maybe you shouldn't buy it only for this (though it's still awesome) but play the last stage of Gears of war 2.
not a permanent solution but using orbital lasers always cheers me up.

LittleBigPlanet! Get a friend over and that game is guaranteed to cheer you up!
Dont forget to smack them into the fire/spikes/enemy/electricty/poison right as they're lining up their jump. Funny every time. Seriously. Its actually disturbing to make the death of a creature as hilarious as this. Im often suprised there isnt massive backlash at the game for making death cutesy, but then again, those parents only look at the covers and the hype, dont they? =P

But seriously, in case you didnt get my point. LBP. Co-op. Make it a contest to see who can get through the level best without being assassinated.

Also, Diablo 2.

And...Im tempted to say Warhammer40k DoW2, the single player is really quite fun, with the basic rpg elements....but I dont know if I'd condone buying it if you werent already interested, cause the sp does run out....and then the mp seems to be hate it or love it.

Oi, don't be mean!

Gaming with a friend is much more enjoyable. Just last Sunday I went to a friends house and we played on the N64. Good times.

Agreed. Don't go creating pointless self pity threads. Just get over it and get back out there.

What you need is a little thing called "a few popcap games"
Bright, cheery and really addictive

If you like strategy titles, I am really getting sucked in by the new Empire: Total War. The hours just fly. A big improvement for the series.
Yeah, boot up the game, and 5 turns later....IT'S BEEN HALF-A-DAY! (that's what it feels like anyway). To think that the entire time you were conquering the world.

Another fun time-sucker is The Witcher.

Truer words never spoken.

Stop being a pussy and crying over yourself. People have it much worse, I know, because for example my friend's dad left her, mom's a *****, one sister is as bad as the mother, and the other one is in England.

Also, you probably got dumped due to your attitude. Get over yourself.

A classic to be sure!

You'll get out of it eventually. Until then have fun with all the crazy suggestions people are providing you... maybe even watch some mind crippling animes?

I always find those fun :D. Have a look at "Serial experiments Lain", and if that can't keep you amused, try Higurashi or Blood+.

Those are just my preferences though. Take care :p.

Shit happens. Don't feel like being sympathetic after what I've had to do this weekend.
Here's what you do:
-Play Left 4 Dead.
-Play Silent Hill 2 or 3.
-Play Half Life 2 through to Episode 2 but don't watch the ending. You go off in the helicopter and all is good ok?
-Play TimeSplitters 2.
In that order. You need to harness the misery then blast it.

Those are manners, if no one ever tells this little shit to smarten the fuck up, he never will, and will end up not much different from yourself, a burden to society.

EDIT: I'm helping him in the long run.

took the words right out of my mouth brother

I mean I got dumped by a girl who i seriously like and now she goes out with my best friend, and instead of crying about it like an emo punk, I'm dealing with it. There are lives that are much worse than yours, why don't you go live in a 3rd world country with barely any food or water. Be happy with what you have

I know this isn't a game but take up a sport, anything to get you out of the house, running and having the wind blow through your hair is something that's great to feel, it also reminds you that you're free now, you can do whatever you want.

I started Parkour when my ex broke up with me, I'm nearing 8 months come March 11th and haven't looked back since, well until my ex managed to come back into my life recently but that's another story lol.
This, with bells on it. I used to sink into game playing when life threw crap at me, and it never ever helped to do anything except prolong my unhappiness and make me even more separated from people.

Go for a run, or a long fast walk, or just throw a ball at a wall. Anything physical. Even if you have to force yourself to do it the first time, because of a real lack of energy or motivation (lethargy seems to be my first symptom of uunhappiness!), the second time will be easier and before you know it things will be great again. It really does work.

I'm not knocking games, I've just found that they're great when I'm happy and bad for me when I'm not.

In a couple of years time you will laugh at your current self for being such an idiot.
Seriously grow up and play a manly game like Empire: Total War. Or Barbie: Pony Princess, your choice.
