Stop quoting me! I used somewhat twice in one paragraph, that's horrible literary form. The Iron Ninja said:I concur with this man and his views.TheGhostOfSin said:So you're asking for a "controversial forum"
One day it'll be a "random forum" and then where will we be?
I concur with this man and his views too.Amnestic said:Blankety blank nothing to see here lalalala not listening lalalalalala
Ah! Thanks a lot.wilsonscrazybed said:You can always check in your profile to see threads you recently posted on.RhinoTuna said:I'm very new here but when i refresh a forum page, all the threads are completely changed and i forget where the hell the last thread i posted in went to. A new forum(s) wouldn't hurt.
People don't report you for making music posts, they report you because your music post say "I like Duran Duran, discuss!" or "Here's a link to youtube, discuss!" See a pattern there?Phantom2595 said:Definitely that way when people make a music post people won't report you for spamming the forums even though your just trying to talk about music.

But it must construct additional pylons.
How about you visit our sister site: The Warcry Network. [http://www.warcry.com/]PatientGrasshopper said:Yes how else am I going to get my posted on 10 forums badge?
I see what you mean. I just meant ones for current events, such as to take out all the Obama/Prop8 stuff and let me get back to random topics. I understand how putting one in specifically for controversial topics would be inviting disaster.chronobreak said:If there was a forum for "controversial" threads, people would start posting there with horrible topics, and it would spill over to the other good forums. I like it the way it is. The mods can be strict, but the Escapist community can be very strict too.
Don't do it, it's not worth the shame.wilsonscrazybed said:How about you visit our sister site: The Warcry Network. [http://www.warcry.com/]PatientGrasshopper said:Yes how else am I going to get my posted on 10 forums badge?
I actually bothered to vote in the poll just to spite you. Ha-ha!fish food carl said:Ooooh! An exact 50/50 tie! I wasn't expecting that... Nobody else vote! I like it the way it is!
And I bothered to vote, just to even it out again.Amnestic said:I actually bothered to vote in the poll just to spite you. Ha-ha!fish food carl said:Ooooh! An exact 50/50 tie! I wasn't expecting that... Nobody else vote! I like it the way it is!
I now understand why the Escapist took away signatures. The Iron Ninja said:Don't do it, it's not worth the shame.wilsonscrazybed said:How about you visit our sister site: The Warcry Network. [http://www.warcry.com/]PatientGrasshopper said:Yes how else am I going to get my posted on 10 forums badge?
[sup]Not to spread slanderous words about the escapist's sister site or anything, but I'm still feeling the emotional scars from back then[/sup]
Let me ask, how would putting all those topics in one place make moderating easier? Is this sort of an internment camp to keep those topics from mingling with the purer ones? Without invoking Goodwin's law I think you see what I am getting at, right?perfectimo said:I think just like in Year 11 and 12 English there should be an issues section. This would take all political / religious / controversial and other stuff that just end up in flame wars into one section saving the mods and fellow escapists time and frustration.
