Poll: Do you generally think short hair is unattractive on most women?

AHAAHA.

Oh god, this so much. When I was hanging out with my now ex-girlfriend I would lean in to kiss her on the cheek and instead of landing a solid peck, I get a mouthful of hair. Believe me, it's not good.

On topic:

The funny thing I find is that girls can pull off any haircut, whilst I think guys can only look good with a shorter cut. I personally prefer shorter hair, from shoulder length to a guys style. I know a girl with the exact same hair style (fringe, medium length blonde hair) as a guy in our friendship group. She really pulls it off. There's also another girl with super long black hair.

I just can't imagine one of my mates having the super long black hair.

So after that long rant, my answer is... No. To be honest, I prefer chicks with short hair.

at least in areas I have been in, it's ALWAYS on a child too, which makes the feels all the worse. You know that child didn't pick that haircut, they walk around every day as living shame of their parents beyond horrid choice.

I used to have a friend who had a rat-tail, and whenever someone brought up either hair, scissors or hair cuts, everyone would just stop and stare at his rat-tail. And stare. And stare.

A few times the scissors were brought out.

And the problem was dealt with.

i prefer short hair over long hair on women, and long hair over short hair on guys (not that hair length will make me attracted to a guy, but i just like the look of it better). i love the pixie cut, i think it is the most adorable hair style. then again, am a "dyke," so maybe your friend is on to something there.

In my opinion short hair is not unattractive but I can't think of any example where it isn't less attractive than long hair.

I really adore the pixie cut on a girl that can pull it off successfully. By far the most attractive hairstyle in my opinion, especially for redheads. I generally like short hair best on girls, though long hair can still look pretty.

In general, long hair is safe.
But in terms of fashion I think short hair is better.

i also think it has to do with age.
Young girls always look better with long hair.
But the older and more flat and limp the hair becomes, the better it is to have short hair.
I think the cut off range for women (no pun intended) is around 25.

I generally prefer longer hair. Though, I have a pretty large definition of long hair for women. Basically anything over the pixie haircut is long in my opinion.

Generally speaking really short hair can be difficult to pull off, though. For example, I've seen recent pictures of Miley Cyrus with really short hair, and I don't think she pulls it off. At least, not in the very limited number of pictures I have seen.

Yes, some women cannot pull off the short hairstyle, but that goes for any fashion choice really from hair to sunglasses. People have different features which compliment certain looks.

That said, I find short hair to be extremely attractive. I dislike long hair on women. It may sound weird, but I am attracted to the efficiency of it. Long hair takes longer to wash, style and just gets in the way of any active behavior. It's similar to the question of large v small breasts. Sure they can look nice, but other than that they just get in the way.

How short are we talking? Something like a buzz cut, then no, not really. I don't mind shortish hair, but some people suit it more than others. Admittedly the only girl I know with shortish hair occasionally gets the nickname Dyke C (it's dyed red as well, which doesn't exactly help), but that's because her and two of our other friends (Dykes A and B) are pretty openly bisexual. It's all in jest.

depends on how short. if it's a buzz cut or something, i usually find it unattractive but if it's just a shorter than usual hair cut than it can look good on the right person.

Consider yourself lucky you don't live in Holland. Mullets aren't so much 'back' as 'still a thing' here. Blows my fucking mind. Along with suspenders hanging loose around trousers.

OT: Prefer short in general. Don't see the point to long hair. Mine's just long because I'm poor and lazy.

Generally speaking, I like short hair on women as well as long hair; however there're many ways the hair can be short or long, so I'd say my taste length-wise is NOT related to long or short, but to the style itself.

As long as the gal suits it. I actually have a really big thing for girls with shaved heads, don't know why. Same for women with really long hair, not a huge fan of middle ground.
