I don't care, with three exceptions, all boob-based.
One, if they are quintuple Z cups, then that's an issue. Second, if they keep moving for minutes after the character stops moving. Third, when the move independently to an extent where it is like there are same-pole magnets in each breast and they are trying to escape each other. Cut that shit out.
Otherwise, fucking, go nuts.

I can ignore it when it's infrequent, but when something like... let's say Air Gear happens. It's characterization was weak, it's story was so thin it was damn near transparent and the plot was held together with bailing wire. To solve all that every episode had so much fanservice I guess it just expected you to overlook what a fucking awful show it was.

Anyways, this is why I've recently been watching more Seinen anime as I find it deals with sex much more maturely.

Well, basically if it fits with the program and isn't excessive or something like that, then i guess i'm ok with it. If its happening every five seconds, then I am bothered by it.

Well fanservice is what ruined FFVII in the eyes of the gaming community and has just become another cash cow and punching bag for disgruntled FF fans of other games. I do not think that FFVII is the best it is just my favourite. All others have their own merits and brought something different and unique to the table so there is no best FF just a persons favourite game of the series.

Yes its fucking annoying.
To be fair a lot of the clips in that video are from a few different hentai, fanservice is pretty much the name of the game there.

As for fanservice in general anime, it doesn't bother me as much as a pointless sex scene in a movie and the like.

1) They are animated. If you are attracted to a cartoon....well, I won't go any further then that.

2) Most men who ask for that, don't watch Anime and those that do tend to want more then just that. They're watching a show, not porn.

Sometimes yes. I assume that by 'fanservice', you mean -completely unnecessary/irrelevant- boobage

It's OK if it's done funnily or in context, but a lot of the times, it's just completely random and unfunny. Like there will just be a random scene where the female characters are groping each other (for no reason at all), or some character will 'slip' and 'oops! panty shot'.

Sometimes it ruins the 'authenticity' of an otherwise good anime. It's a real shame.

I hate fan service. Cartoons aren't sexy, apparently men can't watch anything anymore without their being a token pair of tits in there (I'm suprised more aren't offended) and it makes me feel inadequate.
You should watch The Haunted World of El Superbeasto...

I recently made a thread talking about the new anime Highschool of the dead and to my surprise I had several people say the the huge boobs and random pantie shots known as Fansevice turned them off from the anime. I thought huge bouncing boobies and up skirt panty shots was all guys could ever ask for? Is it because when they finally get what they want they realise they dont truly want it anymore? or are men loosen their balls? What do you think?
I really dont care about it. I watched that anime. "fanservice" was only made for the comedy relief in that show, but for others, it may be different. But the evil organization we call "Parent Teacher Association" problably got rid of it. And what the fuck do you mean by loosen their balls? You act like all men are hentai watching pervs who walk to the pornshop every night.

Really?

Cuz I was able to identify like 80% of the anime in that vid since Ive seen a few clips of them.

But nonetheless its fanservice like that that makes newcomers see anime as retarded.

To give you an idea, its a cartoon movie produced by Rob Zombie... with fanservice.

Yes, fanservice does annoy me because its taking up time for zombie killing.

I don't want to be beat up by SNM Anime freak in leather carrying whips and cattle prod. It would be different with FAN SERVICE. (Got it, mate?)

I think fan service is dumb. They often base whole show on it... and they all suck. If you are trying to hide the weak story with T&A, either try to rewrite it or just abandon the project.

It depends. If the series is meant to be serious, then the boobs and butts have to be kept to a minimum. Series like One Piece work with the fanservice since it's largely humorous and only gets serious during the fights. But then you have series like Ikki Tousen or whatever the hell it's called where there's a neat concept (the warriors from the Three Kingdom era channeling their souls through modern day kids or whatever) but it's marred by freaking rediculous amounts of panties, big boobs, and ass grabbing. Look at Fullmetal Alchemist, while most if not all of the female characters were sexy and cute, none of them were just there to be bouncing tits and nothing else (barring that one quick boob joke in episode 19). For me, large amounts of fanservice is alright if the series is meant to be silly or if it adds to the overall nature, like in a romance series where the main guy may have bad luck with women, but great luck seeing them naked :p. One such series was Gacha Gacha which was pretty bare on the story (with some decent developement, but failing in it's overall finale), but had a decidedly good balance of the fanservice (the girls were well endowed, but not titty monsters as Yahtzee would say).

Depends on the anime/show/game in question. Things like Queen's Blade and Dead Or Alive are pretty much built around fanservice. This alone however doesn't make something worth watching/playing. If the anime industry was a foodstuff, fanservice would be the seasoning and eating just seasoning is likely to result in stomachache.

I've never really seen the point in fanservice, if I wanted to be titillated by underdressed women I'd be watching softcore porn, but I don't and I'm not so stop shoving boobs in my face.

How on earth can you be contemptuous of the standards of "men" (who happens to be individuals as well...), yet at the same time feel inadequate in regard to those very same standards??? I'd think disavowing a norm and submitting to it to be somehow incompatible...

I'd agree that publishers seem to think that "men" have an attention span which won't last more than 5 minutes without them seeing some T&A, but that's the whole problem with it!
