I can't stand uninverted controls on an analog stick. But I don't invert mouselook on PC shooters.
I found a paper during my psych degree research which theorised that inversion often comes down to perspective. Inverters apparently tend to view the camera as a physical mechanism wthin the virtual environment to be manipulated much like their neck would move to adjust the view in real life. Non-inverters allegedly see the environment purely as an interface so their logic dictates up be up and down be down.Pi_Fighter said:Apparently, when you pick up a game for the first time, whether or not you like the inverse thumbstick/mouse setting depends on which side of the brain you use most.
I use inverse. Because I can.
P.S. To anyone wonderring:
The y-axis is the up/down.
Heh, I thought I was going to be the only one with that answer.headshotcatcher said:on consoles I do, on computer i don't
yep, it defaulted to inverted camera and I hated it so much.Evil Jak said:Rivana said:It drove me crazy that it was inverted on coh/cov.Evil Jak said:I only use inverted camera on City of Heroes/Villains. Anyhting else and its up is up and down is down.
Was normal to them inverted? Cos it seemed that way, I have to change it every time I log in and it lies and says the camera is normal but it isnt.
