Yes, in moderation only. For most people, they do not stop at 1 proper serving once a week.Jerre138 said:Speaking as a doctor, a single glass of red wine once a week wouldn't do any harm what so ever.
It has been found that children of mothers who drank red wine during their pregnancy, have less behavioral problems as well as cognitive defects than those who abstained from alcohol completely for nine months.
Other than this, girls who were born to women who drank wine occasionally, showed less emotional as well as peer issues than those who were born from women who did not have wine during their pregnancy.
And that is 100% true.
Except the doctor part.
Also, this reminded me of something I read in the newspaper a few couple of years ago.

That's actually a common misconception. Any amount of alcohol at any time can harm the baby. It's just a matter of when your luck will catch up with you.Marter said:I have heard that one drink a day will not harm the child.
Of course, it likely on a case-to-case basis, but one is probably okay.
Although, if I was female and pregnant, I wouldn't drink at all, just to be on the safe side.
The 4oz glass of wine is nowhere near as a bad as a bottle of vodka, as the OP described some women were drinking, which was my point.ravensheart18 said:Wow, the education system is failing people.
1 serving of ANY kind of alcohol has the same negative impacts on the body. A 4oz glass of wine is just as bad for you as a shot of vodka. It's foolishness to think otherwise.
