground-breaking stuff, right there.
Not only that, but the guy WAS eating a totally vegan diet, which his body was used to, and then switched, cold turkey, to nothing but McDonald's (Which his body was NOT used to). Yeah, that polar-switch is going to eff your body up.

OT: I totally eat McDonald's. Saw the documentary, said 'Well that makes sense for Captain Vegan over there', and went to eat McDonald's. As it turns out: my liver isn't failing, and I'm a very slim lad.

I love me an angus mushroom & swiss.

I'm actually planning on working there part time when college starts up. Say what you will about their food, but as an employer, they are pretty good. They apparently really work around your schedule, have customer discounts that let you eat pretty much at cost-to-make, and offer their corporate scholarship to one of their employees every year.

yes. Because they are cheap, convenient, decent tasting, and generally clean.
And their quality has gone up in the last few years actually.

Yeah, of course I eat there. It's fast, easy, and it tastes good. I don't care what's in it. Yeah, the supersize fries aren't good for me, but neither are the fucking pesticides in your salad.
Supersize me was a fucking joke, of course bad things will happen if you eat that much salt every day, that doesn't mean that eating McDonalds occasionally will kill you.

My friend and I have a tradition. Every time we're leaving after a good, long day of airsofting in the middle of the desert, we stop at McDonalds and order 40 Mcnuggets and 2 Sweet teas.
This one time we even went with four of us and ordered 80 Mcnuggets and 4 Sweet teas. Ah, the looks on the employees faces as we drive away are rather hilarious. and the nuggets are so tasty...

I almost never eat there anymore, and never choose to go there myself (I won't turn down the option if someone else chooses it, free food). However I have always liked their vanilla ice cream so that is what I get when I go there, that or some type of breakfast biscuit.

Maybe I'm turning into an old man, but tho McD's is convenient, I find I can go to a local diner or bar and get a steak n fries or all day breakfast for the same money as a large 'extra value' meal from McD's.

Freshly cooked, on an actual plate, in relaxed, comfortable surroundings, and a heck of a lot more food.

Still doesn't stop me craving the occasional six nuggets and a quarter pounder with fries tho.

I do wonder how many people were 'educated' by Supersize me tho, did people seriously think any fast food place was a good idea to visit daily? I HOPE the majority of people know a strawberry shake and fries with ketchup doesn't count as 3 of your 5 fruit n veg a day, and no, you can't clear all 5 by going large on the shake n fries.

I also felt kinda 'betrayed' is extreme, but damn, McD's, what's with the salads? You're kidding no-one, now get out the back there and deep fry some processed meat for me like you're GOOD at!

Seriously, while I love a McD's breakfast, if you have time and a Wetherspoon's bar in town, head in and order the large breakfast, it's £4.10 and about 3 or 4 'Big Breakfasts' in size.

You should by law not be able to fit a 'BIG Breakfast' entirely into its own regular sized muffin.

no. For those of you that aren't aware, McDonald's is the most environmentally destructive fast food chain by far. They raise their cows in South America and nowhere else. That means they plow down more and more rainforest to make room for grass so the cows can graise. Why? Because it's cheap. Meanwhile the environment suffers immensely. Every time you buy a McDonald's hamburger, you are inadvertently supporting rainforest deforestation, on top of that it's cheap beef that tastes awful.

DONT. EAT. THERE. Or for the love of all that is holy, order chicken. Jeebus.

Not kidding. Ever seen that time lapse video someone made of a bunch of of McD fries? Three months and those things didn't even show a spot of mold. They're basically made of plastic.

Not saying that McDonalds is the most nutritionally sound, but those kind of videos are played for pure shock, fail to actually analyze what's occurring and jump to conclusions instead of questioning why.

Is everyone going to start question why dried food stays preserved so well?

Nope. I can't remember the last time I've eaten fast food.

When I was 10 or so, my sister gave me Eric Schlosser's book Fast Food Nation. It swore me off of fast food forever.

As long as you know that McDonalds only raises their beef in South America and continually clear cuts rainforests so they can grow grass for their cows to feed, as long as you're aware, go ahead and keep eating it, but stay informed.
