Play Fallout 3 then mve onto Mirrors Edge. Both good games that will make you feel better. Braid (the first level anyway) will make you feel lighthearted and happy.

Watch Scrubs on DVD, read the entire back catalog of Questionable Content comics (1 through 1354) and play GTA games (whichever one(s) you want, but I find killing people in IV to be exponentially more satisfying because of the Euphoria animation/physics engine).

Oh wait, we're talking about you? Whatever, try it.
God yes you absolute winrar. That's my weekend!

And if you came here to make fun of me due to the thread title, I will now supply what you want:

My life
An endless dark spiral
Go away mom
Never going to clean my room
You *****
what is it to make fun of? you got dumped as you say, it hurts like hell in the place thing hurt most! use some time to get back on your feet and then be stronger than ever becouse you have experienced true pain, not the sort that comes from a razor to your wrist, thats somthing else, but pain that you learn somthing from! I might sound like a real jackass but this is how it is! the pain of losing someone close or loved, if they die or dump you, its this pain that makes us grow, its what makes us stronger in the future! so if you belive this ex was the love of your life, stand up! there are more people out there! I don't know you at all but my guess is you deserve someone better! as I said this will take time! but things will be better, and when they do, they will be better than ever. trust me!

one "emo" to another, did this make any sense yo you?

...sorry, had to.

But seriously, if you're looking to burn some time with classy games I can fully recommend Fallout3. But don't rush through the story, take your time, explore.

If you like J-RPGs anything with "Final Fantasy" is generally a massive time burner, and the FF saga is generally the tete-de-la-créme of the J-RPG genre.

Ps: Eat tons of ice cream. Ice cream is fucking awesome and now nobody will ***** at you for eating your own body weight in delicious frozen goodness out of a broken heart... And goodluck.

It sure did. I appreciate the kudos, and to be honest, I'm getting a lot more "keep your chin up" comments than I ever expected. I was figuring on getting two or three good video game suggestions, than a deluge of "FUK U FAGET" hatemail.

I like you guys.

HAHA! *Claps like an idiot* HEHE *Claps in more moronic form*

Nah but sillyness aside, back when I only played PS2 games so Jak 2 is the only one I can offer you to get at the moment, considering you even own a PS2 anyway...

See, there's "justifiable emo" and "stupid emo". Feeling down and wanting to slump on the couch alone for some time because you got dumped is... Well... perfectly normal. The latter is when you decide to cut yourself because "nobody understands you!!!!"... And by that I mean some guy told you you look ridiculous in make up or the girl you have a crush on for 2 days didn't say hi the right way to you.

It's Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight vs. Peter Parker in Spiderman 3. First is a man in a fucked up situation that would bring any human to his knees and the latter is a whinny little *****.

In short: What you're going through is normal, and yes it sucks a big fat turd to be dumped... Goodluck with that... And eat ice cream... I cannot emphasize that enough.

Basically any role-playing game. They are engaging, they are fun, they are immersive, and they will make you forget about the world.

I'm not sure what "being emo" actually means. I thought it was a style of music, then I thought it was a fashion. Now apparently it applies to absolutely everything. Fucking postmodernism.

Someone had to say it at sometime, WoW, (WoW being World of Warcraft if you don't know) if you've got too much time WoW's they way to have away with it, I'm an ex-WoWer, but trust me, it's what you need right now.

Devil May Cry is a great game too, (especially for those slightly emo-inclined) I mean I've got 'em all and I play them when I'm pissed off

Radiohead are a great band for bad moods too, just listen to some of them, that'll make you feel better, or worse depending on your take on their music, in fact you hear of teenagers slitting themselves over Radiohead when their life sucks... Avoid Radiohead at all costs

Watch every episode of spaced on 4od, they're free if you too, if you've never heard of Spaced, watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2tLKjeOstg and you'll see what I mean, that always cheers me up.

have unprotected sex with a prostitute. That burning, broken feeling in your heart will soon be replaced by a burning, broken feeling in your crotch

Not a game, but what 's always cheering me up is watching "The IT Crowd".
Very nice british humor, especially when you re a little bit into tech related stuff. Its still hilarious if you re not. As for games, if you want something mind numbing and addicting as hell, try Heroes of Might and Magic 3 & 4 (don't bother with 5) or civilization 4. The second will swallow whole days of your life and then asks for seconds.
And, heads up. The bad feelings fade eventually.
